HOLIDAY FROM REAL â Alybriel
alienbabe1x1s:
Aly was never the type to plan ahead. Some would say she lived in the moment; others would claim she was âwasting her potentialâ. At least, thatâs what her mother would consistently remind her on the rare chance the blonde would answer her calls. If potential meant settling down in a small town in the south, working at a 9-5 job that made you want to bathe in chloroform, a husband who was secretly banging his secretary 3 days of the week and a couple of kids who get to watch their parents slowly grow to hate each other - then sheâd waste it for as long as possible. Sure, reality television wasnât a road she had thought sheâd venture on but when life gives you lemons, right? Besides, living in a lavish house, eating other peoples food and getting a hefty check every two weeks just to watch her roommates over react to eating each others leftovers was too good of a deal to pass up.
The auditioning process was simple enough, she answered a few questions, did a few screen tests, just like the online ad explained she would. Before she knew it she was on a plane to Hawaii, laying out in the sun and day drinking with men who liked to talk about their workout routine and fitness shakes (the one downside, so far.) After spending an hour listening to Bryan or Ryan or something along those lines, she wanted to explore. So pretending to slip out for a smoke, she made her way out the back door and found herself walking towards a line of shops not far from her new home away from home.
After deciding she should eat something while she had the chance to do so without a camera lens on her, she settled on a little rice bowl place, something quick and easy. Not that she was too concerned with them telling her off; most work places had a three strike policy for rule breaking, so if she was going to use a strike she might as well make the most of it. Leaning against the counter in her white tshirt and cut off denim shorts, that despite being new, looked worn and was specially decorated with strategically placed holes; she placed her order. She hasnât even noticed someone was behind her until an unfamiliar voice chimed in. She would have thought it was just a stranger being chivilrous if she hadnât turned around. Once she did though, she vaguely recognized his face as one that was usually hidden behind a camera.
âCoke is fine.â She replied, offering him a look that could easily been seen as a combination of amusement and accusational. âAre you following me?â The blonde asked, her tone light since he was buying her food after all. If he was doing his job at least he wasnât being an ass about it. She couldnât for the life of her remember his name. She felt kind of bad, but it wasnât a superiority thing. She was more of a facial recognition person, and she wasnât entirely sure that theyâd even been introduced before. What seemed like only a minute later, their food was being handed to them in round, plastic containers. She swiped one of the cokes and turned all the way around to eye the man buying her meal. Â âWhat do I owe you?â She asked quizzically when he handed his card over. Monetary value clearly wasnât the goal here so she was more curious than anything to see what her âcoworkerâ was up to.
Gabe nodded as Aly gave confirmation she'd take the Coke. On one hand, it was a win for him that he got her something she liked. On the other hand, he just cheated himself out of having another Coke for later. 'Win some, lose some' he noted, trying to put it in perspective since he still was having lunch with her. Most likely. He was somewhat shocked that the blond proceeded to offer him money back for buying her the food. No one really asked him that when he'd pay, it was just always assumed he'd cover it. Then again, Aly didn't really know him after all.
"Oh, uhh," Gabe started, looking at his card to snag it from her and put it in his wallet, "nothing. You don't owe me any money." He promised, putting his wallet back in his pocket as his other hand waved itself between them to help show he was declining her offer, "That's really cool of you to ask, though. Everyone just thinks that 'the guy has to pay for everything' so that was... yeah. It was cool." Gabe commended, smiling at her as he reached to get his food container. Considering the food was given in a way that they didn't have to sit down, he knew he would have to actually ask if she wanted to. For all he knew she wanted this time for herself, but it was nice to be able to talk to her. She was one of the many that he had shared many hours with, except there was no talking between them during it.
"Not that you owe me to stay, but I was going to eat here. We have this whole island but we can only go where we have the rights to film, so it feels really restraining. I know you know that, but yeah. Us crew dudes have to follow that, too. For the most part." Gabe explained, not taking in to any factor that he may have been rambling while doing so. He took a few steps back and to the side so the people that just came in were able to order for themselves, "Basically, if you want to eat here, too, I won't tell anyone," Gabe promised, walking backwards to face Aly as he went towards a free and clean small patio furniture looking tables to sit at, "We still have like forty minutes before people might start missing either of us."
