Caspian was wearing a small smile as he came to stand with Evienne. Things in Narnia were going well and the two of them were doing well as king and queen. “How have you been? I know some duties have kept you busy…” He said with a slight smile still on his face. “Are you finding them okay? I can ask for them to slow things down if you need,” Caspian offered to her.
The duties had definitely been keeping her on her toes but she didn't mind, she enjoyed it. She gave a reassuring smile toward her husband "I have actually been enjoying the duties" She admitted, "Though I don't think I can cope with anymore" she had been virtually traveling across the whole of Narnia to host different events, or even help with daily struggles the country faced. "I just hope I'm doing a good job" The brunette gave a small shrug of her shoulders, it certainly felt nice to be back at the castle, to properly be with Caspian again.
"But I have a few days off to spend with you properly as my husband" Evienne commented her arms now wrapped around his neck, bringing herself closer to him. It was certainly a nice feeling to wake up beside Caspian, to be able to just cuddle him in the night if she felt like it, or to even simply lay beside him on a lazy morning. "Above being King, you are also my husband" it still felt forgein on her lips but it was a warm feeling everytime she said it.
@gratiamdei Caspian
It was a very joyous day in Narnia. The sun was beaming high in the blue sky and sent down its warm rays. Everyone was in high spirits, there was a lot of chatter and laughter as everyone got ready for the tremendous celebration that was meant to occur later that afternoon. Dwarves were helping with the heavy lifting, fauns were busy getting ready for the buffet and the other Narnians and humans were sorting out the decorations and two throne seats where eventually Evienne would be crowned Queen of Narnia alongside Caspian.
It was to be a wedding and a coronation in one, of course Aslan was to be the one to lead it and to give Evienne her duties as wife and Queen. Lucy Pevensie was helping Evienne with her dress and her hair which was also helped by her hand maids. She fiddled with the ring that was placed upon her wedding finger, it was a Ruby with a simple gold band. Warm eyes went to Lucy, her nerves were clear. "It's alright to be nervous my lady" One of her hand maidens reassured gently. Eyes went to the beautiful dress that hung upon her wardrobe, it was white with beautiful spring like floral patterns upon it, washing it in shades of washed out red, green and hints of blue. Her veil was long and had intricate detailing on them, embellished were small crystals.
Lucy gave Evienne a warm smile and wanted nothing more than to wrap her into a hug but she didn't want to be too pushy on a day like today. “You'll look beautiful, honestly....Caspian won't know what has hit him,” Lucy said with a bright smile still on her face. She did admire the dress very much and it was very beautiful. Evienne would look so wonderful in it. “Is there something that I can do to help you?” Lucy asked. She was pleased to have been able to stay in Narnia to witness the coronation and the marriage. She was sure that Edmund was having similar conversations with Caspian who was currently getting ready with his lords and Ed.
Lucy dusted off her dress and then made sure that it was looking nice enough. It had been made for her and she felt more comfortable in it than she had done her clothes from England. “You know, I think you'll be the most beautiful queen we've had,” Lucy commented. She thought of Susan for a moment and then pushed the thoughts away. Susan had made her angry and had started rejecting Narnia and all that had happened within the magical land. “Oh, I have something for you,” Lucy spoke and then moved away to get what she had chosen. It was a necklace that she had owned as queen and she felt it would work with Evienne's dress.
“Thank you Lucy” Evienne responded giving her friend a kind smile. At the mention of having a gift for her, her eyebrows rose a little in curiosity upon seeing the necklace her face broke into a bright smile, she knew it was a necklace that she had worn as Queen, and Evienne didn’t hesitate to pull the brunette into a warm hug “I don’t even know what to say” She could feel the tears coming along, but no, she had to hold back. There would be a lot of crying today it would seem. “Shall we get you into your dress my lady?” One of the maids asked, Evienne gave a nod of her head “Alright” She stated simply. It took a while to get into the dress but it fit lovely and flowed down to her feet. They placed the necklace around her neck, making sure it was secured. It was dainty, but simple which was what Evienne liked and certainly worked well with the dress.
She heard a knock at the door and her head turned, it was Edmund at the door “Just to let you know that we’re ready with Caspian and it’ll start in an hour, they’re just finishing off in the court yard” He explained, Evienne was curious, she wanted to know how Caspian was feeling, if he felt just as worried as she had done. “How is he?” Evienne asked the High King, turning to face him with a small smile, her stance was even nervous, not as upright and perhaps confident as it usually was. She wished she could see him, though it was superstition to not see the bride before the wedding, Evienne just yearned to be by Narnia’s King’s side.

