me: well I saw a R129 SL500 right outside this building and it had the smaller license plate spot that North American spec cars have but I looked at the dials and they were in kilometers per hour, which leads me to think that it's a Japanese import because they have roughly the same license plate dimension as in the states/canada
girl: but
me: I know what you're thinking, don't the Japanese drive right hand drive cars? Well you see, expensive cars such as this R129 are usually imported in left hand drive in Japan because driving on the left side is a status symbol, much like having a YANASE sticker on your European car, those stickers can cost up to 100€! so I think that's cool that someone imported a car from japan, and it's also cool that it's a european car!! it came back home to europe haha
