YET ANOTHER THEORY (actually three)
Okay, now this theory might be a bit loose and can use a bit more solidifying, it’s a theory after all.
Feel free to correct me, add to this web of text as we dive into it
We will cover a few more topics starting with Kawasaki and 02 kids onward to the origins of the secret agency and last but not least we try to identify the main villain based on the info we acquired so far on the story.

It starts with the mentioning of Kawasaki blackouts was right after the few frames of 02 kids losing a battle with some digimon, the very next day where Taichi met Agumon.
The Kawasaki area is near Odaiba about 11m by a taxi, it can be reached in a shorter time-span via flying (using digimon that can fly),
Assuming our 02 kids have already reunited with their digimon shortly before heading to the distortion area likely by the same way Agumon appeared from nowhere to save Taichi which was totally strange since he didn’t ask him what happened to the digital world and what’s the cause of that mess that they are having. None of the digimon partners really talked about the digital world this whole time and it’s even stranger and rather puzzling, it kinda indicates that the digital world is still safe and sound….Or maybe there is something going on under the hood that nobody else knows about including the digimon there….anyways
Maki on the other side of the deal, the one tracking the 02 kids, especially Ken, maybe was the person who led the 02 kids to that area. The method is not clear yet but I think it was a kind of an anonymous massage that warned them about a disturbance at the Kawasaki area caused by a digimon.
The 02 kids didn’t consider it correctly and decided to handle it themselves without informing the other chosen children so the others didn’t know what happened to them.
As we all know the distortions usually happens when a gate to the Digital World opens the symptoms are usually a strong interference on electronics, it causes them to go crazy, however considering a powerful gate opening for the first time after a long while it can cause a blackout for a few mins just like at the first digimon movie where the nearby buildings lighting was going off and on randomly.
Our 02 kids had a battle there but am not sure with which digimon, it might be Alphamon, they did show him on the end but that’s what toei wants you to believe as usual if it’s too clear it might not be the absolute truth about it, moving forward that digimon jumped back to the portal the 02 crew took the chance and followed him, the outcome wasn’t pleasing as we all saw.
Now what makes this more believable is that firstly Miyako was wearing normal clothes (no helmet or gloves), not her DW outfit which might hint that they were in the real world for the first part
Ken’s digivice screen was lit by a blue light which means he was using it for evolving during that scene that means they already have their digimon with them at that time,
Daisuke’s outfit is clearly his DW outfit which indicates the other half of the battle took place at the digital world, where they lost basically.
That’s the Kawasaki and 02 kids link theory, moving on to the secret agency origins
We might had contact with secret agencies before like Hypnos in tamers but hypnos’s original purpose was to monitor the electronic communications of half the Earth as a SIGINT system for the Japanese government. Because of the legal issues of violating privacy, Hypnos was kept secret from the public just as its real life counterpart project, ECHELON. However, Hypnos discovered Digimon (termed "Wild Ones") who entered the real world. As a result, the agency's new objective is to detect Digimon when they Bio-Emerge in the real world and to prevent it if possible.
This time they introduced us to a new type of agency that has an informer inside the digital world and has the ability AND budget to have armed forces to take down digimon with anti-digimon weaponry these guys take the trophy of being the most suspicious group in digimon secret groups, if you think about it for a minute, an agency this large and this advanced in tech couldn’t defeat a few digimon so the relay on a few kids and their digimon to solve it all while they sit there and monitor it silently.
It hit me recently that we might be looking at another DW3 scenario with A.O.A (Army of Analogman or Admins of Apocalypse) as the loose base concept of this agency. If you didn’t play Digimon World 3 let me give you a brief explanation who were the A.O.A
A.o.A is a European cybernetic terrorist group and one of the antagonists of Digimon World 3.
