Chapter 20: "The storm before the still pt.3"
Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Emotional Growth | Family Healing | Relationship Development Rating: đ (Forgiveness, Personal Growth, New Beginnings)
A few days later, Jungkook found himself standing in front of his brotherâs apartment building an old but well-kept complex nestled between two cafĂ©s downtown. It had been a long time since heâd visited. Too long. The last time had ended in a misunderstanding, voices raised, doors closed.
He stared at the call button, his finger hovering for a moment before he pressed it.
The buzzer crackled. âYeah?â
âItâs me.â
A pause. Then: â...Come up.â
As the elevator creaked to a stop on the third floor, Jungkook wiped his palms against his jeans. He didnât know what to expect. Would they talk? Fight? Pretend like nothing happened?
The door was already ajar when he reached it. His brother stood inside, arms crossed but not defensive just uncertain.
âHey,â Jungkook said, trying to smile.
His brother stepped back. âCome in.â
The place smelled like fresh coffee and basil. There were unopened boxes in the corner, a new bookshelf half-assembled. It looked like life was still happening here imperfect, unfinished.
âI didnât know you moved,â Jungkook said.
âDidnât announce it,â his brother replied. âJust needed a change.â
Jungkook nodded. âI get that.â
An awkward silence settled between them, thick like fog. Jungkook took a breath. âI went home last weekend.â
His brotherâs brow lifted slightly. âReally? Howâd that go?â
âBetter than I expected. She... apologized.â
Silence.
âThatâs new,â his brother muttered, running a hand through his hair.
âYeah. I think weâre both trying. Starting from scratch.â
His brother sat on the arm of the couch, arms resting on his knees. âI used to think you had it easy, you know. That she always picked you, that you got away with more.â
âI thought you had it easier,â Jungkook said, a small laugh escaping. âYou were the golden child. The straight-A student. The responsible one.â
His brother looked at him then really looked at him. âWe were both carrying weight that wasnât ours.â
Jungkook nodded, his throat tightening. âYeah. And we never talked about it. We just... kept going.â
A pause. Then: âI didnât know how much you were hurting. I should have seen it. I shouldâve asked.â
âYou were just trying to survive too.â
They looked at each other across the room two men, once boys in the same house, now trying to rebuild something from the ashes of misunderstanding.
âIâm sorry,â his brother said finally. âFor not being there. For judging you. For assuming.â
âIâm sorry too,â Jungkook whispered. âFor shutting you out. For never trusting that youâd get it.â
They didnât hug. Not yet. But when his brother offered him a drink and sat beside him on the couch, it felt like the beginning of something that had once been broken now gently pieced back together.
That night, Jungkook came home quieter than usual. You met him at the door, instinctively reaching for his hand.
âHow was it?â you asked softly.
He leaned into you, pressing his forehead to yours. âIt was... healing. Strange. Like we were both kids again and also completely different people.â
You cupped his cheek. âYouâre doing such hard, beautiful work, Jungkook.â
He kissed you slowly, reverently. Not out of passion, but out of overwhelming emotion. When he pulled back, he said, âI think the only reason I could even try to face all of this is because I had someone to come home to.â
You smiled, running your fingers through his hair. âIâll always be your home.â
A few days later, you both took a spontaneous trip to the coast. Just a two-day escape from the city, from the emotional heaviness of the last few weeks. You rented a tiny cottage near the shoreline, where the wind was briny and fresh, and the sound of the waves filled every silence.
Jungkook loved the ocean. You noticed it in how his shoulders relaxed, in the way he walked barefoot through the wet sand like a boy again.
That evening, you built a small bonfire on the beach. He brought out his guitar, playing quietly under the pale orange sky.
You sat beside him, the fire warming your toes. âYouâve changed,â you said softly.
He glanced at you, curious. âHow so?â
âYouâre lighter. More present. Itâs like... youâre finally letting yourself feel everything, instead of just pushing through.â
He looked down at the strings, thoughtful. âI spent a long time pretending I was okay. Performing, even off stage. But you never asked me to be anything other than who I am.â
You reached for his hand. âBecause who you are is everything.â
His voice cracked slightly when he said, âI love you.â
It wasnât the first time heâd said it. But this time, it felt layeredâfull of gratitude, of unspoken apologies, of hope.
You leaned into him. âI love you too.â
The stars began to appear, one by one, like promises.
The next morning, Jungkook woke early. You found him standing outside the cottage, watching the tide roll in. When you came up behind him and wrapped your arms around his waist, he leaned back into your touch.
âI was thinking,â he said, âabout writing a song. About all of this. Everything weâve been through. What do you think?â
âI think it would be honest. And I think people would feel less alone hearing it.â
He nodded slowly. âI want to share the messy parts too. The therapy, the fights, the moments I wanted to give up. Not just the pretty reflections afterward.â
You smiled. âThatâs real. Thatâs brave.â
He turned to face you, brushing his nose against yours. âAnd I think itâs time I stop hiding.â
I'm Back
So I've been gone but trust me I'm back... I basically have been working my ass off to move out and haven't had the time to write and post. But I'm back now. I am starting school again soon and I have a schedule that will hopefully work and you'll get new chapters every week.
I'm also thinking about starting a new book bts x reader u pick the member....Would ya'll be interested in that?
Chapter 17: "The storm before the still pt.2"
Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Emotional Growth | Family Healing | Relationship Development Rating: đ (Forgiveness, Personal Growth, New Beginnings)
The following weekend, the two of you found yourselves driving down the familiar highway that led to Jungkookâs hometown. The skies were overcast, thick with gray clouds that threatened rain. The timing felt poeticâlike the weather mirrored the unease quietly building in his chest.
He hadnât been back in nearly a year. Not since before the fallout with his mom. Not since the awkward, heavy silences with his brother had begun to outnumber the moments of genuine connection.
You reached over, resting your hand on his thigh as he drove. âYou donât have to go in alone,â you said gently. âIâm right here.â
Jungkook glanced at you, his jaw tense, but nodded. âThanks. I just... I need to face it. Not the version of me that was pretending everything was fine. But the me that knows heâs allowed to be hurt. And still worthy of love.â
When you pulled into the driveway of his childhood home, the memories hit him like waves. The garden still had the old stone bench his father used to sit on when reading the paper. The garage light still flickered like it always had. He could almost hear the echoes of teenage laughter, arguments, and the creaking floorboards he used to sneak across when he stayed out too late.
He took a deep breath before stepping out of the car. You followed, standing beside him as the front door slowly opened.
His mom appeared in the doorway, her frame smaller than he remembered. Her eyes were soft, tentative. âYou made it,â she said, voice wavering.
âI did,â Jungkook replied.
âI wasnât sure if youâd really come.â
He hesitated, then said, âI almost didnât.â
That honesty seemed to land somewhere deep. His mother stepped aside, and he entered, motioning for you to come too. She smiled faintly at you. âItâs nice to see you again. I made some tea. I figured weâd... talk in the kitchen?â
The kitchen looked nearly the same, with its mismatched mugs, soft blue walls, and a clock that still ticked a second behind.
As they sat down at the table, his mom stirred her tea nervously. âIâve been trying to understand. All this time. Where things started to go wrong.â
Jungkook looked down at his hands. âIt wasnât one moment. It was a thousand little ones. When I felt like I wasnât enough. Or too much. When I started hiding parts of myself just to keep the peace.â
Her hands trembled slightly. âI didnât realize how much I made you feel that way.â
âYou wanted the best for me. I know that. But it always felt like love was conditional. That I had to be perfect to be worthy of it.â
Tears filled her eyes. âI never wanted that for you.â
âBut itâs what I felt,â he said gently, not accusing, just truthful.
You watched silently, your heart swelling at the courage he showedânot just to confront her, but to remain present through it all.
His mom reached across the table. âIâm sorry, Jungkook. For the pressure. For the silence. For not seeing you clearly when you needed me most.â
He nodded slowly. âIâm not expecting you to fix it all. I just needed you to understand.â
They sat in that quiet, painful peace for a while. Then she asked, âDo you think we can start again? Slowly?â
Jungkook looked up, and this time, his gaze held something softer. âYeah. We can try.â
Later, back in the car, Jungkook didnât speak for a while. He stared out at the passing trees, the rain finally starting to fall, light and steady.
You waited, letting him find his words.
âI used to think healing would feel like fireworks,â he said eventually. âLike one huge moment of relief. But itâs more like... walking into a room and realizing you can breathe a little easier.â
You smiled. âThat sounds like real growth to me.â
He turned toward you, his expression thoughtful. âI think I need to keep doing this. Facing things Iâve avoided. Going back so I can move forward.â
You nodded. âIâll be beside you. For every step.â
The days that followed were filled with small, meaningful changes.
