We are all facing discrimination and we don’t need to do that to ourselves even further inside our own community

EVERYONE deserves support. Being trans and lesbian may be two levels of things to deal with discrimination from, but for the love of the good gay shit, that doesn’t mean cis lesbians don’t matter and don’t deal with shit.

We ALL matter and deserve help on EVERY level. That’s the point of pride.

Very very true. I personally just interpreted it as, well, y’know, trans women are women. You don’t have to be *cis* to be a sister, not that we shouldn’t support cis lesbians too. But the message can easily be taken the wrong way to mean that cis lesbians are bad when obviously, that’s not true by any measure.

The argument of "you can't discourse about xyz because you're not a member of the community" is a riot coming from the same people who not only imply but outright state things like "men can be lesbians", "you can just choose to be trans" and "you don't need trauma to have a trauma disorder".

I'm very tired of this blanket statement take of "if (member of oppressed community) tells you something is offensive/damaging then listen to them <3" because like. No. Yes, absolutely keep your mind open to understanding your own biases and accidental offenses. But have you ever talked to anybody before? People of certain groups have god awful takes on what's offensive all the time.

I dare you to find a single group that unanimously agrees on any single thing. I don't want cishet people automatically believing X is inherently offensive because the first LGBT person they came across said it was. I've been in the trans community for long enough that I don't want cishet people listening to the first trans person they meet about what is and isn't damaging to our community.

I encourage everyone, regardless of what group they belong to, to listen to tons of different people from a certain group. Even then, they need to do their own (proper) research and come to the conclusion they best agree with. Because the simple fact is that there is definitive answer to whether anything is damaging or offensive.

And because I guarantee you if a person is given incorrect information then that's going to be a whole lot more damaging. That's how you get people telling you, "um actually THIS person told me what you're doing/saying is wrong" and speaking over people of that group.

If calling out biphobia and telling the truth about bisexuality and how It's never excluded trans or nonbinary people hurts bigots than they are the ones who were in the wrong the entire time. I'm not here to coddle somebody's bigoted feelings, I'm here to raise my voice as a trans person against biphobia, bi-erasure and transphobia because unfortunately we're stuck having to constantly speak up since 20 years ago in 2002 the small and unknown pansexual community took advantage of the fact so many of our LGBT community leaders were taken by the AIDS crises and left a huge vacuum of knowledge about what bisexuality really means (attraction regardless of sex or gender btw) and inserted their own false and bigoted assumptions of bisexuality only being for cis m3n and woman and excluded trans people.

I have an excerpt from the pansexual live journal that started this and highlighted the not only biphobic language but the transphobic language meant to seperate and other trans people as well.

20 years later after this 🗑 was posted and I still hear the bigoted ideology alive and well when I get told "bi means two genders" or "you're nonbinary so your girlfriend is pan not bi" and the one someone told me yesterday "bisexuals only care about gender, not the person". If I have to hurt yours or anyone else's "feelings" to help end this gross biphobia that way too many people have gotten comfortable with than so be it. Sometimes I feel LGBTQ+ youth now a days takes LGBTQ+ representation for granted.

I'm gonna say it I grew up with no lgbtq+ representation at all... Now you maybe going

No. I'm 22 years old.

I grew up feeling alone, unseen and unrepresented. I felt bad about myself and there was no main media or idols that told me that I was normal. The only true rep I had at the time was Bugs bunny, Daffy duck and Gonzo.

then things started changing.

We saw more LGBT and it made me so happy knowing LGBTQ+ kids wouldn't feel the way I felt.

Then even more representation started happening! Something I thought I'd never see in my life time. Something people told me that I'd never see!

Celebrates were coming out and acknowledging LGBTQ+.

Youtubers were acknowledging us, coming out and there was Lgbtq+ content on youtube!

I'm gonna say it when I first heard thomas sanders say " Hey my guys, gals and nonbinary pals."

I cried hard with joy.

When I see queer representation I still cry because it fills me with joy knowing that kids will never feel the way I felt.