The MAGAMI Corporation which hosts Digimon Online in the game, is actually a cover for the A.o.A. Most of its staff is part of the terrorist group, though some people are unaware of what they have gotten themselves into. Through Digimon Online, the A.o.A planned to create an artificial Digimon which could combine its Matrix Data with any machine, creating a fearsomely powerful and loyal Digimon that would help them conquer the world.
Now with this concept you can feel some lines click in your mind and matches with this mysterious agency, they might be the cause of this mess by trying to create a new digimon virus as a defensive weapon or to control the digimon they desire but it might backfired as the virus leaked to the digital world and it resulted into Meicoomon being born with that data or the first digimon to be infected by it without them knowing about it, spreading it around the digital world,
as Maki wasn’t aware at it first (or they want us to think like that) but at the end of the last ova we so far know for sure that they know by now, they might not be a terrorist group but a bad group in general that want to have the upper hand if a digimon invasion was ever to happen considering the past experiences Japan has to deal with in the past years of digimon attacking the cities percussion must be made.
Plus they were monitoring Ken before the other 02 kids as we see at the beginning of the first ova before anything happens, the first frame was dedicated to Ken’s location then a frame shows the rest which indicates that they have good knowledge of their targets
since Maki identified Ken’s dark side aka the digimon Kaiser persona, they have a strong database on all of the chosen.
After all of this am still waiting for more answers since the last ova loaded us with more questions than answers as they are playing this game of ‘mystery sells’, so far am pretty sure that this organization is not completely white, it might fall into the grey area for most, but am pushing it a bit further to the dark area based on what I knowledge about them so far, possibilities are great eh?
Now to the main villain part. Who is the bad guy here?
I already talked about Alphamon in my past theory and I still hold on to it for good reasons
Now the Kaiser is a nice addon but I don’t think he is our main villain here maybe a minion and I know what you are thinking by now and no neither it’s Meicoomon there is a face yet to be uncovered that is behind all of this.
If we take it by order briefly then it goes like this:
Alphamon chases Meicoomon the infection source
Kaiser sends some infected kuwagamon to scout the area to find Meicoomon
Hackmon is monitoring Meicoomon at the same time too
The fight at the at the airport takes place and Alphamon gives the chosen a hand (literally)
Alphamon locating Meicoomon for the first time by the help of hackmon so he takes the chance,
due to the heavy battle he decides to strike at another time when the opportunity comes while
Hackmon learns more about the chosen during that time by monitoring them carefully instead of Meicoomon
Kaiser Decides to take action and capture Meicoomon but it was a failure so he retreats
Hackmon was watching all along and studying him potential enemies silently in the background
Meicoomon gets overwhelmed by the infection and goes fully out of control because of it
This pattern shows that there is a race for the infection source but for different purposes, Kaiser don’t want it for himself surly, he also has a reputation of working for someone else and at the same time Alphamon seeks the source to destroy it so there is a hidden third part that has a purpose for it that they might hint about in the upcoming ovas, who knows..
Okay that was a good brainstorming and it’s some good points to consider since there is some good evidence that they can happen.
Hello Tumblr, sorry for my inactivity lately, been working, you know, life and what not.
Today I wanted to clear these questions from my mind and find out who is this delightful person, After a little research I think it’s obvious now, it came a bit late I know, i wasn’t here when it came out but still, just to clear any questions out there.
Keep in mind the color still suffers from some degrees of barely-visible red tint so the color might be a bit off but it’s the closest thing you can have without damaging the original color.

So where does huckmon/hackmon fall in your theory?
Inside the frame of my theory and from the information i have on hackmon so far, he is a royal knight which means he is on aplhamon side, so his task was to track meicoomon in the real world and inform alphamon about the location, since he was smaller it’s easier for him to track down targets silently, you can see him tailing meicoomon in most of the segments that involve that digimon movements. He didn’t start any close range fights which for one confirms that his task is to track and inform only, there is still more stuff to consider about hackmon but this is a rough line that will guide your fine line-art for the moment, thanks for the question!