Jungkook began journaling at night, something you had gently encouraged but never pushed. He called his brotherânot to resolve everything in one go, but to start a conversation. And slowly, he let his music reflect his emotions more openly. Songs he used to shelve out of fear they were âtoo rawâ became new demos on his laptop.
One night, after a long recording session at home, you found him in the living room, strumming his guitar softly. He didnât notice you at first. He was too lost in the chords, in the lyrics he whispered almost like a secret.
âI buried the boy who never cried...Now he sings under open skies. And maybe Iâm not all put togetherâBut maybe I was never meant to be tied.â
You stood in the doorway, moved beyond words.
He finally noticed you and flushed slightly. âDidnât realize you were listening.â
âThat was beautiful,â you said. âWas it about...?â
He nodded. âMe. You. My past. Everything.â
You walked over and sat beside him, your head resting on his shoulder. âYouâre not just healing, Jungkook. Youâre inspiring.â
He chuckled. âDonât say that. Iâm still a mess half the time.â
âWe all are,â you said, squeezing his hand. âBut youâre growing. And thatâs the most powerful kind of beauty.â
He kissed the top of your head, and in that moment, it felt like the storm had passed not gone forever, but faded enough to let in light.
Chapter 16: "The storm before the still"
Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Emotional Growth | Family Healing | Relationship Development Rating: đ (Forgiveness, Personal Growth, New Beginnings)
The new apartment smelled like lavender and fresh laundry. Rain tapped gently against the windows as twilight settled in, casting a bluish glow over the soft gray of the couch you and Jungkook had picked out together. The place was finally starting to feel like home ...your home. A shared closet. A toothbrush next to his. Your sweater draped over the back of his gaming chair.
And yet tonight, the atmosphere was tense.
Jungkook sat at the dining table, his back slightly hunched as he scrolled through something on his phone. His brows were furrowed, his jaw tight. You watched him from the kitchen, noting how distant he lookedâphysically here, emotionally elsewhere.
You wiped your hands on a dish towel and approached slowly. âEverything okay?â
He didnât look up. âYeah. Fine.â
But you knew that tone. You had learned to recognize the subtle shifts in his voice, the way he retreated when something stirred inside him he didnât yet have the words for.
You gently pulled out a chair beside him and sat down. âJungkook.â
He sighed and finally put his phone down, rubbing his temples. âI didnât want to bring this home. Itâs just... my brother.â
Your chest tightened. âDid something happen?â
He leaned back, his expression tired. âHeâs upset. Says Iâve changed. That I donât call as much. That Iâm too caught up in... everything. That I forgot where I came from.â
You blinked, surprised. âBut thatâs not true. Youâve been trying so hard to stay connected. Youâre healing, Jungkook. That doesnât mean youâve abandoned anyone.â
âI know that,â he muttered. âBut he makes me feel like Iâm selfish for putting myself first.â
You reached for his hand, lacing your fingers with his. âYouâre not selfish. Youâre growing. Sometimes people donât know how to love someone whoâs changing.â
He looked at you then, vulnerable. âDo you think Iâm being distant? With him? With you?â
Your grip tightened. âNo. Youâre being real. That scares people who are used to the version of you that kept everything buried.â
He nodded slowly, but the doubt lingered in his eyes.
And thatâs when you felt it. The shift. The silent space where misunderstanding could creep in if left unchecked.
You stood up and walked toward the window, crossing your arms. âJungkook, can I say something without you taking it the wrong way?â
He tensed slightly. âAlways.â
You turned back to him. âYouâve grown so much. Youâre learning to speak your truth, to set boundaries. But... I also think sometimes you retreat when things get hard. You get quiet, and Iâm not always sure how to reach you when you do that.â
He stood, pacing slowly. âI know. Itâs just... Iâve lived so long thinking silence was safer than saying the wrong thing.â
âI get that,â you said gently. âBut silence can feel like a wall. And we promised to be partners. That means letting me inâeven when itâs messy.â
He looked at you then, his expression wounded. âDo you feel shut out?â
You hesitated. âSometimes. Not all the time. But enough to notice.â
Jungkookâs shoulders dropped. He crossed the room and stood in front of you, his hands cupping your face. âI never want to make you feel alone. Not ever.â
Tears welled in your eyes. âThen donât shut down when youâre hurting. Let me in. Even if youâre afraid.â
âIâm terrified most days,â he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. âTerrified that one wrong step will ruin everything. That Iâll lose you.â
You reached up, your hands over his. âThen lean on me when you feel that way. Thatâs what love is. Not perfection. But presence.â
He pulled you into a hug, holding you tightly, as if afraid you'd slip through his fingers.
âIâm sorry,â he murmured. âFor retreating. For making you feel like I wasnât here when I am so completely here.â
You held him just as tightly. âThank you. For hearing me.â
And just like that, the tension softened.
Later that night, you lay in bed together, backs pressed together but with your fingers intertwined in the space between.
âI used to think love meant never fighting,â Jungkook said into the darkness.
You smiled softly. âI used to think that too.â
âBut now I know...â He paused. âIt means choosing each other even when itâs hard.â
You turned toward him, your nose brushing his. âEspecially when itâs hard.â
He kissed you then slow, grateful, sure.

Chapter 15: "New Beginnings"
Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Emotional Growth | Family Healing | Relationship Development Rating: đ (Forgiveness, Personal Growth, New Beginnings)
The sun had set, casting a soft blue light over the city as you and Jungkook sat on the balcony of his apartment. The sky, now a tapestry of stars, seemed to mirror the way your thoughts had been latelyâfragmented yet peaceful, as if everything was in its place, despite the chaos that had come before.
You both sat in comfortable silence, sipping your drinks, as the cool evening breeze ruffled Jungkookâs hair. His shoulders, once tense with the weight of the world, now seemed relaxed, the lines of worry slowly fading from his face. It was as if the small, simple act of reaching out to his mom had unlocked something deep inside himâsomething he hadnât realized was buried under all those layers of guilt and expectation.
His phone buzzed, the sound breaking the silence between you. Jungkook glanced at it, and you saw his fingers hover over the screen. The moment seemed to stretch for an eternity, the weight of what might come next hanging in the air.
âThatâs her,â he said quietly, as if saying the words aloud gave them weight. âShe replied.â
You turned to him, offering a soft smile. âWhatever she says, Jungkook, youâve already made a huge step. Iâm proud of you.â
He nodded, his eyes scanning the message with a mixture of hope and trepidation. His thumb moved slowly across the screen, reading each word as if trying to decipher something deeper in his momâs reply. You could feel the tension in his shoulders, the hesitation that lingered like a ghost. But you also saw something elseâan openness that hadnât been there before.
âShe says... sheâs sorry for everything. For how she treated me, for not understanding me. She says she wants to try again. That sheâs willing to work on it.â
You could see the emotions play across his faceâsurprise, relief, disbelief. He let out a slow breath, his hands trembling slightly as he set the phone down on the table in front of him.
âI didnât expect this,â he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. âI thought sheâd just... push me away again.â
You leaned in slightly, your heart aching for him. âSheâs your mom, Jungkook. Itâs not always easy for people to admit when theyâve been wrong. But it takes a lot of courage to say sheâs willing to work on it.â
He stared at the phone, as if willing it to change. âI donât know if I can trust her again. I donât know if I can go back to that place.â
You reached over and gently took his hand, offering him a sense of grounding. âYou donât have to decide everything right now. You can take your time. Start with small steps, see how it feels. You donât owe anyone an instant decision.â
He gave a small nod, his eyes still clouded with uncertainty. âI just donât want to keep feeling like Iâm stuck in the past. Like Iâm always going to be that little boy she couldnât understand.â
âYouâre not that little boy anymore, Jungkook,â you said softly, squeezing his hand. âYouâre a man. A strong, kind, incredible man. And youâve built your own life, your own identity. She has to see that. She has to see you.â
The words seemed to sink in, and you could see a shift in him like a weight was slowly lifting, piece by piece. He took a deep breath, his eyes closing for a moment as if savoring the calm that had come over him.
âIâm scared,â he admitted quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. âScared that Iâll open up and get hurt again. Scared that Iâll always feel like Iâm not good enough for her.â
You sat beside him, close enough to feel his heartbeat as it settled into a more steady rhythm. âI understand that fear, but sometimes, the risk is worth it. The possibility of healing, of moving forward itâs worth taking that first step, even if it feels scary.â
Jungkookâs fingers tightened around yours, his grip firm yet gentle. âWhat if she hurts me again?â
âI wonât let her hurt you,â you said, your voice steady and reassuring. âAnd I wonât let you hurt yourself by carrying this on your own. Weâll figure it out together.â
There was silence again, but it was a different kind of silence this time. Not one filled with uncertainty or fear, but with understanding and the slow, quiet comfort of two people sharing a moment of vulnerability.