When asked about how Caspian was Edmund gave a small laugh and then shook his head fondly. He had never seen the young man so nervous about anything before now. “He's a little nervous but that's to be expected I think,” Edmund said. “Trufflehunter threatened to sit on his head if he didn't calm down a little bit,” Edmund said. He had to admit that what the badger had said managed to get through to Caspian as he eventually calmed down enough to arrange what needed to be put into place. Trumpkin and the others had been a good help and had tried to take as much pressure off the couple as they could do. “He woke me about one this morning worrying about floral arrangements,” Edmund said dryly but without malice. It wasn't every day that an event like this took place. Lucy couldn't help but feel sorry for Caspian and Evienne as she knew today would hold a lot of emotions and have a lot of things going on. It wasn't a bad thing but she knew that some people would worry. “But he's so excited too,” Edmund then told her.
He knew that Caspian was counting the hours until he he saw Evienne again and he was hopelessly worried about her. “I think he's just longing to see you again,” Edmund said with a grin. “He's not used to being separated from you,” Edmund said. Edmund knew that Caspian and Evienne were rarely apart from each other. Edmund glanced at Lucy who was watching Evienne with a look of admiration in her eyes. She was very fond of Evienne and she was glad that Caspian was marrying her and she knew that the two of them would be very happy. “It'll only be for a little bit,” Lucy said soothingly. “I bet when he sees you in the dress he'll be amazed,” Edmund said. He did find Evienne rather fetching in her dress and it did look rather beautiful. He was impressed and he knew that Caspian would like it very much. “You do look beautiful Evienne,” Edmund complimented. Lucy beamed at him and then looked at Evienne. “You really do,” She aid softly. She could hear various things throughout the castle and knew that preparations were being made for the big day.
Evienne couldn't help the laugh but she was relieved that he was feeling just as nervous as she was. "Thank you Ed, means a lot" She commented on the compliment her smile turning back into a bright one. The hour seemed to go by so quickly, Edmund had left the room to allow the girls to finish getting Evienne ready, they helped place the tiara on her head, fixed with the veil.
Her father came in and held out his hands toward his daughter, she took hold of his arm, Lucy was one of her bridesmaids he lead her out of her Chambers, placing the veil back over her face. She was lead toward the courtyard where there were benches set out in rows, decorated with floral each narnian and telmarine alike were placed in them. Aslan was at the front and down at the end of the aisle she saw Caspian his back facing her, she could already feel the tears prickle behind her eyes. Edmund was also placed beside Caspian with a wide grin on his face.
She heard various instruments begin to play a mix of string and gentle drum as she started to walk down the aisle. Everyone naturally turned their heads toward Evienne and her father who lead her down, muttering and whispering excitedly amongst themselves. In what felt like a decade, in which was really a few minutes she reached Caspian. Her father, Lord Angbor placed her hand within Caspians as he now stood at the front. Finally, she was at his side in probably the biggest moment in her life. Her veil was lifted and brown hues fell upon his own, glassy from the tears which held behind them. "Hello" Evienne whispered to Caspian, she was unable to stop the smile.

Caspian watched as Evienne approached him, he couldn't take his eyes off of her, she looked so beautiful and radiant. There was so many things that he wanted to say and they burst through his mind like fireworks. When she spoke he wore a bright smile and was tempted to say a lot of things but he managed to keep his mouth shut for the moment. “Hello, how are you feeling?” Caspian whispered to her so that the conversation was between them. He felt so nervous even though he knew that he wanted this. Aslan was watching the pair of them with his large golden eyes his tail lashing at his sides as he waited patiently. “I was so nervous and you look so beautiful,” Caspian told her. He knew that this little talk would give the chance for the guests to get themselves organised and comfortable before they began the ceremony.
The sound of the leaves swaying the breeze seemed lovely and after a moment Caspian turned towards Aslan a bright smile on his face and his heart hammering quickly. Aslan's face was solemn as he went through the ceremony with Evienne and Caspian. Each moment of it would be in Caspian's memory for a long time. It was such a beautiful thing for him and he was happy that Evienne was now going to be his wife. He pressed a soft kiss to her lips and then looked delighted. Evienne would be his queen and he didn't doubt that the two of them would be good for Narnia. That they would be the perfect combination. “I am so happy, I cannot keep the grin from my face,” He spoke a bright smile still on his face and a glow of affection in his heart. He knew that he wouldn't ever forget this day or the happiness he felt right this moment.
His brown eyes were warm as he focused on Evienne. “You will be my queen and there is so much that we would be able to do...” He said. There was a lot plans he had for Narnia and he hoped that both Lucy and Edmund would be able to help them and stay with them. “Everything is ready, for our Ball...” He explained glad that he was able to say that to her. “It will be your first as queen, how do you feel about that?” He asked her quietly. He could hear the crowd talking and cheering and Aslan was sat with Lucy the queen of old resting one of her hands into his golden fur. Caspian was sure that not many would be able to get away with that. “You will have me with you in all things,” He said with a soft tone. Caspian and his arm around her waist and then watched as some of the court members came froward to greet the new queen and to congratulate them.
The ceremony had been rather quick, each saying their vows. She stood hand in hand with Caspian, she was unable to wipe the smile from her face too, now she had to wipe the tears from her eyes quickly before they ran down her face. No, she couldn't break down into happy tears yet.
