It's easy to criticize others, to see their faults clearly, and condemn them. We do it, most of the time, because it makes us feel morally superior, that's natural. But when it comes to criticizing ourselves, the same standard doesn't apply. Our faults are irrationally shrouded from us, and we become spotless as a lamb. The faults are so hard to face that we are compelled to deceive ourselves, and within the next second, to believe the self-deception.
