I think I need a new mantra.

The old ones aren't working, especially when it's so easy to forget how much damage addiction can do and only remember the parts your brain wants you to miss.

There isn't anything romantic about it. It takes things from you little by little—your time, your relationships, your sense of self—until one day you realize how much you've lost.

I don't want to go back there.

I just wish people understood that addiction isn't entertainment, and it isn't a trend. It's people. It's families. It's years of someone's life. Recovery is hard enough without having to watch people turn your worst moments into something admirable.

Anyway. One day at a time.

Doing better little by little, thanks to all your kind asks💛 The three or them have been going through a lot of things for trying to help me, but it is thanks to them that I can still be proud of my choices until today

Sobriety.... Well, yes, it is hard, it is being hard lately, theres a lot of things going on that are making it even harder for me, having to read, listen and see people talking about addiction and drug usage as if it was a joke is not helping my withdrawal situationship, but at least I have Jean to try and make me come back to my senses