Her lips found his as they said their 'I dos' now she was officially both his wife and his Queen, Narnias Queen. The fact that the ball would be her first as Queen was both exciting and nerve wracking but she was sure she could handle it. "It sounds exciting" she responded to the question pressing a kiss upon his cheek. She smiled brightly toward those who came to congratulate and curtsey or bow in front of them, she watched Lucy and Aslan he was so sweet with the girl that it was almost heart warming.
People were first gathered in the court yard where music was being played and being served drinks and food before the ball took place in the evening. Evienne took hold of two goblets of wine passing one to her new husband, "I definitely need this" She commented with a soft laugh, taking a gulp or two of the red liquor. She rest her head upon Caspian's shoulder so casually, she didn't care if it was informal she had spent quite a while without him and now she just didn't wish to leave his side.

Evienne turned her head toward Eustace at the question, “Someone like Aslan?” she questioned, she had to think for a moment “Well.. Middle earth is made of many Kingdoms, I come from Gondor, but there is Mordor, The Shire, Riverdale, Mirkwood, Rohan.. there are too many to say. We did have a King, to cut a long story short, we didn’t have a King, he got murdered, Mordor took war upon the land and by the end of everything, the quest of the one ring, to destory it in the pits of Mordor.. Aragorn who was the rightful heir to Gondor, Isildur’s only heir, he took his place finally to become King and unite the rest of Middle Earth, alongside his Queen, Arwen.” Evienne explained, it was similar to Narnia but it was a world that was also quite different. “So I suppose you could say Aragorn is sort of like our Aslan?”
Evienne looked across the room, sipping on the water. “Sounds confusing” Edmund stated, “Yeah, it is.. we have a lot of history, and a complicated one. I won’t bore you with it” the brunette mused deciding to lean herself slightly upon Caspian. “Aragorn would like you too” She stated, resting her chin upon his shoulder, adoration in her molten eyes. She couldn’t wait to become his wife, to sit beside him properly on the throne of Narnia. “He’d also say that you’re probably mad enough to be with me as I’m stubborn” she teased lightly, though it was a comment Aragorn probably would make.
Caspian couldn’t help but feel amused when he was told that Aragon would think him mad. He didn’t think he was though. He did love Evienne and he didn’t think that it was something mad. Caspian was more than happy to be with her and to make her his wife. “He can think me mad,” Caspian spoke with some passion. He didn’t regret what he had done. Lucy wore a small smile as she watched the two of them. She was thankful that Evienne and Caspian had found each other and would be able to assist each other. There was a comfortable silent as they ate and drank. Caspian was pleased to have Evienne at his side and have good company with him. The sound of the waves could be heard and the bustle above deck seemed to grow excited. Caspian looked at Evienne and smiled. “Seems the crew are happy,” He said to her. “Maybe they’ve seen something?” He questioned wondering what she thought about it.
Eustace heard the comment and then frowned. “Well I hope they have found land. I still wish to lodge a complaint at the British Consulate,” He said with a sniffy sort of voice. Caspian looked at him and then frowned at him for a moment but then turned his attention to Evienne. “Shall we go above and have a look? They might have spotted some land?” He asked. Reepicheep scampered up towards the deck his eyes bright his tail whipping behind him as he went up. Eustace once more had an ugly look on his face but it soon passed when he caught Edmund watching him as if daring him to do something. “If it is land shall we stretch our legs?” Lucy asked. “Maybe it’s something else?” Edmund said with a shrug of his shoulders.
Evienne lifted her heard as she heard the hustle and bustle up on deck. “Sounds like an idea to me” she couldn’t wait to get off this ship, a bit of land, hopefully a town, would do her some good. She got to her feet following Reepicheep up onto the main deck where it seemed they were getting ready for hoist anchor into the ocean. Eyes glanced forward to the left side of the ship, and there they were, very close to land, probably about ten minutes away. “Land! Oh thank Aslan.. I can get off this blasted ship” Evienne stated with a sigh of relief.
“Don’t like the ship?” Edmund asked, “not that I don’t like it.. just that I get restless and sometimes a little sea sick” Evienne admitted giving Edmund a gentle smile. Brown eyes found Caspian again, “We should get the longboats ready, get some crates to fill with food and water” Evienne stated to the King “If you’d care to join me?” if she was being honest, she cherished the times alone she had with Caspian especially whilst they were constantly around crew members and even around the trio that had landed on board with them by mere accident.
She walked down the steps toward where they held the food and water, some crates were already empty. Evienne took the moment to wrap her arms around the King, hugging him tightly to her. “Even though we don’t have many moments alone, I’ll always try and grab them” The brunette explained, pulling back slightly from the embrace, a loving smile carved upon porcelain features.

