Raorchestes travancoricus, variously known as the Travancore bushfrog, Travancore bubble-nest frog, or Travancore tree frog. #Nikond780 + #nikon40mm + #godoxtt685 + #radiantdiffuser For some time, R. travancoricus was feared to be extinct. It was rediscovered from Vandiperiyar in 2004 by researchers from University of Delhi. The reason behind almost all of the western ghat endemic species to become rare to sight is 'habitat loss or destruction'. But it's an interesting fact that now we are observing them getting used to cardamom and tea plantations which have replaced their natural vegetation! Thanks to @_sandeep_das_ for throwing some light on the traits. 🙌 (at GAVI,PATHANAMTHITTA) https://www.instagram.com/p/CaFr8fZPUfW/?utm_medium=tumblr
