The Pantheon, Rome
Built between 25 and 27 B.C. by the consul Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa and was completely rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian between 118 and 125 A.D., it is thought to have been designed as a temple for Roman gods also it has the world’s largest unreinforced concrete dome. It houses the tombs of the Italian kings Vittorio Emanuele II and Umberto I as well as the Renaissance painter Raphael.