Evienne gave a soft smile giving Caspian her thanks as she sat beside the King. At the question Evienne gave a small shrug of her shoulders, she did have to think about it a bit. “Well I help Caspian with his Kingly duties” Wow that came out wrong, she quickly cleared her throat “In court! In court! ” She cleared up giving a nervous laugh, “I help my father a lot these days, he’s going a bit.. Senile I suppose you could say. We often find him on the roof blazing about orcs but he’s fine, he has his good days and bad days” She admitted a hint of sadness in her voice.
She nibbled on the food thinking a bit more on what she did weekly, “I train archery to soldiers, sometimes I assist with sword fighting as well” brown hues went to Lucy in that moment giving a kind smile “I’d be more than happy to teach you archery Lucy, it’ll be my honour” the more archers the better in Eviennes eyes. She turned her attention back to Caspian giving a soft grin “mostly I make sure Caspian isn’t doing anything stupid or getting himself in situations that he can’t get out of.. But he’s a good King, Narnia is grateful to have him” Evienne stated her grin turning into a fond smile.
Reepicheep smiled up at the two “and Narnia will be grateful to have you as it’s Queen my lady” He perked up, “Aslan without a doubt will bless your marriage and coronation in a heartbeat” Evienne hadn’t met the great lion though she had heard so many stories, both from old books and tales. “What is Aslan like?” Evienne asked the group. “I have heard so much about him but I haven’t had the grace to meet him yet, unfortunately”
When asked what Alan was like a wondrous look came over Lucy’s face and she couldn’t quite keep her excitement to herself. “Aslan is wonderful and brave…” She began her eyes shining brightly as they often did when she spoke of Aslan. She always felt comforted to see the Lion and hoped that they would be able to come across him during this journey. It would soothe her no end. Edmund looked at Eveinne and wore an expression that was strange for a moment. “He’s the son of the Emperor beyond the Sea. He’s not a tame Lion you understand,” Edmund told her. Caspian had to agree with what the others were saying. Aslan was not a very tame lion. He kept to his own schedule and didn’t let anyone keep him from that. He was not one you would question. “He..,is the one I made my vow to, to find those lords,” Caspian explained to her.
He had not been able to put into words what he felt about Aslan and how much he admired the true King of Narnia. “He’s got this presence about him but he is good…though he won’t suffer fools,” Caspian said softly. “Oh he doesn’t He once turned Prince Rabadash into a donkey,” Edmund said hardly able to keep the look of mirth that came onto his face. Lucy shook her head slightly but she too was amused by the memory of the prince who had been so foolish as to accept their judgment and had been judged by Aslan instead. “Though I think he’d like you very much,” Caspian said to Evienne with a small smile on his face. Evienne had done nothing but good for Narnia so he doubted that Aslan would hold much against her.
Reepicheep’s whiskers were twitching and had a warm expression on his face. “His Majesty is correct. Aslan would like you. You are a brave and kind soul,” The mouse said bowing slightly to her. During the whole exchange Eustace had said nothing he did have a gleam in his eyes. He was not going to say anything about Alsan as he knew he would be shot down but he was glad to know of him and would keep away from the beast if he could do. “Do you have someone like Aslan where you are from? You seem different from them don’t you?” Eustace asked his head tilting slightly as he watched Evienne. He was curious to know as he thought every place had someone like Aslan.

At the question from Edmund who had taught her she gave a fond smile “Boromir he was a Stewart of Gondor, best Knight I ever knew, could even give Aragorn a run for his money” She responded laughing a little to herself “He was my best friend. Archery on the other hand I was taught by the Elves of Riverdale, she too gave me a hand with sword fighting” Evienne explained. Eustace looked to Evienne “You speak in the past tence, did he die?” Talk about being blunt, the brunette thought to herself but she gave a small sigh “Yes Eustace he did, saving two hobbits from the orcs on his quest to rid of the one ring. He took five arrows only falling on the fourth so I was told.”
Evienne smiled down at Reepicheep “We will learn from one another yes, anyway Eustace over here needs to learn how to weild a sword, maybe that can be your task Reep?” She asked the mouse whose eyes seem to light up again he gave a bow “I’d be delighted my lady” He replied. Evienne looked up to Caspian, she took hold of his hand too just wanting to hold him close to her but they had to be respectful of the place and the time, but apart of her didn’t care. “I imagine he would be, he said I was his best student. I’d teach him to dance and he’d teach me to weild a sword, it was a two way deal” She commented with a laugh. Evienne gave a nod of her head they needed to reserve their strength for when they reached land “I agree. Some food and some resting is definitely in order, I feel like my arm is going to fall off” Evienne admitted, making Eustace gave a small roll of his eyes.
