Godscobh HQ is officially back in business and ready to get active for the summer! A little housekeeping for current members can be found under the cut.

Godscobh HQ is an Tumblr rp that has been going strong for nearly 2 years now thanks to our wonderful bunch of writers here and the relaxed, friendly environment we foster. We accept ocs based on characters from a variety of works, including Greek mythology, Disney and other animated films, and classic literature! If this sounds like the rp you've been looking for, shoot us an application now and we'll kick off the summer making new friends!

Hey current members! I'll be queueing up promotions and getting ready for a new event in the next few days, so keep an eye out for new things happening on the main. In the next 1-2 weeks, I would recommend the following:

Get in touch with other writers again and discuss what's going to happen with old threads ( like if you plan on continuing them, or you could just agree on what's happened in the meantime for your characters )

If you are continuing old threads, I'd say you have about 1-2 weeks to wrap them up before I launch our new summer event in mid-late June ( I don't have a date yet but it'll launch on a weekend and will extend through the whole summer )

Let me/the group know if you plan on changing anything about your characters. For the most part we should just be picking up where we left off before pausing, but this would be a good time to make changes too if you've been considering it

Try making something for Task 2! This fell to the wayside a bit back in April, but this would be the perfect thing to help drum up muse again if you want something creative while we get active again

TASK 02: PERSONAL STYLE

Happy Springtime! Task 02 is described below. Godscobh's tasks are not mandatory, but are encouraged for developing character realism and exploring parts of your muses that may not come up organically in threads.

In World: Godscobh has been having a relaxing spring after a chaotic start to the year, and many residents are just hoping that nothing else drastic happens while they rebuild their businesses. More shops are opening up along the boardwalk and tourists are beginning to flow in as the weather gets ( marginally ) warmer! It's time to switch your dressers and closets over from "cold weather" clothes to "warm weather" clothes, and maybe even purchase a few new pieces to dress up for springtime events like weddings, showers, and birthdays!

Summary: We are launching this task during a slower period of Spring 2026 for our group, so writers can interpret their tasks in various ways depending on how much time they have to post. Your task should include images and/or links to outfits that you think your muse would have in their closet for: daily wear, formal events, athletics, parties, hot weather, cold weather, and whatever else your heart desires! You could design a graphic for this, make a moodboard/collage with images, or just include any images you desire in a longer post detailing your muse's style journey. You could also include makeup and hair looks if your character likes to experiment with those!

The goal of this task is to see how your character presents themself as they get to know others in a small town where everybody knows each other. What is the first impression strangers get from their style? How important is dressing up for them? Do they care a lot about their appearance, or very little? These are all questions that can be food for thought as you create your tasks!

Seeing how work and school are getting tight for a lot of us writers this season, I'm planning on launching one more #godscobhtask in April and then stepping back from updating the main here until summer. Members can just keep an eye out for the new task this upcoming weekend to kick off April, and of course still write to your heart's content when you find the time!

The main blog here at GodscobhHQ will be paused until early June, but we are very much staying open and we'd still love to see new friends join once we hit summer, so we we will be back in action soon! Thanks everyone for keeping up with our group!