The next few days passed in a blur of quiet anticipation. Jungkook took his time, thinking through what he wanted to say to his mom, how he wanted to approach the conversation. You could tell that he was still nervous, still unsure of how everything would unfold, but there was a new strength in him now. A quiet determination to heal, to move forward, and to finally be at peace with himself.
And then, one evening, after a particularly long day at work, Jungkook came home with a look of quiet resolve. You were sitting on the couch, scrolling through your phone when he walked in, his expression calm but serious.
âIâm going to call her,â he said, his voice steady. âI think Iâm ready.â
Your heart fluttered at his words. You stood up, moving toward him. âAre you sure? You donât have to rush this, Jungkook.â
âI know,â he replied, a small but determined smile playing at the corner of his lips. âBut I canât keep waiting forever. I need to take control of this. For me.â
You nodded, your heart swelling with pride for him. âIâm here, no matter what.â
He took a deep breath and picked up his phone, his fingers hovering over the screen before he dialed. The sound of the ringing tone seemed to stretch into eternity, each second carrying more weight than the last. But Jungkook didnât flinch. He didnât pull away. He just waited, his eyes meeting yours with a sense of quiet strength.
Finally, his mom answered, and the sound of her voice was like a floodgate opening. You could hear the hesitation in her words, but also the sincerity. The apology. And as the conversation unfolded, you could see the walls that had once surrounded Jungkook begin to crack, piece by piece.
It wasnât easy. There were still moments of silence, moments where neither of them quite knew what to say. But slowly, over the course of the conversation, Jungkook began to speak from a place of honesty. He told her how he had felt all these years, how much her expectations had hurt him, how much he had tried to prove himself only to feel like he was always falling short. He didnât hold back, and as he did, you could see the weight of years of pent-up emotion lift from his shoulders.
His mom, on the other end, didnât speak much at first. But as the conversation continued, you could hear the regret in her voice. She admitted that she had made mistakes, that she hadnât understood him the way she should have. And for the first time, Jungkook allowed himself to believe that maybe just maybe things could change.
When the conversation finally ended, Jungkook sat there for a long time, staring at the phone in his hand. His face was a mixture of exhaustion and relief, and when he looked up at you, his eyes were filled with something you hadnât seen in a long time hope.
âThat was... a lot,â he said quietly, his voice raw. âBut it felt like... like we might actually be able to start over. To fix things.â
You smiled softly, your heart swelling with pride. âIâm so proud of you, Jungkook. You were brave. You faced your fears and took that first step.â
He let out a shaky breath, running a hand through his hair. âI donât know whatâs going to happen next. But I think... I think weâll be okay. I think we can find a way forward.â
You moved to sit beside him, wrapping your arms around him in a comforting embrace. âYou donât have to have all the answers right now. You just need to take it one step at a time.â
As you sat there together, wrapped in each otherâs arms, you knew that this was a moment of true growth for Jungkook. He had taken control of his own healing, and he had done it with strength and vulnerability. And no matter what the future held, you would be right there beside him every step of the way.

Chapter 14: âA Step Toward Healingâ
Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N)Genre: Emotional Growth | Family Conflict | Relationship DevelopmentRating: đ (Healing, Family Drama, Trust)
The soft glow of the morning sun spilled through the curtains, casting a warm golden hue across the room. You were curled up in bed, nestled against Jungkookâs chest as he lightly traced patterns on your arm. It was a calm Sunday, and for the first time in weeks, you felt a sense of peace between you both. The tension that had once hung in the air like a storm cloud had begun to dissipate, leaving only the soft rhythm of your breaths in the quiet room.
Jungkook had reached out to his mom the night before, and despite the overwhelming feelings of uncertainty and fear, he had taken a leap. It wasnât much just a small message, but it was a monumental step. He had been wrestling with the weight of his familyâs expectations for so long, and this was the beginning of something different. Something better.
You could feel the relief in his touch, in the way he held you now, like he was finally letting himself feel safe again. His arms tightened around you, pulling you closer, as if he never wanted to let go. But in the quiet, there was a question lingering what would happen next? What would his mom say?
âDo you think sheâll respond today?â Jungkook murmured, his voice hushed against the side of your head.
You shifted slightly, looking up at him. His eyes were soft, but there was still a trace of uncertainty in them. His family had always been a source of tension for him, and he had never truly known where he stood with them. But he was trying. Trying to find a balance between who he was and who they wanted him to be. Trying to make peace with the past while building something new.
âI donât know,â you replied, your voice calm, âbut you did the hardest part. You reached out. And thatâs huge, Jungkook.â
He let out a long breath, his hand gently caressing your hair. âI just want her to understand. I want her to see me for who I really am, not just the person she expects me to be.â
You smiled softly, brushing your thumb along his cheek. âShe might take some time. People donât always see things clearly right away, especially when their expectations are so strong. But you canât carry their burden anymore. Youâve done your part. Now, itâs up to her to meet you halfway.â
Jungkook nodded, though his gaze remained distant. The uncertainty was still there, lingering like an uninvited guest. He didnât know if he could completely let go of the need for his momâs approval. Even after all the years of trying to live on his own terms, the desire to be accepted by her was still buried deep inside him.
âI hope she does,â he said quietly, âbecause I donât want to keep feeling like Iâm not enough. Like Iâm always falling short.â
âYouâre not falling short,â you said softly, âand you never have been. Youâre more than enough, Jungkook. I hope she sees that.â
He smiled faintly at your words, though the weight on his shoulders still lingered. He didnât say anything more, but you could feel the quiet ache in his chest. It was a pain he had carried for so long that it had almost become part of him this unshakable belief that no matter how hard he tried, he would always fall short of his familyâs expectations.
âIâm trying, Y/N,â he said after a long pause, his voice rough. âBut sometimes, I feel like Iâm losing myself in the process. Like Iâm forgetting who I really am.â
You pulled away slightly, looking him in the eyes. âYouâre not losing yourself, Jungkook. Youâre just finding a new way to be. Youâre growing. And thatâs not easy. But youâre not alone in this. Iâm right here with you.â
He gazed at you for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, slowly, he leaned in and kissed you softly, a gentle, lingering kiss that seemed to say more than words ever could. The kiss was filled with all the unspoken promises, the quiet hope that everything would be okay in the end.
As he pulled away, his eyes softened, and he let out a small sigh. âThank you. For always being here. For believing in me when I donât even know how to believe in myself.â
âYou donât have to thank me,â you replied, smiling warmly. âIâm here because I want to be. Because I believe in you. Always.â
The morning passed slowly, the two of you spending the day together in comfortable silence. Jungkook checked his phone a few times, but there was no response from his mom. He didnât seem disappointed, just resigned. He knew it would take time, but the not knowing, the waitingâit was the hardest part.
As the evening drew near, Jungkookâs phone buzzed, a notification lighting up the screen. You both froze for a second, the tension building in the air as he picked it up. His eyes scanned the screen, and for a moment, there was nothing but silence. Then, slowly, he let out a breath, his shoulders relaxing just a fraction.
âI got a message,â he said, his voice soft. âFrom Mom.â
You held your breath, waiting for him to say more. You could see the conflict on his face, the way he hesitated before opening the message. His thumb hovered over the screen for a moment before he finally pressed it, and you watched as his eyes flicked across the text.
It was short. Simple. But there was something in it that made his eyes soften.
âShe says⊠sheâs sorry. She says she didnât mean to hurt me. That she was just worried.â
Jungkookâs voice cracked slightly as he read the words. You could see the mixture of relief and sadness in his eyes. This was the moment he had been waiting for the moment when his mom finally acknowledged his pain. The moment when she finally took responsibility for the things that had been left unsaid for so long.
âShe wants to talk. To try and fix things,â he continued, his voice quieter now, almost unsure. âBut I donât know if I can go back to that place. If I can open up like that again.â
You could feel the hesitation in his words, the uncertainty that still lingered in his heart. It wasnât just about forgiveness it was about whether he could trust again, whether he could allow himself to be vulnerable in a way that he hadnât been able to before.