Caspian gave a grin and then led them back into the cabin that had been assigned to Lucy. It was one of the larger cabins and would allow them to eat and talk while they kept out of the way of the men who were on duty. Caspian did leave the room but came back with some food. He looked at Eustace who looked about to comment about the food that he was supplying them with. “So, how long as it been?” Lucy asked. “Since you were last here? Three years,” Caspian said with a small smile. He had set Narnia to rights with some help from some good friends and now he was going to sail to find the seven lords who had driven away by Miraz. They were the seven that would have stood up for Caspian so he wanted to be able to repay them in some kind and finding them would be a good way of going forward. Caspian explained a little bit about their task and Edmund whistled. “That won’t be easy but with me and Evienne with you, you won’t get hurt,” Edmund said with a grin on his face. Caspian rolled his eyes. “You act like I get into trouble…actually yes it’s probably a good idea I have you two,” He said smiling at Evienne and Edmund.
Eustace looked at Caspian for a moment and then picked at the food. “You know you are pretty reckless…” He muttered. Reepicheep gave a squeaky laugh and then nibbled at his own food. “You have no idea…” He said good naturedly. Caspian shook his head but said nothing. “Other than keeping Caspian from doing something silly what have you been doing the pat three years Evienne?” Lucy asked her friend. She wanted to know more about the woman who had so thoroughly captured Caspian’s heart. Edmund watched Eustace as he picked at his food and glancing at Reepichep’s tail that gave slight swishes every so often. “Don’t even think about it,” Edmund hissed into Eustace’s ear making the boy flinch. “I would love to be able to try some archery with you,” Lucy said to Evienne added to stop Edmund and Eustace from rowing. She really did feel that her cousin was a hopeless case.
Evienne gave a soft smile giving Caspian her thanks as she sat beside the King. At the question Evienne gave a small shrug of her shoulders, she did have to think about it a bit. "Well I help Caspian with his Kingly duties" Wow that came out wrong, she quickly cleared her throat "In court! In court! Evienne grinned at Caspian as his sword fell, she sheathed her weapon. Though Eustaces comment caused her to frown “there is nothing wrong to losing to a girl you’d be best to remember that” She muttered clearly unhappy with his remark, though Reepicheeps comment caused the smile to return. “I was taught by the best in Gondor” She admitted Boromir had taught her to weild a sword, though after learning her archery skills with the elves she had put the two skills together.
Eyes glanced to Edmund, “I could use a challenge” She hummed unsheathing her sword, getting into the right stance. “Ready” Edmund had struck first, his blows were just as powerful as Caspians, though he was definitely quicker on his feet. She practically jumped back as she defended herself, sword hitting sword numerous times. She ducked out of the way on one strike, he was quicker with the sword too.
She was doing well to keep up with Edmund, he even had to move out of the way of some of her strikes and blows. She was getting tired, her arm was beginning to ache but Evienne tried her best to keep up though inevitably the sword had fallen from her hand and she had been backed into Caspian. “You win Edmund” Evienne stated with a small laugh, “That’s the longest I have seen anyone fight with him, so you did well my lady” Reepicheep commented, eyes glistening and nose giving a slight twitch. “Who taught you?” Evienne asked the other King, not many were able to beat her so she always wanted to take note on those who did.
Caspian soon had his hand’s on Evienne’s shoulder and he gave her a small smile, she had done well to hold off against Edmund for as long as she had done. It was astounding to him that she had managed to even put Edmund off balance for a little while. When Edmund was asked who taught him he gave a small smile and then glanced at Lucy who was watching her brother with some admiration and some amusement. “King Lune…King Peter….a few centaurs,” Edmund listed off. He had taken lessons from the best and he was so glad that it had paid off for him or so it had seemed. He looked at Eivenne for a moment and then gave a small smile. “Who taught you?” Edmund asked with some curiosity. “I can’t remember if you told me or not,” Edmund mused. Reepicheep looked between the all and then patted his sword. “I wish that I could face one of you,” He mused.
Lucy looked at the Mouse and then gave him a fond smile. She knew that he would do as well as he could against the others even if they were much taller. “King Peter? As in Peter my cousin?” Eustace asked with a small frown on his face. “Yes, as in our brother…” Edmund said sharply. Lucy once more looked at her cousin and hoped that he would stop asking stupid questions. Lucy then looked at Evienne and Caspian and she couldn’t help but give a small smile. “Shall we have something to eat now you all have shown your valour?” She asked with an amused smile. It was going to be an interesting few days now. “Perhaps we can also learn from each other. Is it not better to learn more tricks than the enemy?” Reepicheep asked with eagerness. Lucy laughed but shook her head as she looked at the small mouse. “You are a true warrior,” Lucy complimented.
Caspian looked at Evienne and then grinned. “I imagine your friend would be most impressed. I wonder what he would have done in your place.” Caspian mused. He was well aware of Boromir and the others. He had learned a good deal of the story and what he had learned was more than fascinating to him. Caspian was tempted to just hold her close to him but here was neither the time nor the place. “We should rest now, we could find land any minute,” Lucy suggested and couldn’t help but wince at Reepicheep’s disappointed expression.
