I'm sure you're aware by now, but a second season is not coming. I am simply following the dopamine, and I did everything I wanted to do with Gothpod. Thank you for being here, thank you for being a fan. I had so much fun, I hope you did too.

I know you're still really small, but would you ever consider uploading to a podcast host? That way, people could listen on all podcasting apps. I'm thinking like having an RSS feed, but I understand thats a bit of an undertaking for a small production tho so it's not something you have to do!! I'm just kinda curious bc I don't use SoundCloud but I can always listen here and YouTube so it's no big deal. Sorry to bother

This is as good a time as any to explain what is happening!
So, I do not have a current plan for season 2. I have ideas! But, Technically, we are on hiatus for a undetermined amount of time.
The EXCITING bit that I can share with you, is that there is a project in the works. I'm hoping to take Goth Pod LIVE!!!!!!
I have written a script for 40(ish) MINUTES for a live show at a anime convention I plan on attending this July. I know, a long ways out. but I plan and prep when I'm nervous.
Whether this dream comes true or not, the script will be recorded and posted here on the blog!
Should this plan change, I will be sure to update y'all!

Juda: Hello everyone and welcome back! This is Goth-Pod, your Gotham based podcast. I am your favorite host, Juda Boone. And I am not alone today! Care to say hi?
Dick: Hello listeners!
Juda: Today’s episode is the last before our hiatus. So of course, we are doing what any competent media does when they want to be successful: Completely change up the formula at the very last minute.
Dick: And that's where I come in!
Juda: Yes, you are our very special guest star / co-host / interviewee for our finale.
Dick: And I am happy to be here. I totally binge-listened to all your episodes after you reached out to me. It was too good to pass up! I don’t think I’ve ever been on a podcast before? I like it, I get to wear big headphones and talk.
Juda: Why don’t you start out by just introducing yourself, for our non-local listeners.
Dick: Sure thing! I am Dick Grayson-Wayne, I am an Aries, I think. And I am single. If you happen to know someone.
Juda: [laughing] Okay, very helpful. And since we are an audio-based medium, it is my duty as a host to explain that Mr. Grayson just gave me a very tasteful wink.
Dick: We’re friends here, Juda. You can call me Dick.
Juda: With all the respect in the world I will not be calling you that.
Juda: Mr. Grayson, we actually have something of an important topic to discuss today. As you are now a Bludhaven resident, you have some insight on their vigilante, Nightwing. I was hoping you could tell the Gotham listeners a bit about the up-and-coming hero.
Dick: To be fair, I don’t know any more than the next guy. I’ve seen him around town, of course, especially on patrol. But I’ve never had the chance to actually talk to him. Guess that means I’m staying on the right side of trouble.
Juda: From what you have seen, what are some differences between Gotham's Bat and Bludhaven’s Nightwing?
Dick: The fashion sense, for sure!
Dick: He actually seems like a person rather than a- what was it you called Batman? In Episode 1, I thought it was great! Like a- an Earthbound spirit, right? And from what I hear the guy has a good sense of humor, unlike Batman. Probably a winning smile to go along with it.
Juda: hah! Mr. Grayson, we are not a gossip podcast, but to me it almost sounds like you have a crush.
Dick: woah, woah, hey now Juda, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I mean, give me a chance to get rescued by the guy. We’ll see if sparks fly then.
Juda: And if that happens, will you be back on the show?
Dick: You will be the first person I call, I can promise you that.
Dick: Juda if we are to be friends, I’m going to have to come clean on something.
Juda: Oh no.
Dick: It’s nothing bad! I just may have started us off on a lie, and I apologize for that.
Juda: I repeat: Oh no.
Dick: I said that I only listened to Goth-Pod after you reached out to me. In truth, I heard every episode at their release. [whispering] I’m the one who showed Bruce your Bruce Wayne episode.

