while my new blog for blitz is getting all set up i might spend some time over here on my boy clayton.
gamenu:
“Dude, I have a righ’ ta my privacy, jus’ like youse have a righ’ ta tha’ tacky ass eyepatch o’ yers.”
{/She had half a mind to yank on it again. How dare he call her stupid! Nicole wasn’t stupid by any means. She might not have been as smart as he was, but that didn’t mean she was stupid. Her favorite grandpa told her so.}
“No, they won’.”
“--Irrelevant,” you muttered. “Maybe on this planet you human beings have certain rights and whatnot, but I’m not from this planet; nor this universe. I can do as I please.” Of course, there were stipulations. You weren’t supposed to meddle with individuals and their lives; nor were you allowed to hinder or advance society in any way.
Those were rules established long, long ago by fellow omnipotent beings. Naturally, you hated them. They didn’t know as much as you did--considering your origin, but whatever. You did what you wanted.
“--I could always clone you. I don’t know why I haven’t done that yet. It’s not like snagging some of your DNA would be hard.” You pause. “That’d be the easy way out.”
lamaree:
While you were tempted to bark back at him for basically calling you an idiot, the thought subsided as the meddler finally granted you a some solace to your choices. You would go back. Not now, possibly not even in the next few months. However to know one day you would return to a period in time that you were truly happy in and belonged? That was the greatest news to ever know.
You sighed with relief. Though of course there were still pressing matters to be discussed. Such as your current situation.
“–If that’s the case, then what the hell do I do for now. You haven’t done your usual hint throwing stunt yet and I want a hint on how to get past a shitty boss I’m dealing with. Killing isn’t the same for me anymore.” That much was right. When you were on Earth, the rules were different, but lately you felt like a hired killer. And that didn’t sit well with you. ” It used to be in self defense, against people I knew who were dangerous. But instead the asshole’s trying to turn me into his personal assassin it seems. I don’t want that anymore. So you want me to leave, gimme a tip on gettin’ through that much at least.”
You sigh once more--obnoxiously so--and reach for some papers scattered about the desk you were sitting at. Some were relevant to this certain conversation, while the rest were documents about random things; your notes never did have any order to them.
As Milt spoke you acted completely indifferent, and flipped through the various pages within your grasp.
“--I’m sorry,” you said. “Do you have me mistaken for someone so predictable? You just assume that I’ll point you in the right direction, do you? Don’t bother answering. Those were rhetorical.” You casually tossed the bulk of the papers in your hands at Milt, scowling.
“--I don’t want to tell you shit.”
doviilove:
||ღ|| “You’re closer to human than I’ll ever be, dear. And because of that you should allow some cheer into your life. A little love…”
Holiday or not, she was determined to get him out of his lab for a few hours and experience some fresh air. A little sun would do the lanky grump some good! She stands up from her chair and gestures for him to follow her. “Come with me! I’ll you to my world—we’ll go shopping! And we can sing carlos! Oh, and I’ll make you coca & cook for you! When’s the last time you’ve had a decent hot meal, Clay?”
“--You shut your mouth,” you grumbled. The poor cigarette in your mouth nearly snapped in half because of her comment, and how irritated it made you. Supposed God of Love? She was more like a Devil, or something equally as vile and annoying. The list went on, really.
When she stood you remained planted in your seat. “--I thought I said no,” came your reply. “I do not want to go shopping, or do anything with you. I’d rather work on my experiments, or populate some desolate planet with intelligent life and make them assume I’m their God.”
irafatum:
“ … that’s nice? And I should give a shit why? ” She was more than a little puzzled, especially since this guy didn’t look much of anything himself.
“--It’s never wise to irritate or bother someone on a higher level of existence,” was your reply. “If that’s too wordy for you I can dumb it down. Ahem.” You clear your throat, sarcastically. “I’m better than you and, to my irritation, you don’t seem worthy of my experiments.”
gamenu:
“Fuck wi’ my head again an’ I’ll kill yer ass!” {/She lets go of the eye patch letting it snap back on his face.} “Youse needs ta stay tha hell away from me! Ya go’ tha’?”
The material of your eye patch--which felt like leather but was strangely elastic--ricocheted back into your face and, with a growl, you reached up to quickly fix it.
“--You stupid little girl,” was what you said next. “Do you think I care if you break this reality? I’ll survive. You won’t cease to exist.” With a huff, you stood--and regained your composure. “I’ll have you know that I do what I want. Your abilities will be studied whether you like it or not.”
holysung:
“ i’m not exactly partial to the idea of being – taken apart. i apologize. “
“--Pity,” you muttered. “I could have used the data. No matter. Countless realities, and all that. I’ll have my chance.” You exhale some smoke toward the tool, and sigh.
lamaree:
He should have expected you not to understand that question, love was something you knew yes but not enough to understand it’s power. You loved that boy he mentioned, yes with all your heart but…would you really hurt yourself for him? You were smarter than that, or so you wished you did. If the situation was dire you probably would have thrown yourself into harms way to protect him.
“–What re you trying to get t-”
But you were cut off, given an explanation that you never would have thought possible. It made your eyes widen in disbelief even. You could go back? But you and everyone….would die…?
The realization caused you to freeze in place. A shiver coursed its way up and down your spine. Your throat felt tight, like you were trying to swallow something, yet no matter how you tried you couldn’t. Swallowing anything he said right now was too hard to do.
You could die. Your worse fears could be realized right then and there, but you knew better. Would it be worth it to see Blitz again, just to perish and kill the universe? No. No matter how much you loved him, it was for the best. It killed you to even think that.
Did this mean your goals and seeking this man out were all for nothing? Could it mean your initial choices before going to the past would be your fate? To die from the bullet you planned to lodge into your brain by your own hand once everything was finished? No, it couldn’t be. There had to be a point in the past you could go back to, even if it was far past the point you were in. A few years maybe? But…would Blitz still want you then? Wouldn’t he have moved on by then?
Fuck.
Your angry nature started to shift into something more sorrowful.
“Are you trying to tell me I’ll never be able to go back without causing this universe to die…?”
“--Well, I’m shocked. That was the first smart thing you’ve said since barging in here.” You huff. “You stupid, ignorant girl.”
If only she knew a small portion of what you did; maybe she’d stop acting like a spoiled fucking brat. Unlike simple beings, your outlook was on a much higher plain of existence. You thought millions, even billions of years ahead. You saw outcomes not even fathomed yet, and realities yet to be formed.
Everything you did was for the bigger picture.
“--You’ll go back,” you grumbled. “When you’re supposed to go back.”
gamenu:
“I told ya if ya came near me wi’ them tools, I was gonna rip yer damn eyepatch off!”
“--Listen. I know your entire species evolved from a fucking cesspool, but you have to believe me when I tell you this. Fuck with my eye patch, and this reality will be destroyed. I cover my goddamn eye for a reason, you twit.”
“--Hey, hey, hey!! Hands off the eye patch, you simple minded neanderthal!”
