About Me:

Hi, I'm Heliodor (Beryl is fine as well tbh) (they/them). I write (pretty much just part 5 jjba) fic. I like other some anime and manga too though. I started this as a writing blog, but it devolved because I want to talk too much. Expect occasional fashion and music posts. Also on a mental health journey a bit currently. Sorry I almost exclusively use my tags for more talking.

The one canon birthday I don't agree with and would change is Abbacchio's. He is not an Aries. That man is a disillusioned Pisces to me, and he should have been born like a week earlier.

I feel like Araki just decided Aries = lamb = Abbacchio

So I'm Aroace but if we want to get into the weeds I've come to the conclusion that I'm very slightly Recipromantic and it surprised me that was way easier to figure out than what's going on with the Asexual part.

I debated myself whether I experience enough sexual attraction to consider myself Grey and decided the answer is nah not really. I'm definitely not Demisexual like I thought I was in high school (and this makes me laugh now). It's just confusing because I have really strong aesthetic attraction. Best fit I can come up with for now is Aegosexual and Autosexual. I will explain this if asked but decided not to just post about it outright at this time lol

I somehow didn't realize Fugo, Trish, and Giorno were all born the same year. (I say "somehow" like I don't know it's because I'm bad at math and timelines let's be real here.)

I didn't realize Narancia was born two years earlier than Fugo either but to be fair in this case I think the retcon confused me.

Narancia is 17 but canon takes place before his birthday. He would have turned 18 that year. Fugo's birthday must have already happened so he's 16. (I know he doesn't have an official birthday. I accept February 5th for him in my heart.) If Narancia is 15 when they meet Fugo is either 13 or 14 depending on whether Narancia had his birthday already or not. Which would mean at that point Fugo's still incredibly fresh off of whatever backstory you choose to accept wtf. Why did Araki do that?

The timeline is so absurdly tight. I hate it here. The more I think about it the more it drives me insane. Araki could have still made Giorno a teen and let everything have just a little more room to breathe. There was no reason to go a year younger and younger every part and realize what? That was stupid and they were getting too young because no way it would have made even a little sense if Jolyne was 14?

I know this wasn't all done personally to spite me but I feel that way.

WIP Wednesday

"Shit," Narancia muttered to himself as he scrambled onto his back to keep his eyes on Fugo. He'd let his guard down. Nobody ever hesitated to punch down on a smaller guy like Narancia, at least not in his experience. "I heard rumors that someone was looking for me. I wasn't expecting it to be you," Fugo said calmly as he rounded closer. Before Narancia could fully pull himself up into a better defensive position, Fugo was on him. He yelled so close to Narancia's face that stray spittle splashed against Narancia's cheek. "Just who the fuck are you?! Why are you looking for me? Who sent you, asshole?! I'll send your pathetic fucking corpse back to them cut so small you'll fit in ring boxes!" "Wait," Narancia gasped as Fugo's hands, the same ones that had reached out to save him, wrapped tight around his neck. "Were you faking it, you piece of shit?" Fugo hissed as he gave Narancia a little shake. The move made the back of Narancia's head kiss the ground just hard enough that he saw stars for a moment. "Were you lying so I'd help you?" "F-Fu—" Narancia's second attempt to plead his case came out even more breathless than the first. If he didn't do something soon he would die. He knew by the look in Fugo's eyes that the other boy wouldn't hesitate to kill him right then and there. This couldn't be the end.

No idea when I'll get this fic done or how long it will be yet!

I kind of want to try a posting in installments kind of fic again for something that hijacked my brain, but then if I do that I can't go back and add scenes later if I need to

It's about Narancia living with Fugo for half a year pre-canon trying to convince him to get him into Passione and becoming friends. Each month is its own section so it could easily be split into chapters. I just know I'm not good at coming back to anything in a timely manner unless I feverishly work on it all in one go and post it lol

was rewatching to refresh myself on the timeline of Narancia's backstory and I forgot Araki reconned his birthday so he goes from being a Leo to a Taurus

Why did they keep that in the anime? They literally didn't have to lol

mortified by a coping mechanism I realize I have but it would make for good fic

so it's nothing personal but turns out I can't look at proship/anti discourse for an extended period of time. like occasional posts are fine and don't bother me. I mean I've made some so that would be hypocritical. Also don't think anyone should change for me there's just stuff I can't have on my dash and hope you understand. There is something I wanted to say though.

I still think it's pretty fucked up that anyone thinks everyone should police themselves to protect them from content they don't like instead of accepting differences and not trying to invade others' curated spaces demanding to be accommodated, leading witchhunts and harassing people who do not comply. The puritanical pressure on fandom spaces is just one prong of a larger societal/cultural issue at play right now.

I just don't think it's beneficial to demonize everyone who has problems with dark themes and sexual content for any reason. It feels mean to call people's halfway steps venturing into new topics that make them uncomfortable or trying to ease others into it cowardly. The most vanilla sex scenes to you might be nothing but to somebody breaking out of insidious social conditioning the fact that they imagined that and had the courage to post it is for them groundbreaking. I don't know where anyone is in their journey of self. I can't be mad at people for being afraid on a personal level. I've been there. I AM there still sometimes. It's people who are actively harming others on a crusade to purify that are wrong.

Tldr: it's hard for me to be mad at people for being weird about sex when the culture imposed on almost everyone one way or another is weird about sex. To me it's what people do to hurt others as a result of that discomfort that is bad or wrong.
