Welcome to the very first GOLSON blog...
Earlier in the year, you may have noticed we changed names. It was goodbye & farewell from "The Lounge" at our Oxley Park site, and "Luke Golson, The Salon" at Aspley Guise and hello & welcome to Golson across at both locations.
Now, for those of you that have visited over the past few months, you may have noticed some other changes going on too. For our Oxley Park clientele there are 3 new product ranges (I’ll cover these in separate posts), not to mention a new colour range (again more details to follow), in the form of Goldwell. For Aspley Guise clients there are new premises, and we’ve done away with the plastic wrapped biscuits (Luke & I battled it out in a dual) :) and now, you can often be presented with little brownie bites, mouthfuls of flapjack and even more recently candy covered chocolates.
I’ve been asked by my regular clients what I’ve made of the changes, or how I’ve felt about them and I’m going to be completely honest... at first I was a little apprehensive, there was after all a lot of change. “What would this mean for me/my role?” “What if the colours aren’t as good?” “Why are our product brands changing?” I had always been very dedicated to L’Oreal as I had used them throughout a big chunk of my career, I’d also attended many a course run by them. So they were my safe tried and tested.
However, you’ll be pleased to know that I enjoy a challenge, and those thoughts didn’t last long and instead was replaced with the excitement of some fabulous new product brands that I've fallen in love with. We’ve also had full training, and the team & I have been using them successfully on numerous clients, and each other... (it's a tough life)...
I couldn’t be happier with the results of Goldwell colour. The colours are very multi-tonal and look extremely natural, the grey coverage has been excellent, and there have been reports that the colour seems to stick to the greys longer too. You can definitely say I’m a Goldwell convert, and to top it off, I'm currently in the middle of a 6 week colour expert course, so I can't wait to deliver all my new skills & knowledge to everybody...
As for the rest of the changes, it’s all been pretty plain sailing for me, my role hasn’t changed dramatically, and our new team mates and boss are just lovely! How silly my initial concerns seem now. I’m looking forward to see what the rest of the year holds, and look forward to greet you all in the salon.
PS... here are just some of the ways you can keep up to date with our specials too...
