Who knows, maybe in the end it’s best if only Nepeta comes back. Between her and Feferi they both got the raw end of the deal narrative/story telling wise, but it seems with Nep people will only be annoyed (because I’ve seen people say “why bring her back? She didn’t do much/is useless/was barely there why do people miss her”). Not like EVERYONE will shit themselves if Feferi comes back, but I can think of a few different people who will get absurdly angry because some of the fandom’s convinced that she was an abuser. (I still literally don’t get that. And I’ve seen the arguments, so don’t come at me yelling about what she supposedly did)  Honestly I love both Nepeta and Feferi, so seeing one or the other will make me happy. I’d rather see both, but at this point it seems like a long shot. I don’t even need them to be alive because as proven/shown in this comic, you don’t need to be alive to be in the story.

The thing with Homestuck is it has a fuck ton of characters so obviously they’re not ALL gonna be important or relevant, but I think it’s kinda fucking stupid to know that people are wanting to have their faves back, if only to see them helping out or even just talking (Feferi and Nepeta) and acknowledge this in canon like “hey, we can bring these characters back!! Who wants to see these characters back!!!!!” and then... not do it? Like why have Tz say that and then it doesn’t happen (maybe it will, but I’m not holding my breath). And honestly thinking about Fefetasprite gets me sad because she/they did a bunch of cool stuff like help Roxy out through rough times and had a ton of cool conversations with her but like we never ever got to see or HEAR any of that. All of the convos were offscreen and made even worse with “haha oh that Fefeta she talked ALLLLL the time!! what a chatterbox!!” and then we never got to see a doublesided conversation between Fefetasprite and Erisolsprite. And then after Fefetasplode, we see Nepeta and Feferi back in the dreambubbles with Vriska and John and everyone, but they still get absolutely no speaking lines or anything. (Also not to mention all the dead Nepeta jokes. Thankfully there was John, THAT ONE TIME, saying wow what a shame that this poor girl is dead) So people complain “ugh why do these stans want these unimportant characters back, just let it go already!” Well maybe we wouldn’t be upset if these characters weren’t constantly treated so crappy within the narrative, like they’re worthless and treated like shitty jokes

And for that matter, Feferi too. She’s either looked over or treated like she was the worst character and it’s like yeah she wasn’t perfect by any means, but overall she did have some niceness in her and wanted to do good. (and I always see posts emphasizing how she’s not “sugary sweet/bubbly and is problematic” and it’s like lmao bruh you’re like the 700th post saying that, this isn’t news. It’s been said before. Multiple times by different people. We get it). I just really love her and wanted better for her too.

And alright this is random but I feel really bad for Nepeta fans right now, the people who fell in love with this character and wanted better for her. Like I just keep seeing posts saying stuff like “jeez what’s up with the nepeta fans wanting her back she’s not relevant/didn’t do anything important and is boring” and it’s like lmao yeah sorry people actually liked her and wanted a lot better for her like really bruh are you kidding me

You know I see everyone theorizing that The Mayor is most likely dead (I mean, in realness he probably is), but let's just say he somehow miraculously survived (because people in this webcomic have suffered terrible injuries/happenings and have lived before). So he's alive and somehow makes it to where everyone is and he comes across PM and Jack. He's still terrified of Jack, but PM's really happy/relieved to see him alive and well after all this time, but then he notices that his friend Dave is dead and sees the two stab wounds and he puts two and two together and he gets really upset and he can't believe PM killed his friend and she also gets a realization that oh no, maybe Dave wasn't the enemy, what have we done and The Mayor just kinda cries over Dave's body.

Unpopular opinion time for the Eighth Doctor fandom.

SORRY BUT NO. NOPE. NEIN. NOOOOOO.

I may be comparatively new to a lot of Eight’s stuff, but saying “it should’ve been paul” really makes me annoyed and a bit disheartened to be a part of this fandom. I understand that I’m probably taking this from a ‘new series’ perspective but I really, really, really like the War Doctor and I love how they turned the Doctor into the ‘Warrior’, in my opinion this was the best decision/happy accident (if the Eccleston story is to be believed) to occur as a resolution to the Time War arc.

I prefer to think on my Who from an in-universe perspective and my interpretation of canon strongly comes from that (i.e. the Faction Paradox texts can work because they held their own records but did not want to name the Time Lords). An personally, my interpretation of Eight would not have fought in the Time War. Yes, he’s angry, but he’s also fed up and lost and would have been driven mad. He would not have fought on the front lines. Even the War Doctor gives up fighting after all that time.

So, the War Doctor ‘could’ve been Paul’ - but wasn’t.

And I’m glad about that.

Still should’ve been Paul.  The Eighth Doctor is not a coward. If it came down to it, really came down to it, he would’ve been in on the Time War. He wouldn’t just cop out and ignore something that very much involves not only his species but also his oldest enemies, and the good chunk of the universe both sides were mowing down because of that war. He would’ve been fighting against the Daleks with the Time Lords until coming to the full realization on just exactly how corrupt they are and that they just as much the enemy as the Daleks are. And he knew what would’ve had to be done. The War Doctor barely constitutes as a warrior. He certainly didn’t show us anything of the sort when we saw him in the war (he rammed into some Daleks with his TARDIS and used a laser gun to write onto the wall ‘No More’? That’s not exactly doing much). We kept being told ‘he’s a warrior and he’s not the Doctor’ and yet his personality and the way he acts isn’t different from a lot of other Doctors we’ve had.  And from a meta perspective the War Doctor’s presence not only doesn’t make sense, it’s actually a bit disrespectful.  It doesn’t make sense in the way that characters in the show and we the audience KNEW what the Doctor had done in the Time War, and yet the War Doctor is the Doctor’s ‘greatest secret’ because of what he did? But we knew about what the Doctor did in the Time War. Some of the characters from the show were told of what he did.  And it’s disrespectful that Paul McGann wanted to come back and be apart of the 50th anniversary special, but instead is replaced with an actor that has never been the Doctor before. No offense to Mister John Hurt, because while he is a good actor, why was he there? The 50th anniversary was supposed to be celebrating the show’s history. Paul McGann is very much a big part of that history, and yet he was in a mini special related to the 50th and that was it. And why? Because the head writer deemed him “too pretty” to be involved in something such as war.  It should’ve been Paul.