âI think itâs okay to be scared,â you said softly, âbut this is your chance to take control of the situation. To set boundaries. You donât have to go back to the way things were, Jungkook. But if you want to rebuild that relationship, itâs going to take time. And itâs going to take you being honest with her about how you feel.â
He nodded slowly, but there was a visible wariness in his eyes. âI donât know if Iâm ready to have that conversation. I donât know if I can open up that much.â
âYou donât have to do it all at once,â you reassured him, squeezing his hand. âStart small. Take it one step at a time. And know that no matter what happens, you donât have to face it alone. Iâm here with you.â
Jungkook turned to you then, his eyes full of gratitude and something deeper something that spoke of his quiet growth, his willingness to open himself up even more than before. He didnât have all the answers, and he wasnât sure what the future held, but for the first time, he felt like he could take that first step toward healing.
âIâm not sure what will happen next,â he said quietly, his voice filled with a mixture of fear and hope. âBut Iâm willing to try. For myself. And for us.â
You smiled softly at him, your heart swelling with love for the man he was becoming. âAnd thatâs all you can do. Just take it one day at a time.â
As you both sat together, watching the evening sky turn to dusk, you knew this wasnât the end. It was just the beginning of something new. Jungkook had taken a leap of faith by reaching out to his mom, and while it wasnât going to be easy, it was a step toward healing. And as long as he had you by his side, you knew he would find the strength to face whatever came next.

Part 13: âThe Weight of Expectationsâ
Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Emotional Growth | Family Struggles | Trust & Communication Rating: đ (Vulnerability, Family Dynamics, Relationship Growth)
The rain had finally stopped, leaving the world outside fresh and calm. You and Jungkook were sitting on the couch, a warm cup of coffee in hand, looking out at the early evening sky as the sun began to set. The golden light filtered through the window, bathing the room in a soft, peaceful glow. Despite the tranquility, there was a lingering heaviness in the air one that neither of you could quite shake.
Jungkook had made progress since that conversation with his brother. He had sent his mom a message, and though it wasnât easy, it was a step forward. He hadnât spoken much about it since, but you could tell it was still weighing on him. He had always been the kind of person to internalize his struggles, trying to handle everything on his own. But now, there was a change in him a quiet sense of vulnerability that made your heart ache with empathy for him.
âDo you think things will ever really change between me and them?â Jungkook asked, breaking the silence. His voice was low, contemplative. He wasnât talking to anyone in particular just to the room, to the weight of everything on his shoulders.
You turned to him, setting your coffee aside. His eyes were distant, his expression unreadable. You could see the familiar tension in his jaw, the furrowed brows. You knew that he was still wrestling with the expectations of his family, especially his mom, who had always had a vision for his future that didnât match his own dreams.
âI think itâs going to take time,â you said softly, moving to sit next to him. âItâs not something that can be fixed overnight. But you donât have to carry it alone, Jungkook.â
He didnât look at you, his gaze fixed on the horizon outside. âI donât even know how to fix it. Every time I try, it feels like I just make things worse. Like Iâll never be the person they want me to be.â
Your heart twisted at his words. You had seen the pain in his eyes when he spoke about his family, the way he felt like he was constantly falling short. But you also saw the person he truly was the kind, determined, and talented man who had built his life on his own terms. You knew that if anyone could overcome the weight of their expectations, it was him. But that didnât mean it would be easy.
âYou donât have to be who they want you to be,â you said, your voice firm yet gentle. âYou just need to be yourself. And if they canât accept that, then thatâs on them, not you.â
Jungkook turned to you then, his eyes searching yours for something maybe reassurance, maybe understanding. âBut what if they never accept it? What if they never see me for who I really am? Iâve tried so hard, Y/N. I donât know what else to do.â
You reached out and gently placed your hand over his, feeling the warmth of his skin against yours. âYouâve already done so much. Youâve worked hard to get to where you are, Jungkook. And youâve done it on your own. That takes strength.â
He shook his head, his fingers tightening around yours. âItâs not enough. No matter what I do, itâs never enough for her. For them. Itâs like Iâm always running in circles, trying to prove myself.â
âYou donât have to prove yourself to anyone,â you said softly, your voice full of conviction. âEspecially not to someone who doesnât see your worth. You already have people who love and support you. People who see you for who you are and appreciate you for it.â
Jungkookâs gaze softened as he looked at you, his lips curving into a small, bittersweet smile. âYou always know the right thing to say.â
You shrugged lightly, offering him a playful smile. âI try. But I just want you to see how amazing you are. How much youâve accomplished on your own. Youâve built your career, youâve created something meaningful out of your passion. Thatâs not something anyone can take away from you.â
His eyes met yours, and for a moment, there was silence. A silence that spoke volumes. The kind of silence that carried all the things you werenât saying, all the feelings you hadnât yet found the right words for.
Jungkook let out a slow breath, his shoulders sagging slightly. âI donât know if Iâll ever be able to make peace with it. I donât know if Iâll ever feel like Iâm enough for them.â
You took his hand in both of yours, holding it gently. âYou donât need to make peace with it for anyone else, Jungkook. You just need to make peace with it for yourself. And thatâs what matters most.â
He looked at you, his expression softening even further. There was a deep sadness in his eyes, but there was also a glimmer of something else hope, maybe? He wasnât sure yet, but he was starting to believe that things could change. That he could change.
âIâm scared,â he admitted quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. âScared that no matter what I do, it wonât ever be enough. That Iâll never live up to their expectations.â
You gently cupped his face, bringing him closer to you, your forehead resting against his. âIt is enough. You are enough, Jungkook. And you donât have to carry their expectations anymore. You have the power to choose your own path.â
His eyes closed for a moment, and you could feel the tension slowly leave his body, replaced by a sense of relief. It wasnât a complete resolution, but it was a step toward healing. Toward letting go of the weight heâd been carrying for so long.
For a while, the two of you just sat there, letting the silence envelop you. It wasnât uncomfortable, but it was filled with the kind of understanding that only came from truly being there for each other.
After a long while, Jungkook spoke again, his voice softer, calmer than before. âIâve been thinking a lot about what you said. About being myself. And maybe⊠maybe Iâm ready to stop trying to be who they want me to be.â
You smiled, gently running your thumb along his cheek. âThatâs all I want, Jungkook. I want you to be free. To be happy.â
His gaze softened, and for the first time in a long while, there was a sense of peace in his eyes. âI donât know what the future holds. I donât know if things will ever be perfect with my family, but⊠Iâm willing to try. For myself. And for you.â
Your heart skipped a beat at his words. There was a strength in them, a vulnerability that spoke of the growth he was undergoing. It was messy, it was painful, but it was real. And thatâs all you ever wanted for him to see himself the way you saw him: whole, worthy, and more than enough.
âIâll be right here,â you said, your voice steady. âNo matter what. Iâm not going anywhere.â
Jungkook smiled softly, his hand reaching for yours as he squeezed it gently. âThank you. For everything. For always being here.â
You leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. The kiss was soft and sweet, a promise that no matter how difficult things got, youâd face them together. No walls, no barriers. Just the two of you, figuring things out as you went along.
Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the world outside began to darken, Jungkook reached out to his mom. It wasnât a long message, but it was the first step in what would be a difficult but necessary conversation. He didnât expect things to change overnight, but for the first time, he felt like he could take that step without fear of rejection.
You sat next to him, your hand resting on his knee as he typed the message. He looked up at you briefly, offering a small smile before returning his focus to the screen. There was something different in his expression now a sense of calm that had eluded him for so long.
âI donât know how sheâll respond,â he said quietly, his voice almost a whisper. âBut Iâm ready to find out.â
You nodded, squeezing his knee gently. âWhatever happens, youâve already taken a huge step. Iâm proud of you.â
Jungkook smiled at you, the weight of the world still heavy on his shoulders, but the strength to carry it now within reach. Together, you would face whatever came next.

Chapter 12: âThe Test of Trustâ
Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Emotional Growth | Relationship Development | Trust and Challenges Rating: đ (Vulnerability, Trust, Relationship Growth)
The days after your heart-to-heart conversation with Jungkook had been a whirlwind of comfort and closeness. The vulnerability he had shown you had been a turning point for both of youâa moment where you truly saw each other without the masks, without the barriers. But even in the most perfect moments, life had a way of testing the strength of those connections.
Jungkookâs new openness didnât just bring the warmth and affection youâd both been cravingâit also brought a deeper, unspoken sense of responsibility. With it, came a new layer of fear, too. His heart was still a delicate thing, one that you wanted to protect at all costs. And you knew that your relationship, while growing, was still fragile in places.
The day started like any other. You both had slept in a little, your bodies tangled in the comfort of soft sheets and the warmth of each other. It was a lazy Sunday, and you had no plans except to enjoy each otherâs company. The rain had returned, falling gently against the window, as you both lay in bed, scrolling through your phones lazily.