The good guy and the 02 kids mystery theory in Digimon Adventure Tri.
Hi, I have this wild ideas going on in my head lately and I wanted to tie loose ends and figure out whats what so here goes nothing:
am gonna make it brief as possible.
At the start we all saw the 02 kids as follows:
Let’s start with this:
First Daisuke’s outfit is from the digital world, remember? Whenever they go inside the digital world they change clothes?
Now Daisuke had his digital world clothes alright but I can’t say the same applies to Miyako since she wears something new, I always get confused with the iori different outfits so I can’t quiet tell if he has a new one, but it seems like his digital world outfit.
Okay we got that now, this fight takes place in the digital world, with alphamon, as I recall the 02 kids always been well connected with each other, using the D-terminal, the only question is why they jumped into a hugely unbalanced fight with a royal knight like alphamon without informing the rest? The answer is simply because the fight happened while they were inside the digital world, they didn’t have time to retreat or call for help.
Takeru and Hikari had their connection with them but it seems like they didn’t hear from them in long while, and at the same time the whole movie theme still treats digimon as a secret.
while on the end of 02 most kids know about digimon and pretty much most of them had a digimon and a digivice, this was still before the epilogue view
Even when takeru uses his blog it’s like a limited to the digidestineds only…on a public blog lol
The answers only raises more questions as the plot conflicts with its past and future. That’s something i noticed about the plot.
Okay we know they had a sudden fight but why would they fight such a digimon? Whats the motive behind it? The answer is rather simple, they were in the digital world doing what they usually do when they found a digimon that alphamon was chasing, they wouldn’t let him delete her so a fight took place, the 02 kids lost, I’ll explain more as we advance in this theory.
Now we all saw that new digimon and her partner which they will need a miracle to fit her into the epilogue original end, it always looked suspicious to me, like you saw the segments where it travels alone and seems to work with an unknown partner?
Wait let me refresh your memory a bit, let’s roll the movie few segments back shall we?
Our dear suspicious secret agent stated that a ‘’random force’’ was infecting digimon, they will lose control over their act and attack on site as he mentioned, now alphamon wasn’t going everywhere smashing everything on his way and killing innocent people so he wasn’t infected…Then why do people label him as the bad guy?
He had a mission, to find and destroy this digimon and any other digimon she infected:
You know why? Because she is the virus spreader, the ‘’random force’’ the secret agent was talking about, Remember, alphamon is a royal knight that obeys the orders of Yggdrasil without hesitation to remove any possible threat on digimon, let me take you back a few years, remember X-evolution movie where omnimon destroys any x-antibody digimon without any mercy, now I know it’s another universe and story, but the concept of the royal knights is still solid, they obey their leader at any cost, even if it costs deleting some digimon.
You do remember at the airport fight alphamon destroyed a kuwagamon with his hand to save garurumon, why would he do that if he was the guy who sent them or he was the ‘’bad guy’’ that wants to spread chaos?
His silence may be seen as a mystery but a royal knight on his task don’t need to explain his task to others.
I think our guys fight on the wrong side already, they now have the virus source with them as the secret agent clearly states the following line:
This is not looking good for a start, not good at all, it will cost some major conflicts inside the same group when they find out about it and they will have to choose to keep that digimon by curing herself or being destroyed, if it’s the first option they will have to fight alphamon since he won’t stop until his task is completed at any costs and this may add sense to the last fight between them, the fight between the 02 kids and alphamon has ended before anything begins on the rest of the team side so they might found that new digimon while they were in the digital world and tried to protect him and that fight happened causing the digimon to run to the real world and alphamon to defeat the 02 team and proceed his mission to find and destroy her, as a said answers raises more questions but I think it’s a bit reasonable now as the plot seems connected.
That was a tongue twister theory huh? lol
I still didn’t go over the secret agent purpose and what they plan to do, ill leave it to you to find out. You can add on to this or correct me if you feel like it, anything is welcomed!
