Moving is such an arduous task. As you can tell by my work-in-progress home office and the boxes behind me, I recently moved. It’s an exciting new chapter for me. I am closer to work to optimize my time and secluded from the world to find myself.

Part of that chapter entails me re-focusing my life and reviving my love for fitness. I’m so out of shape you wouldn’t believe. That probably has a lot to do with the junk food I so love and do not deprive myself of haha.. but there’ s a balance to it all. I want to find it. 

I decided to kick-start my fitness journey with the insanity 60-day challenge. Yeah, I think it’s crazy too, but if at first you don’t succeed right? I am hungry for a change... a positive change. A change that makes me feel like I have some control in my life.

Life is all about the ups... and downs

Life is a merry-go-round. It’s best if we just enjoy the ride than fight the undulating forces. Some days are great, some days make you want to scream! I’d rather enjoy the sunshine... and the rain.

So I’ve been planning on going back to graduate school and I took the GRE. I get an email today <4 weeks later!> that my score has been canceled... why? Because I didn’t provide “acceptable identification”. Imagine my confusion because I used a government-issued driver’s license. 2 calls and 15 minutes later, I find out I was supposed to use my passport. Now my score is canceled, my grad school program deadline is tomorrow and there’s nothing I can do about it. I wanted to be angry - I couldn’t find the strength. I wanted to scream - I couldn’t find the voice. All I could do was smile, sigh and praise God because what else would suffice at this point. I finally chuckled to myself and thought: “well then, time for a better score ;)”

Silver lining: Magoosh (great study tool btw) extended my registration for FREE after I explained the story to them. Such a great person that Davi :)

Today I beat the odd and I intend to rise above it all. 

It all started when I caught a case due to my irresponsible actions. Not once, but twice! Still, I rise. I was laughed at and ridiculed. People thought I had met my end; but still like an eagle - I rise. I will not just rise, I will soar - above average, above mediocrity and above what I believe is possible. I rise. 

I have been given a second chance at life - to be free! And it was all by the Grace of God. Don’t know where to start, but all I can do is praise the Lord and look forward to more beautiful adventures of a life time!

Evermore, I rise :)

It’s been a while and a lot has happened (obviously... life lol), but I have in that time been going in the wrong direction (combination of stagnation and poor choices) and NOW it’s time to get back on track!

It’s pretty much all things me - fitness, love, spirituality, work, friendship, passion-finding, etc.
