I have a really hard time posting drawings that I don’t like. When I look at this drawing I see the ways that it’s amateur. But I have to remember to be proud of what I’ve done, because this drawing would’ve been far out of my each even a couple years ago. This drawing still has movement and life. It’s recognizable as who it’s supposed to be. Though it’s not perfect, I’m still so proud of this!

whenever I think of any of Emily Axford’s characters (like this one, Fig Faeth), I think of what Brennan Lee Mulligan said about her a year or so ago: “Emily loves things so hard they become real”. And I think that is more true with Fig than with any other character, because Fig was Emily’s first and she’s also a character that she ends up coming back to. So much love is in Fig & I love her too!
