“Who are you talking about?” Blu set down his stack of cards, baffled by such a question. Is she referring to another girl? The only other one he really liked was Heidi, and he doesn’t think Goldfish is all too familiar with her.

…Or maybe she wasn’t talking about another person. Jeez. He’s stupid. Maybe it was a pet or something. Antsy and wanting to find an answer, he played with the cards in his hand, glancing up at Marc and waiting for his reply.

Marc took out one of his earbuds. “Who took what, now?” He looked around the room, confused. “Why are you two looking at me like that? I didn’t take anything!! What are you even talking about, anyway?” Marc rolled his eyes and paused his music, eager for answers.

“..twinkers! She was on the table when I went to get something to eat! When I came back, she was gone..and it’s either you two! She didn’t just wish to come alive and walk away! She would never do that!” ….oh, she’s talking about that teddy bear she had, she didn’t really knew it’s actual name, she just knows it had “wish” in it’s name, but she called it twinkers Incase.

“Ummm…” Blu now recognized that the bear plushie from earlier was missing. He leaned under the table, expecting her to have fallen over; She wasn’t on the floor. When he lifted himself back up, he thought she would be there. Again– no trace of the bear.

“Sorry, I was so engorged by my cards, I guess I didn’t notice when it vanished..!” He scratched the back of his neck. “I dunno where it went.”

Marc fiddled with the collar of his shirt. “That old thing? Haven’t seen it, kiddo! Sorry. I, uh, hope you find it! Would you like me to help you find it?” his voice was hurried. “It’s so easy to lose stuff around here. Oh well, best of luck to you!” Marc put his earbuds back in and turned his music all the way up, hoping they would leave him alone from then on.

“Goldfish? Hey, calm down,” Blu tucked her into his comforting embrace. “You’re not fat, and even if you were, it makes no damn difference in beauty standards.” Marc told her this…? But why? He’d never be mean to anyone else. That was extremely unlikely to be him.

“I’m certain he was just trying to make a bad attempt at a joke. He didn’t mean it, Goldfish.” Blu pat her back.
