The iconic women of the DC Universe have seldom looked bolder or more beautiful than they do in these pin-up illustrations by Ant Lucia, which have been making the rounds online recently. And now, Quantum Mechanix is releasing 10 of them as art prints. We’ve got an exclusive first look, including a few you’ve never seen before.

We’ve featured a ton of collectibles from QMx before, including Art Nouveau Firefly prints, but these are still pretty special. According to QMx, “Each DC Comics Bombshell will be rendered on a museum quality 18”x24” art print and will be priced at $14.95.” You can preorder the first five prints (Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Batgirl, Stargirl and Mera) today, and another five will be available for preorder in about a month.

There it was. Those words that confirmed her thoughts that really didn’t need confirming. This Barbara didn’t know who she was at all. She’d known that, yet it still felt weird hearing those words from her past partner. But she knew, the first time they had met, Babs was already Oracle and Cass was already Batgirl.

Did that mean… this Barbara was still Batgirl? It had to, didn’t it? Unless alternate universe was still a thing and she had never been Batgirl or something like that. But, no, it had to mean she was still BG. And if that were true, then, she’d probably be in a bit of trouble if she planned to continue the vigilante thing here. After all, just recently the city’s police had issued an order of arrest on Batgirl, a way the scientists had planned to challenge Stephanie, but she simply ditched the bat and continued on. If that was still true and didn’t just apply to her or stop after she acted as they had wanted, then if Barbara showed up as Batgirl…

The police would be after her instead of Stephanie. Of course, she knew Barbara could easily handle herself, just… if you could avoid being hunted down by the police, you would, right? This whole thing was pretty much her fault too, so she felt a little guilty. Then there was this whole lying thing and it wasn’t like she could just run off now, that’d seem totally weird. And then what if she like saw her in the donut shop? What would she do then? Even now she felt all strange inside. Okay, there was obviously only one option and for now, she’d have to take it.

Hopefully this didn’t mess up a dimension or something…

"Okay, I’m sorry, this is going to be really weird, but… One, are you from Gotham? Two, do you know who Batman is? And three…"

How was she supposed to say this one. Ugh, they really needed a universal “Hey, you can trust me, I’m a bat!” sign. Steph sighed and finally continued.

"… Are you Batgirl."

Yep, that definitely didn’t make you seem weird at all! Y’know what you should do, Steph? Tell her her entire life story! Tell her things that you, a stranger she’s never met before, should not know! That’ll totally make her trust you!

Barbara was certainly surprised to hear Stephanie mention Gotham. She couldn't imagine the chances that there would be two people here from the same dimension- unless, she thought, the scientists running this place were pulling from the same places for some express purpose? But no, that couldn't be, could it? If she and Stephanie were truly of the same universe, why didn't she recognize her? Sure, Gotham was a big place, but-

But this girl knew Bruce? Barbara made a point to keep her face straight when she heard the girl utter the alias, Batman, she said. How could she know about that? Well, certainly, anyone living in Gotham would know who Batman and Batgirl were, so perhaps it was just a coincidence? Perchance this was just some curious citizen of Gotham wondering if, by their luck...

But why would she ask Barbara, of all people? What about her gave any indication that she was even from Gotham in the first place?

If this girl recognized her, which she seemed to, why did she make the connection to Batgirl? She was going to have to go about this very, very carefully. Though in this city it may not have a consequence to out Bruce's identity, they could be transported back to their own dimensions at any point in time, for all they knew. 

She smiled, keeping her amiable tone.

"What gave it away? I am from Gotham. Lovely place, right?" She laughed a bit, obviously joking about the last part. "My dad is the Police Commissioner there. He talks about Batman sometimes- the vigilante, right? Running around at night, leaving criminals tied up for the police to deal with? Yeah, I know of him."

She tilted her head and narrowed her eyes slightly, brow furrowing. "What would give you the idea that I'm Batgirl? A lot of people have red hair you know."

Barbara stepped quickly and quietly through the streets of Sector Five. She breathed in the city, which stirred ever so slightly even at night- not like the other districts which were downright war zones at this hour. She would deal with those Sectors when she had more time (or rather, more backup). 

She had made careful notes of the outlay of the city. She hadn’t quite finished yet, but she figured she might as well patrol the Sectors she knew well enough. She wanted to help keep this city safe, since she had been forced to abandon her own. Her purpose in life was justice, and she knew crime existed wherever people dwelled. 

She crept down an alley, crouched slightly, keeping to the walls because that’s where the shadows hit just right to mask her from view- or so she thought. She flipped around quickly upon hearing the unfamiliar voice, muscles tensing, ready for a fight. She kept her arms by her sides, but her fists were clenched. She scanned through the dark for a moment before she caught sight of him. 

Oh, god, she thought. Ninjas are such a pain in the ass. 

"And who exactly are you to tell me that, sitting right in front of me like this? It’s not like you’re practicing what you preach."

Now that he got a good look at the girl, Sasuke had to quietly chuckle. Not because of her costume—which was curious, but he’d seen stranger since arriving in the city—but because of her attitude. Clever, going straight for the hole in his logic.

"You could say that I play by a different set of rules. But… think about it, for a moment."

"I’m not the one hiding my face, and looking that much more suspicious, now am I?"

Not that he really cared who she was. The bigger question, was what exactly she was doing wandering the streets. True, she may not be trouble at all, but until proven otherwise, he preferred to play it safe and assume the worst.

"But… who I am isn’t really important. I’m just your friendly neighborhood shadow, doing what he does best." What that was, exactly, we just don’t know.

Even from under a cowl Barbara didn't look impressed. You'd think that being transported to another dimension where no one even knew who you were would be enough to get you away from the people who thought they could tell you what to do. 

"If I didn't wear a mask," she explained, "I could be targeted in my everyday life for the things I do after dark. Or worse, those with whom I associate could be put in danger. I, uh. I fight crime. I'm a vigilante, if you have those where you come from. And around this city, without a police force, it seems like that's something that's more than necessary."

"And, pray tell, what is it that you're doing out here in the middle of the night?"