But then, the phone call came.
It was from Jungkookâs older brother, Jin. The sound of his voice on the other end was familiar, but today, it carried a sharpness to it that immediately made you sit up in bed.
âHey, man. You good?â Jin asked, his voice unusually serious.
Jungkookâs brows furrowed, glancing at you as you sat up, feeling the change in energy. âYeah, Iâm good. Whatâs up?â
You could hear Jin sighing through the phone, a long, drawn-out breath. âI just got off the phone with Mom. She said you havenât been answering her texts or calls.â
Jungkookâs face shifted, and you could feel his tension rising, his fingers gripping the edge of the blanket. âIâve been busy, Jin. You know how it is.â
âI get that,â Jin replied, but his voice was laced with concern. âBut you canât just shut everyone out, especially her. Sheâs been asking about you, Jungkook. Sheâs worried.â
Jungkookâs jaw clenched as he stared at the phone screen. âIâm not a kid anymore. I donât need to answer to anyone.â
You could feel the shift in the atmosphere as Jungkookâs frustration grew. This was more than just a casual disagreement. His family had always been a point of tension for him, and you had seen the way he struggled with his relationship with them. You wanted to say something, to reach out, but you knew he needed space to process.
âI get it,â Jin continued, softer now. âBut you canât keep running from things, bro. You know that.â
Before Jungkook could respond, Jin hung up. The tension in the air was thick, and you could feel it settling over the room like a storm cloud. You looked at him, but he wouldnât meet your gaze. His knuckles were white as he gripped the phone tightly.
âDo you want to talk about it?â you asked gently, your voice calm, but full of concern.
Jungkook let out a sharp breath, his body stiff as he pushed the phone aside. âI donât know what to say.â
You moved closer to him, your hand gently resting on his, urging him to open up. âJungkook, you donât have to go through this alone.â
He looked at you, his eyes filled with frustration, but beneath it, there was something elseâsomething deeper. âI just donât know how to fix it. I donât know how to be the son she wants me to be. I donât know how to be the person everyone expects me to be.â
You swallowed, your heart aching for him. You knew that his family had never been easy on him. His relationship with his parents had always been strained, especially after he decided to pursue music instead of a more conventional career. It wasnât that they didnât love him, but they had their own expectations that didnât align with Jungkookâs dreams.
âI know itâs hard,â you said softly, âbut youâre not alone. You donât have to carry everything on your own.â
He shook his head, standing up and pacing the room. âYou donât get it. Itâs not just about me. Itâs about herâabout how Iâve never been enough for her, no matter what I do. Itâs like Iâm always falling short.â
You felt the weight of his words in your chest, the pain he was carrying from years of unmet expectations and frustration. It wasnât just a small family issue. It was something deeper, something that had been festering for years. And you knew that this wasnât a problem that could be solved overnight.
You stood up and walked toward him, gently placing a hand on his shoulder, grounding him. âJungkook, I get it more than you think. I canât pretend to know what itâs like to carry that kind of burden, but I can promise you this: You donât have to prove anything to anyone. Especially not to your mom.â
He turned to face you, his expression softer now, though still filled with uncertainty. âBut what if Iâm not good enough for her?â
You took a deep breath, holding his gaze. âWhat if youâre already enough, just as you are? Youâre enough for me. Youâre enough for the people who really matter. You donât have to change to be loved, Jungkook. You already are.â
For a long moment, there was silence between you, the only sound the soft hum of the rain outside. Then, Jungkookâs eyes softened, and his lips parted as if he wanted to say something, but the words never came.
Instead, he pulled you into a hug, tight and desperate, as if he were holding on to the only thing in his life that felt steady. You wrapped your arms around him, feeling his breath against your shoulder, feeling the weight of his emotions that he had kept hidden for so long.
âI donât know how to fix it,â he murmured into your ear. âI donât know how to make it right.â
âYou donât have to fix everything right away,â you whispered back. âYou just have to take it one step at a time. Iâm here for you, okay? Weâll figure it out together.â
Jungkook nodded against your shoulder, his body still trembling with the rawness of the moment. âThank you,â he said softly, his voice thick with emotion. âI donât deserve you.â
You pulled back slightly to look him in the eyes, giving him a reassuring smile. âYou deserve everything good, Jungkook. Donât ever doubt that.â
He looked at you for a long moment, his face a mixture of gratitude and vulnerability. âIâm trying. I really am.â
You kissed him gently on the lips, a quiet promise that no matter what happened, you would always be there for him. He may have been struggling with his family, with himself, but he didnât have to go through it alone. You would help him carry the weight of it, even when it felt like it was too much.
The next few days were filled with tension, but also with moments of connection. Jungkook made an effort to reach out to his mom, even though it was hard for him. He sent her a simple message, letting her know that he was thinking of her, that he hadnât meant to shut her out. It wasnât much, but it was a start. And for the first time in a long while, you saw a flicker of hope in his eyes.
It wasnât easy, and there were still moments where the weight of his past threatened to pull him back into old patterns. But he was trying, and that was all you could ask for.
You knew that this was just one chapter in a much larger story. There would be more difficult conversations, more moments of doubt and uncertainty. But as long as you were together, you knew that you could face whatever came your way.
As the days passed, the connection between you and Jungkook deepened, and though the challenges remained, you both felt a little stronger. Because sometimes, the most important thing wasnât fixing everything all at once. It was learning to trust, to open up, and to take things one step at a time.
And in those small moments of vulnerability, you realized that what you had was worth every struggle, every challenge.
Two parts today cause why not.... Thank you to all of you that have read/viewed this series.

The rain had long stopped, leaving the world outside quieter than it had been all day. The fairy lights inside the blanket fort twinkled softly, casting a warm glow over your faces as you and Jungkook sat close, surrounded by the cocoon of blankets and cushions. You were wrapped in his arms, his presence like a steady anchor, a calming force you never wanted to let go of.
You were content, just being in this moment with him. The world outside might be chaotic, but here in this little fort, you felt safe. No distractions, no expectationsâjust you and him. But you could sense that there was more Jungkook wanted to say, something deeper than the surface-level jokes and playful banter youâd shared so far.
His thumb traced slow circles on your arm, and you looked up at him. His eyes were soft, distant for a moment, like he was gathering his thoughts before saying something important.
âHey,â you murmured, your voice quiet in the cozy atmosphere. âWhatâs on your mind?â
He hesitated for a second, and you could see the internal battle playing out behind his eyes. You didnât want to push him, but you also knew Jungkook well enough by now to understand when he needed to talk.
He let out a slow breath and looked down at his hands, his fingers still playing with the edges of your sweater. âIâve just been thinking a lot lately,â he began, his voice quieter than usual. âAbout everything. About us.â
You tilted your head, trying to meet his gaze. âWhat about us?â
He chewed on his bottom lip for a moment before finally speaking, his eyes meeting yours, raw and unguarded. âI donât know if Iâve ever really let myself believe that something like this could be real. A relationship like this. A realconnection. Itâs always been easier for me to keep things light, you know? Keep people at armâs length so I donât get hurt.â
You watched him carefully, feeling a tightness in your chest at his vulnerability. He was sharing something with you that he hadnât with anyone else, and you could feel the weight of it in the air between you.
âI get that,â you said softly. âItâs easy to keep things casual, to avoid getting too close to anyone. But, Jungkook⊠you donât have to do that with me.â
His smile was small, a bit sad. âI know. But I guess Iâve always been scared. Iâve seen what happens when people get too close, when they let their guard down. Things get messy. People get hurt. And I donât want to be the one who causes that.â
You reached up, cupping his face gently with your hand. âIâm not going anywhere. Iâm not afraid of getting hurt. I trust you, Jungkook.â
His eyes softened, his breath hitching for a moment before he continued. âI donât know how to do this. How to be the kind of person who lets someone in. Who lets them see the real me. Itâs like Iâve built all these walls, and now I donât know how to let them down.â
You smiled, your thumb gently brushing over his cheek. âYou donât have to have it all figured out. We can figure it out together.â
Jungkookâs eyes were glassy now, the vulnerability in them more evident than ever. He closed his eyes for a moment, like he was gathering the strength to say something heâd kept hidden for a long time.
