" I have a few things in mind, " a soft giggle escaped her. " we could head to the pool, wander through the marketplace, take a walk through the gardens ... " a pause follows, as her smile turned a bit more mischievous, " or we could stay here and blame it on the jet lag ? " hinting at the idea of stealing a little more time alone together, though she knew herself well enough to know she wouldn't be able to sit still for too long.
LUCK ALWAYS SEEMED TO FIND HIM, graham isn't sure it's deserved. he knows full well he doesn't deserve a girl like alessia; smart, kind, too good to be true. while they may not have won the show, he feels like that same stupid cliche he'd said while cameras were in their faces — i feel like i won either way. and it's the truth. eyes flit down to hers, brow raising with interest at the prospect of ideas. alessia is the one with the plans, he's the one willing to go along with them at all costs. low hum as he thinks - thoughtfully, wistfully almost, continuing to sway. “as much as i'd love to spend all the time cooped up here with you,” a grin of his own replaces inquisitive expression, toothy and mischievous as mind fills up with things he shouldn't say out loud. “i think jordyn would kill me if i didn't show my face at least once within the first 72 hours.” his beloved cousin would, of course, make his life hell because of it. “could always do the garden first, yeah? if we find it to be too boring we can come back here .. make use of the time we have together while everyone else is preoccupied.”

BORDEM. always lingering above like a bad storm cloud threatening to ruin his day, bordem is never a good thing for a guy like him — all bravado and anxious energy at the entire thing. graham isn't known to sit still. quite the opposite. it comes with energizer bunny energy, losing things and trying to make it right. losing his key within the first 72 hours was not on the agenda. flips the entire estate upside town as much as he could without looking entirely off-putting, graham admits defeat and approaches the counter, silent sigh leaving his lips. the other is quiet; that's fine with gray. watches from the corner of his eye as elio downs the drink, pondering if he should do the same. “they fuck up your stay already, or you lose your key like i did?”

THE STORY IS, admittedly, a little funny. totally something he would do just to piss someone off if given the chance. “oh, so what you're saying is i should break out the guitar i totally brought with me?” graham ellington is a lot of things — many of them are not good, but musically inclined is not on that list. wonders which sibling got the artist gene. “i'll have you know, me and my girlfriend did great karoke for our challenge. could renact it for you, if you'd like.”
IF HE'S NERVOUS, he can only imagine how essie must be feeling; truth be told, it feels as if he's throwing her to the wolves a bit. there's only so much graham can say or tabloids she can read about the family instead of being with the first-hand. and he feels so .. different. out of place, most times, within the unit that it's even harder to gauge how much he should be telling her. arms slink around her waist from behind as they stand in front of the mirror, resting his chin atop her head. “so,” is how he starts, swaying them slightly as his brain wrestles with itself. “any idea on what you want to do first?”

SOMEHOW, he always finds himself into scenarios like this — though it could be worse. he could be chasing off paparazzi again, nearly crashing his car into theirs just for a semblance of payback. but there's no need to graham to do that. instead, he lifts the sunglasses to his head and thinks. “well it's not like you need to decide now,” that part is only kind of true. he's scared for whatever his brother and his soon-to-be-wife have in store for the rest of the summer. left one reality show for another. “why would you prepare cocktails when you can just .. have them made for you?” says the rich boy. “seems way easier, no offense.”

while not planned and maybe not entirely unwanted, graham approached the world like he owned it. a tiny terror ever since he could walk — there wasn't a woman at one of his mothers various parties he wouldn't charm, there wasn't a friend of his dads he wouldn't make laugh. there was hardly someone considered a stranger. baby of the family, there was very few things he couldn't get away with without something else catching his parents' attention (big company, his fathers various wives, whatever) and more importantly, gray was always looking for laughs.
thrives on connection, but flourishes on attention. graham knows that he should be more like most of the rest of his family – focused on their career, focused on keeping the family name pristine. but that is so … boring. he hates being bored; rather claw own eyes out about it. flies through school ages getting in trouble, doing everything he can to keep people looking at him and not anybody else. any fleeting aspect of attention was his m.o. in a bid to get him to calm down, graham was placed into anything that could make him get all that excess energy out. he's okay at sports, but doesn't like to follow the rules. he likes the idea of stories in theatre, but can't carry a tune.

the show couldn't come at a better time — some stupid comment in a live stream has graham in hot water, now forced to put his phone away and live in the moment. he turned the charm on as soon as the camera's came around. while he wasn't exactly a fan favorite, his romance was enough to land them in second place come the finale a few months ago. ever since, he's gotten a better reputation as the puppy-love-sick boy, head over heels for his show partner. keeping up with that image has been relatively easy, following the brands as they follow — boss, ralph lauren, new balance, beats, etc. it's easy to work with his go-with-the-flow kind of personality than it is to uphold one that he never was going to be in the first place.

nicknamed gray — as a young toddler, he couldn't exactly pronounce graham. while it never really stuck, he still finds it a cute anecdote.
gives very much little brother core; untrained puppy in the house vibes. vibrates with excitement but ruins every moment he can on accident. he'll do anything to ease tension in the worst way, make a scenario worse without meaning too. he means well — but was never taught how to be .. normal, in that sense.
he's very geeky in a sense you wouldn't expect. he'll start spouting some random science facts that no one but him really cares about, or talk about some kind of niche fandom he found on a wikipedia deep dive. blindingly emotionally intelligent that never translated to his actual work. always a ‘pleasure to have in class’ followed by a ‘needs to follow directions and complete work’.
remembers little details about people but hardly their name or face. he'll remember a birthday but won't remember who's it is. remembers a favorite order, but forgets which ex it's from.
kind of a player but not .. on purpose. he falls in love hard, and exceedingly quick. it's easy to distract himself with someone directly in front of him than it is to spend too much time about how maybe (yes, he is) disappointing his father and family name.
very much a mamas boy; while he never struggled to leave her side, he would always return to her quicker than most other kids his age. sought out comfort rather than daredeviling for the longest time.
eerily easy going and willing to do just about anything for a laugh, good time, or lasting memory.
