As soon as you entered the house the first room that you approach is the Peacock living room. I loved this room the most because of the stained glass in the room it just gives the house more flare. Lisa Marie Presley once stated in an interview that everything in this room is exactly where it was when Elvis was living there.
After we got our tickets we headed straight away for the tram to see the iconic King of Rock n Roll’s humble abode! :) Fun Fact: Elvis purchased Graceland for $100,000 in the spring of 1957 at the age of 22. Elvis had some homes in Los Angeles but Graceland was his primary residence nothing more like home sweet home southern hospitality.
Soooo .....I may have taken a day trip with my best friend to see Graceland! Totally worth it!!!
Next stop Memphis Tennessee ~
I could have stayed all day observing the Grand Canyon and never get tired of its amazing beauty.
At the Grand Canyon national park they have some museums and gift shops that you can visit. My husband and I decided to check out the HopiHouse gift shop located near the south rim of the grand canyon. I loved this shop because everything in the shop was handmade crafts created from the Navaho Indian Tribe.
When you travel you realize how much of the world, and yourself you have left to discover.
Grand Canyon ~ When we arrived to the grand canyon it was raining but after an hour of rain everything started to clear up and we got to see this jaw dropping view that’s been around for 6 million years.
We made it to the Grand Canyon National Park and it was Amazing!!!! I highly recommend everyone to visit the Grand Canyon at least once in their life time.
While your visiting Seligman AZ be sure to sign the Volkswagen Van that looks just like Fillmore from Disney’s movie “Cars”.
Since we were on a tour heading to the Grand Canyon we didn’t get to really fully explore all of Seligman but while we were there we did check out some of the shops that were along the strip.
So what can I say about this little town is that it inspired the Disney company to create the movie “Cars”. When walking around this town you can almost envision what it was like in it’s heyday. Seligman Arizona had such a charm about it that it makes you almost wish you lived in the sixties.
Next Stop was Seligman Arizona~ Get your Kicks on Route 66. :)
Hoover Dam Adventure~ Right behind us is the Colorado River.
After our time in Las Vegas we decided to take some time visiting the west coast. We took a tour to see the Grand Canyon in AZ. While on this tour we got to visit the Hoover Dam in Nevada.
On our very last day of the trip my husband and I decided to walk 5 blocks down to get our photo taken at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. I will say it was a very long line to get your photo taken but it was well worth it because you can’t go wrong with a neon sign in the background that is welcoming you to their city.
While in Vegas I had to get a photo in front of Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen!