At the question from Edmund who had taught her she gave a fond smile "Boromir he was a Stewart of Gondor, best Knight I ever knew, could even give Aragorn a run for his money" She responded laughing a little to herself "He was my best friend. Evienne looked up to Caspian, she took hold of his hand too just wanting to hold him close to her but they had to be respectful of the place and the time, but apart of her didn't care. Evienne quickly lifted her sword more, the metal clashing with one another. She moved backward keeping on her toes. His strikes were hard and Evienne had to be sure to defend herself with a strong grip to be sure the sword didn’t fall out of her hand. “Good, you aren’t holding back this time” She was controlled as was he, being careful not to hurt one another by accident, these were real swords after all. She could hear the conversations but like Caspian, Evienne decided to ignore it and focus on the training at hand.
“If they want a show, then a show they will get” Evienne agreed, the grin on her features. She moved out of the way of Caspian moving around him, her feet movements were quick but small, and it almost looked like it was a dance. She tapped by his feet with her blade “Feet Caspian. You need to move your feet.” She stated not in a stern voice but in a knowing tone. “You aren’t balanced enough.” She gently tapped again with the inside of his legs in an attempt to make them more apart. “Feet further apart.” She gave a playful swing of her sword in her hand though it was a quick swing, not a slow i’m ready to fight sort of move, before turning around almost in a circle keeping her blade this time close to her body, being careful not to touch his sword, simply to move back around in front of him. Her own blade hit against his again as she defended herself, her body facing almost sideways. “Is she trying to take the sword out of his hand?” Edmund asked Reepicheep “yes, since she can’t be forceful with her moves, she uses tactic instead” He explained. The crowd cheered and laughed as she hit again in an attempt to go underneath the blade, to circle it out of his grip.
Caspian was highly amused when she tapped his foot and his leg in an attempt to make him balance and to be able to move as what he should do. He did attempt to keep a hold of his sword and for the most part he managed but it was only a near thing. “You are on form today,” Caspian said lightly feeling all the better for having agreed to this match. It was a welcome relief and it was so much fun. He always enjoyed sparring with Evienne as she was not a harsh teacher and she always gave these spars a sense of fun. He laughed when his blade clattered the floor. Though he had been beaten he could not be more proud of her. She had proven that she was capable and a strong woman. He looked at her for a moment and then grinned. “You win again Evienne…” Caspian said with a small shake of his head. He was not upset to have lost.
Eustace looked at Caspian and then gave a small frown and looked as if he was very surprised by what he had seen. He placed his hands on his hop and then gave a small scoff. “Just like him to loose against a woman,” Eustace said. Lucy elbowed him and he gave a soft grunt but he looked at Caspian as if he had been found wanting. “Do not be so unfair Eustace. Evienne has to make up for Caspian’s strength somehow so she uses…inventive moves,” Lucy said with a bright smile as she looked at Evienne. “Do you fancy your chances then Ed?” Lucy asked her brother. Reepicheep’s nose was twitching with delight and he looked at Evienne with admiration. “You did very well My Lady! Your form is most impressive!” He said. He then glanced at Edmund who was now gearing himself up to spar with Evienne. “Edmund…he’s quick and whip sharp. Not like me,” Caspian told Evienne. Caspian knew that Evienne may have seen Edmund fight but he wanted to point it out. If anyone posed any real danger on this ship it was Edmund. “You…need to lift your feet,” Edmund said with amusement clear in his voice as he looked at Evienne. “I am ready when you Evienne,” Edmund said with a grin. “Do be careful both of you,” Evienne said.
Evienne grinned at Caspian as his sword fell, she sheathed her weapon. Though Eustaces comment caused her to frown "there is nothing wrong to losing to a girl you'd be best to remember that" She muttered clearly unhappy with his remark, though Reepicheeps comment caused the smile to return. Evienne gave a nod of her head getting to her feet “Great. Winner is to take on the High King” Evienne replied referring to Edmund. She got her sword taking it out of it’s sheath, Reepicheep glanced to Lucy “well she has won every other time” Reep replied. Evienne gave a grin, she was feeling playful. The crew stood watching, everyone loved to watch a good sparring it always livened up the mood. Evienne never attacked first, it wasn’t in her nature, she was always taught to defend herself first. “This time Caspian.. don’t go easy on me” She hummed in amusement.
She placed herself in a stance sword upward. “They like to comment on what each other is doing wrong” reepicheep commented to both Lucy and Edmund, “it’s how they better themselves.” He added on. “Evienne is very quick on her feet, she is good at being able to simply move and defend herself away from the sword, but she isn’t as strong as Caspian so he can put the strikes a lot harder than she can” Reepicheep explained quietly. “I’m not waiting all day my king” She toyed making sure to keep her blade up.
Caspian gave a small smile and then drew his blade properly and moved a little bit back from Evienne. He allowed his eyes to focus on her and he wondered if she would win the battle. He did know that she was a fierce fighter and unlike him she was quick with her moves. He always put more force into his moves. He took a deep breath and then swung his blade at her with all the force that he had. He could hear the crowd applauding and laughing. “Is this what you do for fun?” Eustace asked his voice slightly sniffy. Lucy hushed him as she watched. “Don’t keep talking Eustace. I want watch this and Edmund needs to watch,” Lucy said to him. She watched as the young king moved in attempt to get some sort of hit in. Reepicheep looked excited his whiskers twitching with delight as he watched the pair. He was tempted to fight himself but he knew that the king would not allow that. He contented himself with watching.
