[PART 1] I bought a physical sketchbook for the first time this decade and I have some feelings about it.

It's always rubbed me the wrong way a bit when I've heard other artists say that messy loose drawings are more authentic than polished ones. I think polished art is still authentic, it's just saying something different. My polished art authentically conveys my struggle to be good LOL

Anyway, I'm going in a very different direction for my hourlies this year. I've got some big angst about the nature of art and what it means to create it and I'm gonna use today to explore that so lock in for HCD: Insufferable Artist Edition

Happy Umineko Day! I've been watching NezumiVA's Umineko streams after doing a solo reading a few months prior and I've been having so much fun. I never got to catch the streams live because of the time difference, and I'm not caught up yet because I've had to work a lot on my comic lately, but I have enjoyed these streams SO much! Seeing everyone come up with theories has been really fun even though I couldn't join in. Marcie, your voice acting has been incredible and you deserve the world. Thank you <3

The first drawing is a super quick sketch of our beloved witch, and the second is an Umineko-inspired Drow I made for a D&D game I'll be playing soon. Her name is Aurantia (or-an-tee-ah) and she's the detective who will unveil the golden truth!
