Chapter 8 - Blood in the Rain, may be my favorite chapter of anything I've ever written.
I have spent the entire story up to this point making the characters and players dread this inevitable and tragic moment. Hugo and Alicia, two people who once were inseparable, forced to fight each other one last time. Neither wants this, but they cannot afford to lose everything they've fought so hard for. The price to protect those you love, is blood in the rain.
I absolutely love this scene in a way I cannot express through words. The emotional peak of my story, and the pinnacle of my writing skill. I have cried literally every time I've rewritten this scene. Perfection.
If Golden Iris ever comes out as a real playable game, I know this moment will be unforgettable.
