omg THAT was what y’all were freaking out over? Did y’all miss THIS that happened right after??

I’m sure Yuuri just meant he wants to retire after this season. Plus, am i the only one who wouldn’t mind at all if he didn’t win? That’s real life, sometimes you work your ass off and you still don’t get what you want. But it’s ok. Isn’t that a more valuable lesson than the typical sports-anime-trope of always winning the BIG COMPETITION at the end? It’d be even more beautiful b/c they’re gonna get married anyway and Yuuri will realize that he’s won gold for life and it’s just as good.

They showed that a bit with JJ as well, that you’re not defined by your wins or losses but by the love in your life, whether it’s romantic, or familial, or from your fans, or just love for what you do and who you are.

This was a great episode and I’m not worried at all. I trust Kubo to give us a meaningful ending, whatever it may be. ♥