Then I noticed it..

LGBTQ+ youth taking for granted what I and many of us older LGBTQ+ always wanted.

For example the LGBTQ+ youth shredded the show SU for having sapphire in a tux and ruby in a dress at their wedding cause " it was erasing fem representation "

The Arthur episode were Mr.ratburn gets married got shamed because " There wasn't enough representation, their both twinks. "

Bugs bunny's unapologetic cross dressing was shamed.

Daffy duck was shamed for " promoting twink and queer sterotyoes "

The show she-ra was ripped apart for every reason up, down and every which way.

Gonzo got hate for not going by a label, calling himself a whatever and an artist.

Even in real life LGBTQ+ people get so much flack FOR DUMB REASONS. Some examples are:

Thomas Sanders was been repeatedly accused of " false activism " because " there are more labels then just nonbinary."

Fergie was despite being a bisexual woman was told she " fetishized " Queer relationships by being unashamed of talking about how much she likes doing it with women..

Lady gaga was shamed repeatedly for " using her identity for clout "

People said Elliot page isn't representing trans men well enough...

Even LGBTQ+ figures in LGBTQ+ history get sooo much flack for one reason or another normally small dumb reasons.

It hurts seeing the LGBTQ+ youth { mostly older teens } rip to shreds every bit of LGBTQ+ rep over every little thing. It at times feels like no representation may it be fictional or reak people will be good enough.

I'm just sitting there like what the heck???? Because this is everything I've ever wanted..

Everything that so many of us older people wanted and needed in our youth but never got just truly feels taken for granted by younger LGBTQ+.

I don't mean to whine or b🌼tch but it does make me see there is a divide there because any representation us older people got was a divine sent. You'd rewatch it over and over because there you were, represented and it felt so good.

I just wish that the younger LGBTQ+ could see how lucky that they are with all the representation that they get.

Oh wow, you really embarrassed yourself with that old and disproven biphobic argument. Let me break it down for people reading this since you're too embarrassed to show your face anon. Bisexualy has the prefix of "bi" not because it only includes two genders, but because it combines two sexual attraction patterns of Homo (same as) and hetero (different from) which when combined covers everyone regardless of sex or gender because it's not based on gender in the first place. But incase you're attention span is too short to read this, here's an easy to comprehend picture with an explanation.

Bonus Fact: Hey did you know that "pan" means all and its used in pansexuality because pansexuality was invented by Sigmund Freud to mean the " perversion of all emotional and sexual conduct" and meant people who have sex with animals, plants, inanimate objects, kids and the bodies of the deceased. If you think Bisexuality is in anyway restrictive than you need to work on your internalized biphobia and stop pandering to the oppressors who benefit from it.

How come every time someone makes a post talking about how toxic tucutes can be, some tucute has to run in and spam the notes with “BUT TRANSMEDS DO THAT TOO!! HYPOCRITE!!!”

Like yea, we know. We do our best to push them out of our circles and keep radical individuals away. Tucutes on the other hand never ONCE show any disapproval for their notorious suicide baiters and other abusers. Some even praise those who stalk, harass, bully, and suicide bait transmeds.

So why can we try and clear away the bad people, but you guys can’t?

I am currently mass-spamming LGBT blogs with dm’s begging them to raise awareness about the #ProtectRussianTransLives movement and the Russian government taking rights from transgender individuals. Quite frankly, this issue is long past being the issue of opinion, this is a question of transgender people losing their constitutional rights in the biggest country in the world. However, many people do not believe that transgender people in Russia are more important than their precious DNI.

In case you don’t know what I am talking about, stop reading this post and go and read this post that talks about Russia stripping away rights of transgender individuals.

I, a truscum individual, broke dozens of DNI’s in order to spread my message.

I am asking you not to go on their blogs and not to harass them. I leaving their usernames uncovered because I have a small platform and I expect it to treat them in a civil way. DO NOT harass these people. Their punishment for their ignorance is public humiliation, nothing more.