âIâve always been afraid of not being good enough. For anyone. Not just in relationships, but in everything. My career, my family, my friendships... Iâve always felt like Iâm not enough.â His voice cracked slightly, and you could feel the heaviness in his words. âIâve never been good enough for the people who mattered to me.â
You squeezed his hand, your heart breaking for him. âYou donât have to be perfect, Jungkook. Youâre enough. Just as you are.â
He opened his eyes, looking at you with a mixture of hope and uncertainty. âDo you really think that? That Iâm enough?â
âMore than enough,â you whispered, leaning in to kiss him gently, your lips lingering against his. When you pulled away, you saw the weight in his eyes start to lift, just a little. âYou donât need to prove anything to me. Iâm here because I want to be. Because I care about you.â
Jungkookâs shoulders relaxed, the tension slowly leaving his body. He took a deep breath, the relief palpable in the way he exhaled.
âThank you,â he said softly, his hand brushing through your hair, his touch gentle. âIâve never been able to say that to anyone before. That Iâm not perfect. That Iâve got so many flaws. But with you⊠I feel like I can be me. Just me.â
You smiled at him, your heart swelling with affection. âThatâs all I want, Jungkook. I just want the real you. No masks, no walls. Just you.â
He leaned his forehead against yours, his voice barely above a whisper. âI think Iâm starting to believe that. That I can be real with you. That I donât have to hide.â
You both sat there in the soft glow of the fairy lights, the world outside forgotten, lost in the quiet comfort of each otherâs presence. It was in these momentsâwhen the silence was full of meaning, when words were exchanged that felt like tiny pieces of your soul being sharedâthat you realized just how much you had come to mean to each other.
âIâm not saying itâs going to be easy,â Jungkook continued, his voice steady now. âBut Iâm willing to try. For us. I want to be the person you deserve.â
You smiled softly, your heart racing in your chest. âYou already are. Iâm proud of you, Jungkook. For opening up to me.â
His eyes softened, and for a moment, the playful, confident Jungkook was replaced with someone a little more vulnerable, a little more human. It was the side of him that only you had seenâthe side that made your heart ache with love for him.
âYouâve always made me feel safe,â he said quietly. âSafe enough to be myself.â
You cupped his face again, gently guiding him in for another kiss. This time, it was deeper, more tenderâfull of all the things left unsaid, the promises you were both making to each other without needing to speak them out loud.
Later that night, as you both lay side by side in the fort, the glow of the fairy lights casting soft shadows across your faces, you knew that something had changed between you. The walls that had once separated you were no longer there. Jungkook had opened up to you, allowing himself to be vulnerable, and in return, you had given him the safety to be himself without fear.
You ran your fingers through his hair, tracing the familiar contours of his face. âYouâre going to be okay, Jungkook. Weâre going to be okay.â
He smiled softly, closing his eyes as he rested his head on your chest. âYeah, I think so.â
The world outside was quiet now, the rain gone, but the feeling of peace remained. And for the first time, you felt like you were exactly where you were meant to be.

Part 10: âRevelations in the Rainâ Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Fluff | Domesticity | Emotional Depth | Intimate Conversations Rating: đ (Softness, deep conversations, emotional connection)
The sky outside was a painting of muted grays and soft pastel hues, the remnants of the rainclouds lingering but slowly fading. It was the perfect afternoon to stay in, and you were more than happy to let the world outside be as distant as it could be. With Jungkook beside you, the idea of going anywhere or doing anything else felt unnecessary. The stillness was comforting, and you were happy to sink into it with him.
He had his arm around you, pulling you close as you sat against the mountain of pillows, your feet tucked under the blanket. The silence between you wasnât awkward; it was comfortable, like an unspoken understanding between two people who had spent enough time together to know that being together didnât always require words.
But Jungkook had never been shy about sharing his thoughts when they came to him. And today, it seemed like he had something on his mind.
âYou know,â he began, his voice low, âI donât think I ever really understood what it meant to feel at home... until I met you.â
You turned your head to look at him, your heart skipping a beat at the softness in his eyes. He was staring out the window, but there was something vulnerable in the way his words hung in the air.
You leaned in closer, your voice quiet. âWhat do you mean?â
Jungkook let out a slow breath, his fingers gently brushing against your arm as he spoke. âIâve always been fine on my own. Iâve had friends, people I care about, butâŠâ He paused, his gaze dropping to your hands, entwined together under the blanket. âItâs different now. Itâs like everything is better when Iâm with you. More... alive, I guess.â
You smiled softly, feeling your heart swell at his words. His openness always made you feel safe, like there was no fear of rejection, no walls between the two of you.
âJungkookâŠâ you murmured, but he cut you off before you could say more.
âItâs not just that Iâm happy when Iâm with you,â he continued, his voice softer now. âItâs that, when Iâm with you, I feel like Iâve found something that I didnât even know I was missing. A sense of... peace. I donât have to keep up a front anymore. I can just be myself.â
Your heart ached at his honesty. You could see the weight of those words in his eyesâhe wasnât just speaking about physical comfort, but about something deeper. The kind of connection that went beyond the surface.
âIâve always felt like I had to keep my guard up around people,â Jungkook said, almost to himself. âBut with you⊠itâs different. Iâm not afraid of being vulnerable. Not with you.â
You felt a rush of warmth fill your chest at his confession. You hadnât expected this kind of openness, especially not on a lazy rainy day when things had felt so simple and easy. But there it wasâJungkook letting down his walls, showing you a side of himself that was as raw as it was beautiful.
You kissed his cheek softly, a quiet gesture that spoke volumes. âYou donât have to be afraid with me. Iâm here. Iâm not going anywhere.â
He smiled then, a real smile that lit up his face. âI know. Thatâs what makes it all so easy.â
There was a brief pause, a quiet moment where you both just held each other in the stillness of the room. The world outside could have disappeared, and you would have been content, just wrapped up in each other.
After a few moments, Jungkook spoke again, his voice a little lighter, but there was still something sincere in his tone.
âI think thatâs why Iâve been so messed up before,â he said with a soft chuckle. âBecause I never let myself feel at home with anyone. I thought I had to be this... perfect version of myself. But now I get it. I just want to be with someone who makes me feel safe. Someone who doesnât make me question myself.â
You felt his words settle into your bones, the weight of them sinking in. Jungkook had always been so confident, so full of life, and yet here he was, letting you see a side of him that few people ever had the privilege of witnessing.
âWell,â you said, your voice playful but full of affection, âif you want someone who makes you feel safe... Iâm pretty good at that.â
Jungkookâs lips curled into a smile, the tension in his body easing. âYouâre more than good at it,â he murmured, leaning down to kiss you gently.
The kiss was soft, a contrast to the fiery passion youâd shared earlier, but it was still full of meaning. It was a kiss of reassurance, of promises spoken without words. A kiss that told you that everything youâd both been through every struggle, every doubt was worth it for moments like this. Moments when the world could fall away, and it was just the two of you, together.
Later that afternoon, after a lazy cuddle session, you both decided to get up. The room was still warm from the blanket fort of comfort youâd created, but the rain had slowed to a gentle drizzle. The sun was beginning to peek out from behind the clouds, casting a soft golden light across the room.
Jungkook stretched and yawned, then pulled you toward the edge of the bed. âCome on, letâs do something fun. We canât waste this whole rainy day just lying around.â
You raised an eyebrow. âSays the guy whoâs spent the last few hours lying around with me.â
He grinned, letting out a laugh. âTrue. But now, Iâm thinking we should make the most of it. Iâve got a crazy idea.â
You sat up, intrigued. âWhat kind of crazy idea?â
His eyes sparkled with mischief. âLetâs make a fort. Like when we were kids.â
âA fort?â you laughed, shaking your head. âAre we really doing this?â
âWe are,â Jungkook said with determination, standing up and pulling the blanket off the bed. âWeâre going full-on childish today. Iâll build the fort, and you bring the snacks.â
And so, an hour later, you found yourself sitting cross-legged on the floor of a blanket fort that was far more impressive than youâd ever expected. Jungkook had turned the living room into a cozy havenâblankets draped over chairs, cushions stacked up, and fairy lights twinkling softly in the dim room.
You handed him a plate of cookies and some chips, and he set them down beside you, grinning. âPerfect. Now we just need to snuggle.â
You both crawled into the fort, the space snug and intimate. Jungkook pulled the blankets tightly around you, and you both snuggled close, surrounded by the warm glow of fairy lights and the sound of the rain outside.
For a moment, you both just sat there, savoring the quiet comfort of the fort, the simplicity of the moment. No pressure, no expectations just the two of you, wrapped up in a cocoon of warmth and happiness.
As the night settled in, you both lay there in the fort, the outside world still hidden behind the rain and fog. It felt like time had slowed down, and in this little space youâd created, it was as if nothing else mattered.
