Theyâre smack in the middle of the crush of bodies on the dance floor, pressed chest to chest, Davidâs arms slung over Patrickâs shoulders and Patrickâs arms around Davidâs waist, his fingertips inching up under Davidâs sweater to get infinitesimally closer to him. He and David are dancing in a way that can really only be described as grinding, and his whole body is electrified with the thrill of being surrounded by gorgeous, sweaty men, while being allowed to actually touch the one in front of him wherever and however he wants.
Or, for Patrickâs 35th birthday, David takes him to his first gay bar.

Helping his mom set up her concert at the Toronto Pride Fest sounded to David like a small price to pay for a weekend in the city. But that was before he was roped into joining the performance, which featured one very snippy lead singer.

âEw, not you, David,â Alexis said, grabbing Patrickâs hand and yanking him along with her out into the street.
Alexis comes back to town for the annual Pride festival, spends the day palling around with her favorite brother, and comes out. Love that journey for her.
