THE GYM was probably the third place one would be likely to find him if he wasnāt at his apartment or his hide out. He liked working a Kinsenthetic workout and aside from his morning jogs, he figured there was no better place to do it at than the gym. He grew quite fond of the owners at a small one near the subway station and he figured his jog to and from the Gym was a great warm up and cool down. Keeping in shape was a big thing for him, considering the copious amount of sports he did in high school. He wonders if it would make sense for him to join some recreational soccer team or maybe a lacrosse team.ā Did they even have those here? He never realized how truly ignorant Ā he was over his home country until he finally stepped foot on itās soil.
He stops into a convenience store, looking for some type of protein and something to drink. Ironically, he chooses three different types of Samgak Kimbap, and a liter of water before taking them up to the counter and waiting behind some stranger in front of him. However, itās when they donāt have enough to cover the costs, that Yeong throws down the remaining amount with his usual smile before setting his food on the counter.
areum didnāt know if she was tired because of keeping her area in check or because of keeping seulki in check. they were like sisters, there was no doubt about that, and seulki was a great leader if she could say so herself, but she was also very much a child. their lull nights often consist of them crying together at dumb movies, or her stopping seulki from committing murder because of the movie. and with the gang business going around, everyone was on edgeāincluding her. perhaps the only thing keeping her going at the moment is the fact that her mother had sent her a nice message when areum finally sent her money for her everyday necessities. areumie, save the money for yourself, she said to her but she refused; after all, she was doing this for her mother to live a comfortable life.
in any case, she was at the convenience store to pick up a few stuff. she hadnāt had the time to go grocery shopping and just when she was about to eat dinner, her fridge was empty of everything but alcohol. making a mental note to go grocery shopping the day after, she had gone straight to the convenience store and get herself a few stuff to tide her over until she found the time for herself. but it was just her luck that she didnāt have enough to pay for the things (and food) she bought. and just when she was about to ask the cashier to cancel a few of the things she bought, someone had paid for the remaining amount. surprised, she turned around and saw some guy smiling at her. fuck, why?, she thought instead. āthank you,ā she mumbled lowly, taking her stuff, before looking away. ādonāt think this is going to happen again.ā
