The painting on the bottom is my original painting, Abstract Sunset, and the top is the recreation I did onto canvas!

I am teaching a paint & sip next week, and since the original painting is on paper, I wanted to recreate it onto canvas. This would help me understand the steps to teach the class as well as have the painting on canvas for the students to reference.

I tested acrylic paint I found at Dollar Tree as well. The paint was amazing and didn't dry as fast on the palette which was surprising. The paint was thick as well which perfectly covered the sketch on the canvas that was from an abandoned project.

I really love how this painting turned out!! I'm so excited for this paint and sip!!

This is one of my favorite watercolor pieces. It's a Field of Lavender. I love how the colors flow in this painting. This is a small painting. I used some left over watercolor paper I had.

I definitely end up listening to the same five songs over and over again, but I really quite enjoy these ones! I've been obsessed with Everybody Scream by Florence + The Machine!! It's such a good album.

I can't wait for AAR's full album Sandbox that is set to release later this month. They are my absolute favorite band!

I do love making ACEOS or Art Cards, Editions, and Originals.

1) I did not know that artists traded art cards, and 2) I didn't know people sold them as ACEOs as well. I learned this on Tik Tok. I tried cutting some watercolor paper to the correct size and failed. My first batch of ACEOs were the wrong size. Another artist reached out and said I can adhere them to correctly sized paper and they would still count as ACEOS.

Today was a really rough day. I'm going to admit that I really don't like the process of making content. I made a pitch deck & then recorded myself presenting it. Several takes later, and I still didn't like it. It just tanked my self esteem. I burst into tears putting my laundry away.

I stepped away from it, showered and tried to remind myself this is part of the process.

I did still make art today. A couple watercolor pieces learning some new techniques. And I'm drinking Sprite and a Black Cherry Soleil which also helps.

I need to be kinder to myself.
