So I realized ereyesterday that the reason The Six Duchies sounded familiar to me when I was first reading ROTE was because of the Webtoon Heir's Game (by the great artist @suspucomics), but I wasn't sure. So I started reading it again "just until I can see if it's also called six duchies in the Webtoon" and around 20 episodes in it turned out to be The Four Duchies. So I was like "wow weird coincidence so cool that two of my favorite stories have similar settings in both government system and name". And then I just got to a Q&A episode near the end (Because of course I ended up rereading the whole series in three days again it's too good not to) and Suspu (the author) CITED ROBIN HOBB AS A MAIN INSPIRATION. I literally shouted "I KNEW IT I KNEW IT" and probably scared my dog. It's so cool that a story that affected me so deeply was inspired by yet another story that would go on to affect me.

It's hilarious to me that Beloved has faced gay allegations at least in two different roles. As Lord Golden, more masculine role, everyone thought he had a thing with his man servant Tom Bedgerlock. When in more of a feminine role of Amber, she faced rumours of having a thing with Althea. I guess you can't really hide who you are.

I think The Magnus Archives might be the strongest hyperfixation I've ever had. I mean, it is at very least the longest (I first listened to it in ~2021/22, I've listened to it ~10 times) This might be the very late at night talking but I just saw a jonmartin animatic and I realized just how much tma has become a part of how I think. Jonathan Sims and Martin Blackwood are about as familiar to me as my fucking sleep paralysis demons. It's hard to describe,.also because I'm very tired. It feels so ingrained into my psyche that I don't need to think about it, the characters of Jon and Martin aren't characters I'm observing, but characters I'm already familiar with in a way that I don't even need to think about their characterization, like comedia del arte

Everyone is fan casting Carl from Dungeon Crawler Carl and I can't see any of them because I simply do not picture this man being more than a 7. I have always pictured him as very average looking, and even a bit pudgy at first before the dungeon. That man is not jensen ackles, not just because jensen ackles is in his 50s, but also because Carl would not be attractive enough to be an actor in Hollywood. I love the character, and I think he could be attractive, but I just can't picture him as Hollywood Attractive, y'know?

Finally a hand sewing tutorial on a hemline that isn't just the ladder stitch! the ladder stitch disappears when you tighten it, but it's not meant for hemlines because it breaks really easily! The overlock stitch is more stable, so it holds much longer, and it won't pucker or warp the fabric!