I have my incredible co-writer and editor, Kit! We both love to write and create, and she's the one who keeps me on track.
You may have noticed, I am pretty verbose when the opportunity arises. Trimming ramblings into a cohesive script is a skill I've yet to learn as well as Kit. And she just so happens to be one of my best friends!
Kit isn't as fond of the public/ "on mic" side of things though, so that's why you all get to hear my voice so often!!
So for a few days now I've heard the Bat has acquired a weapon, Fear Toxic, the first time I heard it I thought it was just thugs having trauma, but the more I heard the more I believed it, it was always the same specific explanation, "a Batman engulfed in flames, as if he could control it", it may just be joke, but the more I hear, the more I believe, and personally am terrified to see what that monster looks like
I'm sending this ask over to Holly and Spence right now!!! That is oddly fascinating and amazingly terrifying, which is part of their specialty.
The Bat controlling flames would be a new one, but I wouldn't remove it from the realm of possibilities just yet.

Hello everyone and welcome back! This is Goth-Pod, your Gotham based podcast. You're listening to your favorite Fill in the Blank Here and host, Juda Boone.
Everyone, I want it to be known that I do try to keep most of my personal opinions out of our scripts. Even when I get off track, I try to offer a possible perspective, instead of what I perceive as 100% truth.
However, there is one topic that I can not be objective on.
I love Robin. I love Robin, he is our precious, tiny, baby, baby bird. He is a Joy and a Wonder. A Boy Wonder, if you will. He melts my heart every time I see any headline or blogpost or circulating photo.
He could be hog tying a man in an alleyway waiting for police pick up and I simply would want to pinch his cheek like an adoring relative.
I think part of that is, I grew up with Robin. I was a kid when he first appeared at the Bat’s side. I got to grow up knowing that there was someone my size, someone small and young but still strong enough to fight for what was right. It inspired and shaped me in a lot of ways.
But that’s the thing. I grew up. And from my memory, so did Robin. He got taller, he got stronger. Even in the shadowy pictures we have of the Bat and the Boy Wonder, there's a clear passage of time as the baby bird grows.
And now, as I step into early adulthood… Robin is small again. He’s almost back to the size from his first appearance in Gotham.
I find myself asking: Is Robin Immortal?
Is it a jellyfish situation? Did something stress out the young Robin so badly that he reverted to a younger stage of development? If that is the case, I do not want to know what could have been that bad.
I saw another podcast touch on the topic a while back- The Gotham City Tonight Podcast. And to be clear, I do not support their connection with Lexcorp. They’re actually being investigated after the Riddler called out a shady deal of theirs on air. Only in Gotham.
But, even with the clear slandering, we can pick through to something viable. I would never call Robin a demon, but the idea that he may be an entity specifically attached to Batman is an interesting thought.
Robin protects Batman just as much as Batman protects Robin.
Robins in nature are active during the day. And yet, here is our nocturnal bird, dutifully flying alongside a bat. Not of the same species, but of the same make.
Our precious oddity, remaining small so that another generation can grow up and know there is something that looks like them out there, keeping the city safe.

Welcome listener!! I'm so glad you're enjoying our little project!
I'm so excited about your interest and curiosity, so lets get into it:
1. In the Rogues Gallery Episode we discussed the concept of our beloved and loathed rogues, but didn't get to go into detail to any one specific being.
For our first season, we're going to continue on the belief that talking about one rogue might attract the attention of others. Maybe next season! When we can dedicate more time to getting details right. (And to keep the prideful at bay.)
2. Is that the one that theorizes Batman is a collective hallucination? A sort of self-severing specter to keep our own morals in line?
Or am I way off? Please feel free to send in another ask to explain it! I'm always curious to hear what's on the mind of our local listeners.
3. Anon, are you psychic? Have our end of season plans been leaked? Either way, your third question will be answered in Episode 9! (Releasing today!)
I was a goon for Poison Ivy and one time we got busted by Batman when we were in the Police Vans he was one the roof talking to a Cat Lady (furries in love?) Robin went like "gross stop flirting" and the while van gasped. I can't believe Batsy would do Brucie like that. 😞
Everyday- EVERYDAY I get closer to wanting to be a gossip podcast.
I go to Kit and I go "Please!! Please can we do a Gotham Rumors episode??"
And Kit says no and says there's enough dogs in the media hounding for the next scandal and we deal with truths in Gotham and etc etc..
Of course Kit is right. But, at the same time, gossip was one of the first pillars of communication. A place for people to share ideas and ideals when they normally couldn't. There's a reason you tell your best friend things you wouldn't tell anyone else.
What I'm trying to say: thank you for compliment, and thank you for the intel. I find it highly valuable and incredibly entertaining!
But, we must be careful when discussing things we might not have the full story for.
