Alice had slept so well the night before sheâd almost refused to get out of bed that morning. Sheâd spent the previous day with one of her favourite clients, whoâd just received a promotion and wanted to celebrate. Theyâd taken a portkey to Montenegro, spent the day in the sun, drinking expensive champagne and played some poker. After a few hours in a particularly spectacular hotel, theyâd come back to England and Alice had fallen into bed, tired, sunkissed and content. But today was an Eddie and Allie day; and nothing, not even exhaustion, would stop Alice from having that kind of day. After showering and dressing ( a turtleneck white cropped jumper, with tight fitting grey tartin / checked trousers and heeled boots ) sheâd made her way to the kitchen and chopped some fruit for a healthy breakfast.
A warm smile came to her lips as Edgar came in, humming contently as he kissed her cheek. âMorning love,â she replied softly. She nodded her head. âPlease,â she said. âIâm having fruit, do you want any?â she asked and sliced a few strawberries. She pursed her lips in thought. âIâm thinking Montreal orâŚBuenos Airesââ she told him. âWhat do you think?â she asked.
As a whole, Edgar was good at keeping in touch with his friends on a regular basis. It helped that his work schedule was fairly consistent, for all intents and purposes. Maybe it was because he was a first born child, or because the importance of family had been ingrained in him since he was a child, but Edgar had always believed that it was his responsibility to keep in close content with his friends that had become apart of his family over the years. Not to say he wasnât close with his biological family, because of course he was, but he had found that he had more than enough room in his heart for more.Â
Smiling, he got their tea fixed up to each of their liking, while he gave a nod, âThat sounds great actually. I think we have some yogurt still, so I might grab some of that as well. Would you want any?â he asked, already moving to the fridge to get the mentioned food. âEither of those would be fantastic. Admittedly, Iâve not been to Buenos Aires, but itâs on my list. We could go there today?â he answered, happy to help make a decision.Â