âYou were right,â you whispered, eyes heavy with contentment. âThis is perfect.â
Jungkook smiled, his fingers brushing gently against your cheek. âTold you,â he murmured. âPerfect.â
You smiled back, heart full, feeling at peace in a way that you never had before. No more questioning, no more doubts just love. A love that felt real and lasting, like the rain outside that kept falling, steady and unending.
In that moment, you knew: this was home.

The sunlight peeked through the sheer curtains, casting soft gold lines across your bare back.
You blinked awake slowly, body still buzzing from last night. Muscles sore. Throat a little dry. And Jungkookâs arm wrapped around your waist, his body warm against yours.
âMmmâŠâ he mumbled sleepily into your shoulder. âStay right here.â
You smiled, pressing back into him. âWasnât planning on moving.â
His voice was gravelly with sleep. âGood. âCause I used all your energy last night anyway.â
You smacked his thigh lightly without turning around. âCocky again.â
He chuckled against your skin. âConfident. And correct.â
He rolled over and pulled you on top of him, fingers drawing soft patterns on the curve of your spine. âYou feel good like this.â
You rested your chin on his chest. âYouâre warm.â
He kissed your forehead. âYouâre perfect.â
You sighed, happy and full in a way you hadnât known you could feel.
Then he said softly, âI could wake up to this forever.â
You froze just a little, heart skipping.
He noticed.
âI mean,â he backtracked slightly, âIâm not proposing. Yet. But just⊠mornings like this? With you? They feel right.â
You stared at him for a beat, then leaned down and kissed him slowly.
âYeah,â you whispered. âThey do.â
Twenty minutes later, you were curled in the massive bed in matching hotel robesâJungkookâs hair messy, yours barely combedâeating pancakes, strawberries, and sipping coffee like you hadnât been up all night turning that same bed into a crime scene.
He watched you bite into a strawberry, grinning.
âWhat?â
âYou have whipped cream on your lip,â he said, setting down his mug.
You went to wipe it but he grabbed your wrist, leaned in, and kissed it off instead. Slowly. Way too slowly for someone who called it breakfast.
You laughed. âIs that how weâre doing mornings now?â
He leaned back, smirk lazy. âGet used to it.â
Then he fed you a forkful of pancakes, kissed your shoulder, and tucked his legs under yours like this was just a normal Saturday.
And maybe⊠it was.
A new kind of normal.
The us kind.

It started with a text.
JK: âPack a bag. No questions. Dress comfy. Be ready at 4.â
You: đ«ą
You were suspiciousâbut also excited. Jungkook loved surprises, and when he got that mischievous smirk, you knew it meant dangerously good things.
At exactly 4:00 PM, he pulled up in a sleek black car, leaned across the center console, and kissed you slow like he hadnât seen you in weeks.
"You look cute when you obey instructions,â he grinned, slapping your thigh gently. âLetâs go."
An hour later, you were stepping into the presidential suite of a five-star hotel. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a skyline view, champagne chilling on ice, and a bed so massive it could host a whole damn K-drama cast.
You turned to Jungkook, speechless.
He just shrugged, grinning. âYouâve been stressed. Thought you deserved to disappear for a weekend.â
You smiled, heart pounding. âDisappearing with you sounds dangerous.â
He stalked toward you, voice low. âThatâs the point.â
It didnât take long before your clothes started hitting the floor. One by one. Trail of fabric leading from the balcony to the bed.
Jungkook had you pinned beneath him, his lips dragging down your neck as you gasped his name like a prayer.
"Say it again," he growled into your skin.
âJungkook,â you moaned, hips bucking up to meet his.
He smirked. âThatâs my girl.â
He took his time.
Worshipped you like he had nowhere else to be.
Mouth between your thighs, hands gripping your hips like they were his to claimâand they were. Tongue circling slow, teasing, until your legs shook and your fingers clawed at the sheets.
âCome for me,â he whispered, voice rough. âLet the whole damn floor hear who you belong to.â
You shattered.
And he didnât stop.
Hours later, the city glittered beneath the window while you lay tangled in the sheets, chest still rising and falling, his fingers absentmindedly drawing shapes on your bare stomach.
âThat wasâŠâ you mumbled.
âA religious experience?â he smirked.
You laughed, slapping his chest lightly. âCocky.â
âConfident,â he corrected. Then he pulled you close, brushing his lips against your forehead. âI meant it, though. You deserve everything.â
You blinked up at him. âEven a $1,200 hotel suite?â
âEspecially that,â he said, tucking your hair behind your ear. âBecause youâre not just someone I sneak around with anymore. Youâre mine. In every way.â
Your heart melted. He made you feel so wanted⊠not just physically, but deeply.
Fully.
Wholly.
And youâd never felt safer than wrapped up in him, in that suite, in that moment.

Part 7: âTrouble at the Tableâ Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Angst | Drama | Jealous Ex | Protective Jungkook Rating: đ (Mature themes, emotional tension, language)
You and Jungkook had finally started living without the shadows.
Your brother was cooling off, things were feeling realâlike actual couple real. Dates that didnât involve hiding. Touches that didnât have to stop when someone walked into the room. You could breathe.
Which is why tonight, you were glowing.
A rooftop bar. City lights below. Jungkookâs hand on your thigh. His other hand holding your waist as you laughed into his neck.
Thatâs when she showed up.
Lena.
Tall. Stunning. That kind of confidence that came with knowing people watched her when she walked into a room.
Jungkookâs ex.
And judging by the look on her face when she spotted the two of youâshe hadnât just happened to be there.
âWow,â she said, walking straight up to your table like she belonged. âDidnât expect to see you here.â
Jungkook stiffened instantly. âLena.â
You blinked. So this was her.
She turned to you, eyes raking over your outfit like she was sizing you up. âAnd you must be the reason Jungkook stopped replying to my messages.â
You raised a brow. âDidnât realize exes kept that kind of access.â
She smirked, eyes cold. âWe had unfinished business.â
You opened your mouth, but Jungkook spoke first.
âThereâs nothing unfinished,â he said flatly. âYou and I? That ended a long time ago.â
She leaned on the table, ignoring his words completely. âYou remember that party in Itaewon? You said Iâd always be your favorite.â
Jungkookâs jaw flexed. âI was drunk. And dumb. And I didnât know what love actually was back then.â
That shut her up for half a second. Then her eyes flicked to you again.
âShe doesnât look like your type, you know.â
âOh?â you smiled sweetly, leaning forward. âFunny, he doesnât scream regret when heâs inside me.â
Jungkook choked on his drink. Lenaâs expression cracked.
âOkay,â Jungkook stood, sliding his hand around your waist. âWeâre done here.â
âJungkookââ
âNo,â he said, voice low. Dead serious. âYou donât get to waltz in here and talk to her like that. You lost the right to even say my name when you cheated on me.â
That stunned you.
Lenaâs face paled, but she scoffed like it was no big deal. âYou always were dramatic.â
âLeave,â he said. âBefore I make it messy.â
Lena glared at both of you, then flipped her hair and walked off, heels clicking like thunder behind her.
You exhaled the breath you didnât realize you were holding.
âOkay,â you said. âSheâs awful.â
Jungkook sat back down, pulling you into his lap now. âSheâs also very gone. Forever.â
You rested your head against his shoulder. âDidnât know she cheated on you.â
âDoesnât matter,â he said softly, kissing the top of your head. âShe never really knew me. You do.â
You leaned back to meet his eyes. âYou really mean that?â
âI meant it the first time I kissed you,â he whispered. âYouâre not just someone I love, Y/N. Youâre my peace.â
Your heart melted. Right there on a rooftop, under the stars, with chaos behind you and Jungkook in front of youâeverything finally felt right.

Part 6: âMan to Manâ Pairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N) Genre: Angst | Healing | Brotherâs Best Friend | Secret Romance Revealed Rating: đ (Mature themes, light swearing, emotional tension)
Jungkook had been pacing the floor for the past twenty minutes.
You sat on the edge of the couch, watching him with nerves tangled in your stomach.
âAre you sure about this?â you asked softly.
He stopped and looked at you, eyes dark but steady. âI need to do this. I owe it to him.â
You swallowed. âJust⊠please donât fight. Heâs still my brother.â
âI know,â Jungkook said. âAnd heâs still my best friend. Or⊠was.â
That last word hit harder than either of you expected.
Your brother agreed to meet Jungkook outside a small park near his apartment. Neutral ground.
You didnât go. This was their moment.
Jungkook waited by a bench, hands stuffed in his hoodie pocket, heart in his throat. When your brother finally showed, his expression was unreadable.
They stood in silence for a second. The wind picked up.
