🎮🐾🐏GoldenEarth is an indie game about finding a safe haven for creatures in a dying land, a 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 about a cute goat-like character living in 𝗠𝗢𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 (caravan) and 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 with 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦.

🎨This independent video game features 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 made by a 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁.

🌌The game's world is built so that the player can set their own goals, such as:

🇬🇧[ENG]🪐🌌GoldenEarth presented a playable demo for the first time at the @necronomi_con in Belfort!

🎮We were with @blackdoorgames and had the opportunity to have a dozen independent games tested by many visitors!! 💟

Thank you to Black Door Games, the Necronomi'con staff (very nice and warm volunteers!) and all the people who came to play the games 💜💜 Hoping to see you again at this event next year!

(Sorry for the filters on the photos, but we had a red light on the stand during the entire event and it wasn’t possible to take proper photos... 🥲)

🎮🖼️ For the very first time, we presented #GoldenEarth IRL during the "Pixel Art" event at Musée des Beaux arts in the city of #Besançon (France). The theme of this event was art in video games, among other things, so the perfect setting to present the first playable (but still very buggy) build of GoldenEarth.

It was the stand of the indie video game creation association, #Blackdoor and organized by the association #PixelBisontin and the museum (thank you to them!).

We had a lot of people, lots of compliments on the game’s graphics and we prepared for the next step: The #Necronomicon in #Belfort, a much larger event!

Among the many video games we loved and that inspired us for GoldenEarth... If we had to name only one, it would be Digimon World!🦖

This game released in 2001 in Europe. We played it on the Playstation 1! It was weird and difficult but it had such an incredible feel to it!

Digimon World inspired us to develop a central city in our game, built by the NPCs that the player will potentially "recruit" throughout their adventure.🛖🛖

We really wish to go far enough to develop an interesting community aspect!😉

We have a hard time finding names for them. Help us by giving names in comments! We’ve put some examples.🥹

The left one will do pottery and painting🎨. She will offer to personalize elements of the Balzane’s caravan! The one on the right will be in charge of carpentry and expand the mobile farm!🪚

⏩We have started implementing scripted sequences

This will be very useful to add "cinematic" scenes, for example!🎥

Balzane now has a plant that grows tetranuts in his caravan🎋. It will be an invaluable resource to help him befriend Tetramsters and care for them.🐹

⚙️On the technical side, we have completely revamped our system for contextual actions, making better use of Godot's Resources and simplifying a lot of the work on new interactables.