“Am I being forceful enough for you?” Caspian teased. He did not want to hurt her but he would not go easy on her. He wanted to be able to show her what he was able to do. He knew that at times he was far less graceful than she but he was eager to improve on his skills. He could hear the chatter around them but he chose to ignore that for the moment as he looked at Evienne. “We should give them a show? It’s going to be rather interesting isn’t it?” Caspian spoke. He made sure he was on his guard and glanced at Edmund who was watching with rapt attention. He then looked at Evienne and then moved forward to strike once more not sure if it would ring true.
“We are running low on supplies, stocking up would be wise as soon as we reach a town” She responded nodding her head in agreement, the sea air blowing gently upon her face. The brunette gave a slight roll of her eyes at the comment Eustace made, she too deciding it best to ignore him. At the mention of chess Evienne gave a small laugh, “but you always beat me at chess” She commented a slight smirk forming on her features. “Why don’t we spar instead? I could use a work out” She admitted giving a soft but playful grin. In all fairness she did need a bit of a run around, being cooped up on the ship with no where to go made her restless and training certainly helped ease that feeling. Edmund looked up toward Caspian and Evienne “I’d love to see you get beaten by Evienne” He mused jokingly, he hadn’t seen them fight before one on one, together against people yes but not with each other. “Lady Evienne is quite skill full with a sword and a bow” Reepicheep agreed, making Evienne smile brighter. “Caspian is good with a sword too.. on occasion when he remembers to pick up his feet” She joked, toying with him. Eustace gave a roll of his eyes at the flirting leaning against the side.
Caspian looked more than amused when he was told he was good with a sword when he remembered to pick up his feet. He could feel the blush reach up to his cheeks and he managed a small smile. “I would love to spar, I would need to stretch my muscles…we’ve been on the ship so long,” He said with a small smile. He allowed his hand to rest on the pommel of his sword and glanced at Reepicheep who’s nose was twitching as he readied himself to watch what would promise to be a good fight. “The winner takes on King Edmund?” Caspian asked with an arched brow. He couldn’t help but glance at Edmund who was amused at the idea as well. “King?!” Eustace asked his face going red and then to a more pasty colour as he looked at Edmund. “I wouldn’t say anything else if I were you,” Lucy said to her cousin as she could see that Edmund wore an angry expression on his face at questioning his kingship.
Caspian frowned and then looked at Eustace and then gave him a small smile. “Unless you would rather be the one who faces Evienne when she beats me? Because she is very skilled indeed,” Caspian said softly. The boy flushed with embrassment and then shook his head to show that he did not like that idea very much and then backed away a little. “My dear Evienne, shall we spar?” Caspian asked and watched as the crew moved to be able to give them some room so that they would be able to spar. “Do you think Caspian will be beaten by Evienne?” Lucy asked Reepicheep who was watching with glittering eyes.

Evienne gave a bright smile, she couldn’t stop the smile. “We would love you to be able to join us” Evienne responded to Lucy’s comment. Her heart was full of delight and she was sure no matter how hard this may become that Evienne knew that she would do all that she could to help the land and most of all help Caspian.
“I love you too” Evienne responded back in a whisper pressing a quick kiss upon his lips before following to the deck, hand in hand with Caspian. She was sure Eustace probably still felt as if this wasn’t real though she knew soon enough he would come to realise that in fact it was. “I do hope Aslan says yes if you see him” Reepicheep commented his eyes bright. “I am sure that he will” Evienne replied to the knight. “When we get back wedding and coronation plans will be set in motion” She commented turning her head in the direction of their King.
Caspian allowed his gaze to rest on Evienne for a moment and he gave a small smile when she realised there would be a lot to organise when they did come home. He didn’t find that was a bad thing though. He was happy and he would be excited to be able to do that. He smiled. “We will be able to do that,” He said with a grin on his face, he really wanted it all to be spectacular.
He then looked out over the sea for a moment feeling the breeze ruffle his clothing and his hair which was refreshing for him. “We should reach the Islands soon..” He commented. He kept his hand around Eveinne’s and felt more comfortable knowing that she was close to him. “We’ll need to land to be able to restock the ship…and perhaps collect some other things,” Caspian mused. He wanted to be able find something for Evienne whilst he was there. He could see Eustace looking out at the sea over the main deck. “It’s rather small isn’t it? This boat?” Eustace asked. Caspian rolled his eyes but didn’t answer while Reepicheep began to speak to him. “Why don’t we play chess?” Caspian asked Evienne. He wanted to keep out of the way of the crew as they kept the Dawn Treader going and on an even keel.