âWhy are you here?â your brother asked flatly.
Jungkook took a breath. âTo say what I shouldâve said before all this blew up.â
Your brother crossed his arms. âIâm listening.â
Jungkook nodded. âI didnât plan for this. Falling for her. It just⊠happened. And yeah, I know that sounds like a lame excuse. But I swear, I tried to ignore it.â
Your brotherâs jaw tightened. âAnd then you just decided screw it, and started sleeping with her behind my back?â
âItâs not like that,â Jungkook said quickly. âIt started physical, yeah. But it became so much more. I love her, man. I didnât want to keep it from youâI was just scared Iâd lose everything.â
Your brotherâs voice cracked. âYou were supposed to be my brother, too. You couldâve come to me.â
âI know,â Jungkook said. âAnd thatâs on me. I messed up. But Iâm not walking away from her. Iâd rather lose you than lie about loving her.â
Silence.
The kind of silence that hurt.
Your brother ran a hand through his hair, like he was trying to process too many emotions at once.
âYou really love her?â
âWith everything I have.â
âAnd this isnât some phase? Youâre not just in it for the thrill?â
âI already asked her to be mine,â Jungkook said. âNot in secret. Not in hiding. For real.â
Your brother exhaled. His shoulders finally slumped.
âIâm still pissed,â he admitted. âIâm not okay with how it happened. ButâŠâ
He looked away.
âSheâs been happy. I havenât seen her smile like that in a while.â
Jungkook's chest tightened. âSheâs everything to me.â
Your brother looked back at him. âThen take care of her. Because if you hurt herââ
âI wonât,â Jungkook said, voice low. âEver.â
Another beat of silence.
Then your brother nodded once.
âThat doesnât mean I forgive you completely. Not yet. But⊠maybe we start over.â
Relief hit Jungkook like a wave.
âYeah,â he said, a faint smile tugging at his lips. âIâd like that.â
Your brother turned to leave, then paused. âTell her to stop being dramatic. She acts like Iâm gonna disown her or something.â
Jungkook laughed softly. âShe gets that from you.â
Your brother flipped him off without turning around.
When Jungkook came back to his apartment, you were already pacing back and forth in his room.
You looked up, heart pounding. âWell?!â
He smiledâsoft and real. âWeâre not dead.â
You ran into his arms, breathing him in. âI was so scared.â
âHeâs still mad,â Jungkook murmured into your hair. âBut heâs not cutting us off. He just⊠wants time.â
You pulled back to look at him. âYou okay?â
He nodded. âI am now.â
Then he pulled you close again, kissed your forehead, and whispered:
âWeâre gonna be okay.â

Part 5: âYoursâPairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N)Genre: Angst | Fluff | Secret Romance | HealingRating: đ 18+ (mature themes, emotional intimacy, soft smut)
It had been three days since your brother found out.
Three days of silence. No calls. No texts.Just a gaping hole where your relationship used to be.
Jungkook had given you space. He hadnât pushed, hadnât crowded youâjust left you in his apartment with blankets, takeout, and gentle kisses when you needed them. He knew you were hurting.
So was he.
You were lying in his bed, his hoodie drowning your body, staring at the ceiling when he walked in with two mugs of tea.
He handed you one and sat beside you, quiet for a moment.
âYou okay?â he asked.
You nodded, but your voice cracked. âI miss him.â
âI know.â
You set your mug down. âHeâs not just my brother, Jungkook. Heâs always been⊠my best friend too.â
Jungkook wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into his chest.
âAnd I took that from you,â he said, guilt in his voice. âI shouldâve never let it go this far without talking to him. I justââ
You tilted your head up. âI donât regret this.â
He looked at you, surprise flickering in his eyes.
âI miss him,â you whispered. âBut I donât regret you. Not for a second.â
He leaned his forehead against yours. âI swear Iâd do it all differently if I could. Iâd ask him first. Iâd make it right.â
You smiled sadly. âWe canât undo it.â
âNo,â he said quietly. âBut we can move forward.â
You paused. âHow?â
Jungkook took a deep breath. âLet me show you something.â
He got up, reached into his drawer, and pulled out a small black box.
Your heart skipped.
He handed it to youânot dramatic, not flashy, just him being real.
Inside was a simple silver chain with a charm: a tiny letter âJ.â
âI was gonna wait,â he said, watching your face. âBut screw it. I want you to know Iâm serious. This isnât just hooking up or sneaking around. Iâm yours. If you want me.â
Your throat tightened. You looked up at him, eyes shining. âIâve always wanted you.â
Jungkook leaned in, kissing you slowlyâdifferent from the hungry, reckless kisses before. This one was soft, full of unspoken promises.
You ended up back in bed, limbs tangled under the sheets, his body warm and grounding on top of yours. His hands explored like he was learning you all over againânot rushed, not desperate. Just⊠real.
âI love you,â he whispered as he slid into you, holding your face in his hands. âEven if the whole worldâs against us. Youâre mine.â
You pulled him closer, your voice breaking. âIâm yours, Jungkook. All of me.â
You moved together slowly, like this was the first time. And maybe it was.
The first time with nothing to hide.
Later, as you lay against his chest, his fingers tracing soft lines on your back, you whispered:
âWhat if he never forgives us?â
Jungkook kissed your forehead. âThen Iâll keep showing him that loving you didnât mean betraying him.â
You exhaled.
You werenât sure how long it would take to fix thingsâbut for now, you had each other. And somehow, that made it easier to breathe.

Part 4: âBustedâPairing: Jungkook Ă Reader (Y/N)Genre: Angst | Smut | Brotherâs Best Friend | Forbidden Romance | Secrets RevealedRating: đ 18+ (Mature Content)
It was supposed to be one of your quiet nights in.
Just you and Jungkook. Takeout. A horror movie neither of you paid attention to. His hand under the blanket, tracing lazy circles up your thigh. Your lips pressed to his neck as he muttered things that made your stomach clench.
By now, sneaking around felt like a second nature. The thrill of knowing you shouldn't be doing this making every moment even hotter.
But tonight?
You let your guard down.
You were so wrapped up in himâstraddling his lap on the couch, shirt half-off, his fingers teasing the waistband of your shortsâthat you didn't hear the front door open.
Didn't hear the footsteps.
Didn't hear your brother say your nameâ
Until it was too late.
"What the fuck is going on?"
You froze.
Your entire body went cold as you whipped your head toward the living room entranceâwhere your brother stood, staring at the two of you like he was witnessing a murder scene. Jaw clenched. Eyes wide.
Jungkook was still holding you.
You scrambled off his lap, yanking your shirt down, but the damage was done.
Your brother's eyes locked on Jungkook. "Youâyou're supposed to be my best friend."
"Let me explainâ" Jungkook started, standing.
"Explain what?" he snapped. "How long has this been going on?"
You opened your mouth, but nothing came out.
Jungkook stepped forward, calm but firm. "It's not what you think. I didn't plan this. I didn't go behind your back to hurt you."
"That's rich," your brother said bitterly, turning to you now. "And youâyou let him touch you like that under my roof?"
"Don't talk to her like that," Jungkook said sharply, stepping between you.
That broke something in your brother's face.
"Oh, so now you're her boyfriend? Since when?"
You whispered, "Since a while ago."
Silence.
Jungkook exhaled. "I love her, man."
That made your brother laugh. A short, humorless sound.
"Love?" he repeated. "No. No way. You don't get to say that. You think just because you throw the L word around it makes this okay?"
"I never meant to hide it forever," Jungkook said. "We were just trying to figure it out first before dragging you into it."
Your brother shook his head. "Get out."
"Let's just talkâ" you tried.
"No," he snapped. "I don't wanna see either of you right now. Jungkookâget out of my fucking house!"
Jungkook turned to you, eyes asking silently what do you want me to do?
You swallowed hard, heart pounding.
"I'll go too," you said softly.
Your brother looked betrayed. "You're choosing him over me?"
"I'm not choosing anything," you said, tears in your eyes. "I just... I need space. You're mad, and I get it. But this isn't just a fling." You said clinging on to jungkook's arm
Your brother didn't respond.
Just stared at the two of you, shaking his head like he couldn't believe this was happening.
______________________________________________________________
That night, you crashed at Jungkook's apartment.
Neither of you said much at first. You just sat on the edge of his bed, numb and quiet, as the weight of it all sank in.
Finally, Jungkook whispered, "I'm sorry."
You leaned into him. "Me too."
But under it allâbeneath the guilt and the falloutâyou still felt it. That pull. That ache. That raw, burning truth:
You'd still choose him.Every. Time.
