My current artistic endeavors. Currently 17 hours in but I estimate my completion time will be around 78 hours total. Oof.

I am trying to put together a selection of western pieces to submit for consideration for the Cheyenne Frontier Days art show - which the deadline to apply is the first week of October and I sold all my original pieces in July so now I gotta hustle and start from scratch. It’s been a time lol

Working on making an Arthur Morgan cosplay for Cheyenne Frontier Days. Still scouring eBay for the perfect pair of jeans. I am partial to the dark pinstripe denim jeans in RDRII - they’re always my go to for Arthur, so naturally I want them for this lol

Additionally, I bought some fabric to attempt a take on the blue opulent vest. Tested a waistcoat pattern and made a black one so far. I was torn between making it from a full-weight canvas duck cloth (bonus points for a more authentic look, but much much hotter to be outdoors in Wyoming July all day) or a lighter cotton canvas (much cooler, - bonus points for being a disappointing weight) 🤣

I’ve dyed the shirt a third time since this photo was taken and it appears to be a true blue to the one Arthur wears.

I learned how to make suspenders yesterday, too! Found a pretty close match of burlap trim at Hobby Lobby for the straps. It’s not identical to his, but close enough for a last minute budget project.

I also made a little (non canon) satchel for my sketchbook lol. Still need a strap and distressing.

I need to concoct four more outfits for the week, but those I think I’ll just hodgepodge with mixed accessories and call it a day. But I figured if I had an excuse to finally dress like Arthur, I was absolutely going to take it.

As soon as spooky season hits, I am making a replica of Isaac Night’s brown coat. I need it in my life and I can’t find any similar enough so I’ll obsess over what few clear photos we have to get it as accurate as possible. 🤣

I finally wrapped up with the art show I had been prepping for over the last couple of months. I am excited to share I sold five of my originals, a ton of prints and cards, and I was selected to be the featured artist for next year

I am extremely honored with the title, and am very excited to create the piece of artwork that will be used on next year’s advertising.

Additionally because I don’t think I explained lol but some of you may have noticed that I changed my username on here and TikTok and that is solely because I am a “professional” artist half the time and an unprofessional artist the other half. So by changing my name to something anonymous, it allows me somewhere to post my silly stuff. Instagram is the like middle ground where I post acceptably weird stuff, Facebook is purely the highs, while TikTok and tumblr are the scum pools where I post my hyperfixations and nonsense lol. Thanks for staying for the nonsense.

I’M SORRY I can only ship to the US right now, there is so much red tape involved with shipping internationally, I need to take time to figure it out how to do it correctly. I used to ship internationally before it got super complicated and I had a few packages go missing and after paying a hefty shipping cost out of pocket twice, it wasn’t a positive experience.

I reallyyy need to work on my gallery pieces for this summer but here we are, drawing Isaac for the upteenth time. 🤣 hey maybe I can smuggle an Isaac drawing into the gallery show and no one will notice lol

Obsessedddd with doing studies atm, (of Isaac only if we’re being honest lol) I adore this picture of him.

The goal of this one is to complete the portrait without using any brown. I have a habit of relying heavily on brown in my portraits when there are so many more hues to be used to create a more complex color system, especially in portraiture where greens, reds, and purples have so much impact.

So far I’ve replaced anything brown with a deep reddish purple and it already tricks the eye into perceiving it as brown. Color theory is wild lol. I am attempting to teach myself color theory because I refuse to pay to go to college to learn it lol

I have been working on this paint study for a few months now, taking long breaks from it when I couldn’t figure out what it needed. I finally got it to a place I can consider it ‘finished’ yesterday.

I really liked this stage of his reanimation, he was unhinged during this stage in a way he wasn’t at any other point in his transformation. Gross, feral, a little bizarre and pure Tim Burton. And the black teeth and goggles? Chefs kiss.

“Judi retired… Permanently.” >:D

I’ve included my zombie Isaac color palette if anyone needs one. 🤣 I have a full procreate color palette dedicated to him with various shades of greens, blues, reds, and purples. It makes sketching him so much easier to have a dedicated palette ready to go.

All done with the standard “plimsol” procreate brush.

A zesty gala Isaac sketch. Y’all I was supposed to work on my art show projects last night and instead I drew Isaac for two hours. AGH.

I know he never ✨technically✨ munched someone while wearing this outfit, but I like to think he found some snack while prowling around in the dark waiting for Pugsley.

I’m a sap for drawing blood what can I say? 🤣

A little art project I did in December for my vintage Victorian /oddities/miss Peregrine-esque living room decor. I want to hang fanart, but subtle fanart. I love illustrations of butterflies, and knew I wanted to have something like that amongst the gallery wall in a gilded frame.

As I began thinking of famous butterflies and moths in horror, I found that there are actually quite a few. The New England Corpse Moth isn’t exactly a “popular” option, but I included it to satisfy my own inner fangirl lol

5. Queen Swallowtail from Crimson Peak

For the New England moth, there are no good photos of them so I went off of blurry stills from the last couple episodes to try to get the pattern as close as possible.

The queen swallowtail may or may not be what is actually in Crimson Peak, but after attempting to research it and cross referencing the butterflies in the movie to various types I found, they were the closest match. Butterfly enthusiasts please don’t come after me 🤣

I got a bunch of vintage odd shaped frames last summer from a garage sale and have been waiting for the perfect pieces to put in them. I made this one to fit this narrow girl frame. After sketching the butterflies in graphite, I aged the paper with thinned alcohol ink, a mixture of brown and yellow, thinned with rubbing alcohol and applied with a paint brush.

I considered using tea, coffee, or watercolors but I didn’t want the paper to warp. Alcohol inks evaporate quickly and when saturating the paper, the warping is minimal.

I didn’t have much patience for the detail work last night lol work was longggg. Hoping to work on giving him his luscious curls on Sunday.

Still trying go determine if the background should be left white or shaded.
