I can see that, but on the other hand, I think she genuinely enjoys having fun with her friends and it's not just an act. She doesn't like the dark side she has. She may have lived for many years now, but her body is still young, and her mind? Well, she loves running around outside, playing with her friends, pranks and silliness. She's clearly still a kid, and when the endless June cycle was broken, I'm sure she went straight back to childhood and enjoyed being a carefree kid while she could!

hmm yeah i see where youre going with it! Rika can be really silly and playful sometimes, showing her sportiness as a thing from her boyish side!! im sure her mindset is really mature because of traumatization but after the cycle broke i feel she will always have memories of it, just be a little more optimistic about it like a small child!!

Where do you think Hanyuu and Rika fit into this, then? I see Hanyuu as a girly-girl with a boyish streak, and Rika as a tomboy with a girly streak! (She can seem a little girly in comparison to the even more boyish Satoko, but compared to the other girls I think Rika definitely counts as a tomboy?)

hmm i say i have to agree with the hanyuu one, though with rika i cannot say. at first she might seem girly and cutesy but her real personality is really dark.. like if anything i find her as the cool type!

Honoka and Nico! As I mentioned mixing up stereotypes, I see Honoka (and Rin) as tomboys with a girly streak, and Nico as a girly-girl with a boyish side to her personality!

i really like nico too!! a lot of ppl dont like her due to her "nico nico nii!" And im just like LET ME LOVE YOU NICO~

Indeed! D: I really like characters who mix up gender stereotypes btw - tomboys with a girly streak or girly-girls with a boyish side. Chiaki fits that really well, and I think most of the Higurashi girls do too!

yes, those characters are honestly the best! i find them more unique than the typical “iiiyaaa dont look at my boober pantsu” anime girls, or the boring anime guy that doesnt do anything and just sits in his room but somehow is the “almighty male” on something (like a vid game). also do you have a best girl in love live?

I really like Chiaki! She's really cute and I identify with her sleepiness a lot. I really like how she's both cute and kind/gentle without being stereotypically feminine - I think she's a tomboy, but in a completely different way to someone tough and sporty like Akane or kind but athletic like Aoi. She's more like a kind and nerdy/lazy teenage boy.

yesss i love that about her too! her dreamy personality and her cute face just makes her the cutest little babe ever!! when i found out what happened in chapter 5 my heart just broke apart ;_;

Oooh Dangan Ronpa! I'm not sure why but I think a Chiaki or Chihiro muse would suit you? They seem the most Hanyuu-esque in personality (and in cuteness!) I think Hiyoko also seems like she'd get on well in the Higurashi universe, laying traps and being a little scamp with Satoko and Rika, and generally being mean and tough enough to survive through Hinamizawa Syndrome and its difficulties.

hmm that will be a little hard since i have a lot of fav characters from the SU fandom haha ^^; but from the love live fandom i think it would be really fun to roleplay as Nozomi since shes my fav! i am interested in roleplaying as a lot of characters from my old fandoms too like higurashi, dangan ronpa, umineko, etc :^)

See, roleplaying isn't about being absolutely perfect at writing, it's about getting into your character's psyche - how they think, feel and act, how they'd react to certain questions or situations. You had Hanyuu spot on! I felt like I was really talking to her when I sent her asks two years ago! And that, not the quality of your writing, is what makes you a great roleplayer and a very cute Hanyuu! Are you getting back into it?