Evienne gave a soft laugh as she heard Reep’s voice, at the question her eyes lit up and she still wasn’t able to stop her smile “Yes, I believe we should” She responded to Caspian, Evienne opened the door to the room stepping out of it leaving the door open so that Caspian could walk out. She extended her hand in his direction, her smile still not faltering. Edmund caught up with his sister, Eustace staying slightly back from the crowd “What’s going on?” Edmund asked noticing the way that she had her hand out to Caspian, a gesture that they publicly never really made. “Caspian would you like to tell them or shall I?”
Edmund and Lucy exchanged looked before they allowed their eyes to flicker between Caspian and Evienne. Reepicheep’s whiskers were twitching with delight and he couldn’t help the delighted look in his eyes as he saw how Caspian took hold of Evienne’s hand like she was the most precious thing. “Oh do tell us what’s going on!” Lucy said with a small smile on her face. Caspian wore a small smile as he kept hold of Evienne’s hand. “Well I have asked Evienne to become my queen and she has graciously agreed. We will of course hope to find Aslan on our trip so we may speak to him,” Caspian spoke. Eustace looked less than impressed by Lucy threw her arms around the two of them and Edmund gave a warm smile. Reepicheep seemed to be happy to. “I have no doubt that he will be more than happy for the both of you,” The mouse said watching as Lucy drew away from the two of them. “I hope that we’ll be able to go to Narnia with you. I would love to be able to help,” Lucy said clapping her hands. Caspian looked at Evienne and gave a small smile and then felt happier than he had ever done. “I do love you,” He whispered to her and then began to follow Edmund and Lucy towards the deck so that they were able to sit and talk in the sun.
Evienne gave a bright smile, she couldn't stop the smile. "We would love you to be able to join us" Evienne responded to Lucy's comment. Her heart was full of delight and she was sure no matter how hard this may become that Evienne knew that she would do all that she could to help the land and most of all help Caspian.
"I love you too" Evienne responded back in a whisper pressing a quick kiss upon his lips before following to the deck, hand in hand with Caspian. She was sure Eustace probably still felt as if this wasn't real though she knew soon enough he would come to realise that in fact it was. "I do hope Aslan says yes if you see him" Reepicheep commented his eyes bright. "I am sure that he will" Evienne replied to the knight. "When we get back wedding and coronation plans will be set in motion" She commented turning her head in the direction of their King.

Evienne smiled brightly at the mention of her becoming Queen, she wrapped her arms around his neck giving him a tight hug. “I’d love that” She replied in a whisper, she knew that Narnia needed a Queen sooner rather than later and after this quest was a good time to do so. “When we get back to Narnia that is one of the first things we are going to do, maybe Lucy and Edmund can be at the coronation?” She would love for the King and Queen of Old to be there, whether or not it was possible was another matter but she knew that it would be a special occasion, Narnia would be getting another royal beside Caspian,“ What about Aslan? We probably need his approval” No one had seen Aslan in years, which wasn’t a surprise but maybe he would appear on this quest, he always seemed to be there whenever Lucy had stepped foot in Narnia. She couldn’t stop the smile on her face, the bright and happy smile. She was unsure if she would get an engagement ring if that was something they did in Narnia, but Evienne didn’t care if not, it was now official. Her hands rest upon his shoulders “I love you” She whispered with an almost longing in her voice, before kissing him softly.
Caspian smiled when she agreed to be his queen. He would try and speak to Aslan when he saw him and with luck they would see him on this trip so he was able to ask him about it all. “If they are able to be I would want Edmund and Lucy to be there…as for Aslan I will ask him for guidance,” He spoke. The kiss was sweet and when she told him that she loved him he couldn’t help the smile that appeared. He looked at her for a moment and then smiled. “I love you too,” Caspian told her and then held her close not wanting to move away from her. He knew that they wouldn’t be able to stay like this for long though. His presence would be required and he would have to do his duties such as they were. “Come, we should go back to the others. I wish we could stay like this forever but perhaps after this voyage there will be more time for us to spend together,” He spoke He wanted to make things up to her as he knew that they would be rather busy during the voyage. “Caspian! Evienne!” Lucy called. Edmund and Eustance were close by but none of them had entered the room. “I believe the king went into this room to speak to the lady,” Reep’s voice came piping through the door and Caspian gave a small chuckle at the mouse. He was rather fond of the mouse. “Should we tell the others?” Caspian asked.
Evienne gave a soft laugh as she heard Reep's voice, at the question her eyes lit up and she still wasn't able to stop her smile "Yes, I believe we should" She responded to Caspian, Evienne opened the door to the room stepping out of it leaving the door open so that Caspian could walk out. She extended her hand in his direction, her smile still not faltering. Edmund caught up with his sister, Eustace staying slightly back from the crowd "What's going on?" Edmund asked noticing the way that she had her hand out to Caspian, a gesture that they publicly never really made. "Caspian would you like to tell them or shall I?"
