golden terrace (peach flower house) full cover; art by qing meng huan tu
get a free copy of golden terrace (e. danglars, peach flower house)
as you know a year ago peach flower house closed down. a lot of people couldnt buy the novel or managed to buy only one volume. after that sites like aliexpress started selling fake copies of the fan translation claiming it was the official one. then people started reselling the volumes they managed to buy but at crazy high prices. some of these turned out to be fake copies.
a few months back seven seas announced that they had bought the license and were working on publishing the novel themselves. however as it turns out they're hiring a completely new translator and will not be using e. danglars' translation.
and since this novel never had a digital release all this means that e. danglars'/peach flower house's translation will be lost to the void and only available to a few lucky fans.
as one of those lucky fans i decided to digitize the novel for archival/preservational purposes. this includes a colored scan of the front and back cover of both volumes. its just too sad to see an amazing translation be lost forever.
i am not a lawyer and since this fandom is very repulsed by piracy i would like to direct a few words to any fan who believes i should be sued: as of now there is no way for e. danglars or peach flower house to get money from the work they made. there is literally no way to buy this novel. seven seas will be releasing a completely new translation and possibly a new cover. would you rather have this version of the novel be lost to the void?
depending on how safe or unsafe i feel i might delete this post and the links in it so download while you can.

long time no see guys! the digital version of the official translation of golden terrace as published by peach flower house is coming soon! if im lucky it'll be by the end of this week.
New Golden Terrace/Golden Stage Extra Translated!
I translated the new Golden Terrace extra released on JJWXC back in September 2025 and posted it to my wordpress (where all the other Golden Terrace extras I translated have also been moved to)!Enjoy more of Yanfu being disgustingly married~

new golden stage art for episode 7 of the audio drama produced by 续续点灯xHolyNight. uploaded to my google drive.
Don't know whether OP missed it, but the final episode (episode 8) of the audiodrama produced by 续续点灯xHolyNight was uploaded with this last artwork in March 2024!
sites are selling the fantranslation but advertising it as the official one
so... im just saying this in case you dont know. this isnt the official translation. my issue here isnt with piracy tbh, peach flower house is closing down very soon so its whatever
what i dont like is that sites are exploiting the scarcity of the novel (i believe it was sold out a long time ago) and theyre making you pay for a translation that was always free. im pretty sure they looked at one of those sites where people repost fantranslations. these screenshots are from aliexpress but it wouldnt be surprising if you see them elsewhere.
here's a side-by-side comparison:
and a reminder: im planning to scan the actual official translation and post it online once the publisher closes officially
i obviously wont charge you lol
and finally just in case you are someone who wants to have a physical copy of the fantranslation let me specify that this is the oldest translation, before chichi decided to go back and translate the first few chapters. this map belongs to the footnotes of a completely different fantranslator. i tried to find them but couldnt. anyway what im saying is this version is not the version of those epubs that chichi released a few years back. its an older translation.
you can spend money on this if you want, just know what youre buying.
I need everyone on this website to understand that HR 9495, the bill designed to strip the tax-exempt status of pro-Palestine non-profits, poses absolutely zero threat to your fanfic. Please get real
ive decided once peach flower house closes for good i will turn my physical copies of Golden Terrace Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 into pdf files and share them with everyone. im not sure many people will see this but hopefully someone does and feels good today :)
here's some additional thoughts i didnt want to clutter the first post with:
i know that in the danmei fandom theres a huge anti-piracy policy but people are already saying that golden terrace has been permanently sold out everywhere and it really breaks my heart. i dont want an amazing translation of my favorite novel to disappear forever and i most of all would hate to see new fans of the novel not have access to it.
imo both the fantranslation and the official one are amazing but they are also different in their own ways and would hate to see one just disappear forever... sorry it really breaks my heart

so the publishing house Peach Flower House (who published Golden Terrace, Little Mushoom, In The Dark and other works) has announced they will be closing, and are running a closing sale until November 30 www.peachflowerhouse.com/closing
if you've been interested in their titles, this is your last chance to grab them!

《黄金台》 Golden Terrace/Golden Stage Extras
I've been seeing a lot more people reading and getting into Golden Terrace/Stage recently, so I thought I'd share the link to my GDoc translation of the extras!
I’ve spotted some confusion about the extra chapters (known in CN as 番外)here and there, so to clarify, there are a total of nine extras as of October 2024.
This GDoc contains the translation of two Golden Terrace (Stage) extras and the special insert included with the simplified Chinese print. The first extra, 封侯 (Fenghou, translated as Sealed as Marquis), is an extra exclusive to the simplified Chinese print published by Tiandi Press, while the second, 留香 (Liuxiang, translated as Lingering Fragrance) is an extra released on Weibo by the author on the 20th of December 2023.
The jjwxc version has 3 (Menggui, Empire, Final Reunion), the English version by Peach Flower House has 5 (Menggui, Empire, Huadian, Tryst, Final Reunion), the uncensored traditional Chinese print by Jiafei Publishing House has 7 (Menggui, Empire, Huadian, Dispelling Cold, Flower Festival, Tryst, Final Reunion), while the censored, simplified Chinese print by Tiandi Press has 4 [Menggui, Huadian, Fenghou (Sealed as Marquis), and Empire].
[To clarify further, the original fan translator Chichi translated six extras (Menggui, Empire, Flower Festival, Dispelling Cold, Huadian, Final Reunion) under titles History, Everyday, Flower Festival, Dispelling Cold, Flowermark and ‘Fu Tingxin and Prince of Su’ respectively.]
hey can we talk. can we stop it with the white savior pinkwashing queer paternalism that white libs always seems to hold when talking about queer people/gender-nonconforming people from countries where gay rights isn’t a legislated reality (i.e. often developing countries/countries where the majority ethnicity is non-white).
you haven’t been on weibo, you haven’t ever been to China. you haven’t walked the streets of chengdu which is the unofficial queer capital in the country, you don’t know what slangs and jokes we use to talk about queerness.
you read whatever your war crime aiding and abetting news sources spoonfeed you because you never went out of your way to befriend Chinese people in real life, you accept whatever reality is easiest for you to stomach—that Chinese people, well, “the government and the mainstream social media” at least, are ontologically evil and are intolerant to a fault; that Chinese people are so different than you (who are so liberal and tolerant and queer and punk) that these “special few Chinese people who are queer” need YOUR approval and YOUR protection and YOUR help.
I’ve spent a good portion of my life living in China, I have family there. I have queer friends there. My parents had colleagues and friends who are officially or unofficially out at work. I met my first butch-femme lesbian couple in China. I met my first trans man uncle in China. A large part of my middle school friend group turned out to be queer and have found people who they care about and who care and protect them in turn.
I only pity your willfully ignorant way of living. you see Chinese people as a sexless monolith, you see Chinese people in any position of power as a threat to your “democracy” aka violent imperialism disguised under a neoliberal facade. give me a break.
