It’s almost Halloween~! Or, well, close enough for her. Scraps is happily mending one of the old dresses from her trunk, hoping to fix it into something special to wear on the night of.

Happy birthday! Molly's brought you a variety of things- to start off , silver tinseled thread; as sparkly as it comes! Next, a... rock. Vaguely heart-shaped, though its probably closer to the anatomical counterpart. Finally, to top it all off, a little jar of sugar-candies!

"Oh my goodness! These are wonderful, darlin'! Thank you." Molly is rewarded by being enveloped in a tight hug. What a thoughtful little friend! "Y'all wanna share some of these candies with me?"

How Do You Need to Be Loved?

like a child loves the rain

you need to be loved in happiness and foolishness. a puppy love, a love so purely good, so full of happiness it makes your stomach ache. you need to be loved in a way that reminds you of the childhood you didn’t get to have. you need to be loved as if you’re feeling the rain fall upon your cheeks for the first time. refreshing, and clean.

((Okay so I know I've been obsessed with this song for the past week but it genuinely reminds me a lot of Scraps, especially her feelings about her creator, Veronica. It's actually what got me back to the blog. ^^;

"If you were with me tonight, I'd sing to you just one more time. A song for a heart so big, God wouldn't let it live."

Veronica died tragically young, and when she was still alive, Scraps did used to sing to and with her all the time. She would give anything to have that back, to get that closure of having a real goodbye and being able to give the person she loved the most a parting gift that meant something. Her creator's family was religious and while she isn't much anymore, she still feels angry and confused as to why a loving God would let her best friend die.

Her story is...really heavy for a happy show about imagination.))
