Deep Sleep An installation inspired by my experiences from India to Germany, where I began questioning my immunity towards 'violence' on a daily basis. How we gradually feel disassociated, even comforted by our exposure to daily violence, injustice, anger, grief. It's startling to think in retrospect of our collective experiences of witnessing road accidents, getting groped n still blaming the women, street fights, ppl getting killed for their food choices or for a mere opinion.... Violence itself is a definition I start to unlearn, relearn. I resort to my comforts, defend my position and shut off entirely. --------------------------------------------- Sound design was prepared with several news pieces, children crying, women screaming, heavy traffic sounds, daily train crashes and several movements carried out by public.
