I think this grossly ignores that in the west, shota has been used as an abbreviation for shotacon, and IS used in a sexual context. Like, you can explain how it’s supposed to be used, but that’s not how Westerners use it. They use it in a sexual context all the fucking time, so for us who do get grossed out by it to voice our issues, seems very legit. In general, if you’re not Japanese and speaking Japanese, there’s no reason to be using Japanese terms because it creates issues like this. And I will still say that anyone using it on my dash will immediately get unfollowed.

As an update, I have gotten tumblr to terminate a lot of lemonteaflower's child porn "art" that was posted here. Terminated as in all of the reblogs are gone, too, which means my reports have been successful thus far and lemonteaflower has gotten e-mail notifications of a "Content Policy Violation" from tumblr support saying that "We do not allow inappropriate content involving minors on Tumblr" upon mass termination.

And...this second image, for anyone seeing post, is an image of scott pilgrim depicted as a prepubescent child crying while someone else penetrates him. It's absolutely horrific. Huge, huge warning for pedophilia if you choose to point your browser there. Her entire account there is filled with drawn child porn, some of which features 13 year old children. Is Tumblr’s beloved Miss Officer and Mr Truffles fanart meme all just a scam? Fanartist Ami Guillen, lemonteaflower on Tumblr, saw her adorable fanart of a real Canadian policewoman and her bear companion go viral earlier this year.
But after launching an ambitious $80,000 Kickstarter to turn the meme into an animated series, Guillen has come under fire from Tumblr users.
Before she had the username lemonteaflower, Guillen went by the name livethefaggotry. Her Society 6 shop and her Redbubble shop, at which she sells products from the Miss Officer and Mr Truffles project, both still use the old handle in the url.
And artist potentialforart posted to her Tumblr Tuesday to speak out on behalf of artists whom she claimed had been abused, overworked, and underpaid as part of the project.

I could care less about the kickstarter since, realistically speaking, it's not going to reach its goal of 80k anyway, but this was kind of an interesting (and sad) read in the midst of this disaster. I'm surprised a news outlet got ahold of this wreckage.
This is not related to the drawn child rape fiasco, but I thought I'd post this regardless. Well, this certainly wouldn't be the first time someone on tumblr made a mockery of "good representation" to score some SJ points without even doing enough research to accurately portray the culture they're trying so hard to represent. This is an inverse of the racism that Rachel Rostad, a chinese woman, has criticized with regard to western portrayals of asian ethnicities by tacking on any "universally asian-sounding" name to asian characters when there are a multitude of languages across the continent that need to be researched based on the ethnicity you are portraying. Identity politics that are devoid of close research are bound to fall flat when you try to shoehorn in shoddy attempts at "poc representation" to get ass pats. Do your research, because not all attempts at representation are as progressive as tumblr would have you believe, and this one is an example of that.
By the way, I don't care if LTF goes to prison and that was never the purpose of this blog. I just thought the blog title would add a hint of light-hearted humor to such a depressing situation. But, anyway. The purpose of this blog is to warn tumblr about hosting these things on their site which can put the staff in a legally dangerous area. They don't deserve that, not that LTF actually cares.
It has come to my attention that lemonteaflower's rabid fans are even resorting to spreading lies about me to sensationalize their blind support because they know that LTF is not defensible for posting illegal images at this point. They're desperate for validation and they're never gonna get any of it. I have never sent death threats and I have never encouraged others to do that, nor would I even. But I have received death threats from her pedophiliac drones who are foaming at the mouth because I was brave enough to report her and keep a document of this with help from others who care about not only the law but the fact that CSA victims and children don't deserve to see an adult fetishize drawn depictions of children's bodies being raped, though. I delete angry messages on sight because they don't offend me. But, none of that is relevant. This is about reporting all of this to tumblr so tumblr won't face legal ramifications for allowing this to be hosted on their website. None of your petty vendettas about me reporting an artist you like actually matter, and that's not the point. I don't hate LTF because she's not worth expending that type of emotion upon from me, but I do hate what she did. I've reported many other instances of drawn child pornography on this site that I have seen and have gotten them taken down or entire blogs terminated by tumblr. Artists on this website have gotten their blogs deleted by tumblr for publicly displaying this type of imagery because others have reported them.
It's particularly surreal to see the lengths people will go to defend someone who did something horrific and illegal that affects all children and CSA survivors (and there's so much of it that many of you haven't seen). Amid the other things people are getting up in arms about, if there's one thing that anyone is completely justified in opposing with regard to LTF, it would be, you know, the one thing she did that is actually illegal. Posting those graphic images on websites based in the USA is not legal. And on the matter of having "artistic, scientific, or political" value? LTF's drawn images were nothing but sexual, having no other purpose but to arouse other people who fetishize this kind of crap, so no one who has to adhere to U.S. law will realistically believe they have any of the aforementioned values as people have already faced prison time for what LTF has done. I'm not making this up.

Section 1466A of Title 18, United State Code, makes it illegal for any person to knowingly produce, distribute, receive, or possess with intent to transfer or distribute visual representations, such as drawings, cartoons, or paintings that appear to depict minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and are deemed obscene. This statute offers an alternative 2-pronged test for obscenity with a lower threshold than the Miller test. There are also laws to protect children from obscene or harmful material on the Internet. For one, federal law prohibits the use of misleading domain names, words, or digital images on the Internet with intent to deceive a minor into viewing harmful or obscene material (See 18 U.S.C. §§ 2252B, 2252C). It is illegal for an individual to knowingly use interactive computer services to display obscenity in a manner that makes it available to a minor less than 18 years of age (See 47 U.S.C. § 223(d) –Communications Decency Act of 1996, as amended by the PROTECT Act of 2003). It is also illegal to knowingly make a commercial communication via the Internet that includes obscenity and is available to any minor less than 17 years of age (See 47 U.S.C. § 231 –Child Online Protection Act of 1998). The standard of what is harmful to minors may differ from the standard applied to adults. Harmful materials for minors include any communication consisting of nudity, sex or excretion that (i) appeals to the prurient interest of minors, (ii) is patently offensive to prevailing standards in the adult community with respect to what is suitable material for minors, (iii) and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value for minors. In addition to facing imprisonment and fines, convicted offenders of federal obscenity laws involving minors may also be required to register as sex offenders. Furthermore, in some circumstances, obscenity violations involving minors may also be subject to prosecution under federal child pornography laws, which yield serve statutory penalties.
Please, don't take this risk. If you do, you are putting yourself in a position to face some consequence and they're not going to be something that can easily be overcome, legally if they are reported to authorities or socially. Don't do what LTF did. It's far too risky, especially if you're a legal adult like she is.

And these laws aren’t going to go away, in fact, they are expanding. The United States lags behind other first world countries on this, but they’re slowing catching up.
Please keep arguing about how publicly displaying drawn explicit child rape and child porn on sites in the U.S.A. maybe probably won’t cause people to face legal consequences when more often than not, it does if someone reports them to authorities, and someone shouldn’t even want to put themselves in that position in the first place. Like, why take the risk? Be smart, and safe, and if you’re going to draw that shit, don’t put it in places where minors can access them. I wish someone in LTF's clique would've prevented her from posting these on a public site where children have access. She could've avoided all this if someone she's friends with would've nudged her.
