Alexei and I are going to meet Megan, Noah, and Rosie for lunch in an hour. Ms. Chancellor walked in on me and Alexei in the middle of a very passionate kiss and let's just say, I'm not allowed to close my door when I have him over anymore.
Of course, Alexei, as always, was super chill about it. When she came neither of us noticed at first. Then she put a hand on my shoulder and I jumped.
Alexei just said "Hey Ms. C."
Like nothing happened at all.
I'm not sure how he does it. Then, Ms. Chancellor went into a very long lecture about not wanting to be a grandmother yet, because yes, she is family too. I am not sure why everyone thinks I'm going to get pregnant. I mean, we JUST got done with all the quick, thinking it was our last one, kisses. I am NOT ready for anything more than kissing. At all. Alexei knows that too. And he is completely fine with it.
Anyways, I am outside the Russian Embassy waiting for Alexei, to come out when I get a text from Noah:
Hey! U guys still coming?
I reply:
Yeah. You know Alexei and his hair.šWaiting for him now.
Noah says "K" and then Alexei is coming out the doors and I can't help it, he looks so handsome. He's wearing a red polo and jeans, his newly shaven face looking so fresh. When he gets to me I kiss him long and sweet.
When we pull apart he asks, "What was that for?"
I simply reply, "For being you." Then grab his hand and start walking toward the little cafƩ on the corner of Gallagher Street.
When we're halfway there, he says "Gracie, have I told you how beautiful you are?"
I blush and say "No. No one has ever said I'm pretty."
"Well I think we need to change that. You're more than pretty. Your gorgeous Grace Blakely," he states, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "That's not even what made me notice you. You're amazingly smart, adventurous, you have the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known, and you're breathtakingly beautiful."
I stop and look at him. Then I kiss him. Because what else can I do when someone has just made a speech like that? He kisses me back and it seems to go on forever. Then I realize we are in front of the cafƩ and pull away. Noah and Megan just walked up.
"Enjoying ourselves, are we?" Noah teases.
"Shut up, Noah." I say, playfully punching him in the arm.
Then Rosie pops up out of the blue and we're all laughing now because that's so typical of Rosie. We sit down and order, then we talk.
"So, Megan and Noah," I say noticing how they are holding hands under the table. "Are you guys together or??? Because just to let you know, we all ship it."
"Yes. We are. I'm glad to here that you approve of our relationship." Megan says sarcastically. We all laugh.
"So, Noah. Jamie is going back to Westpoint and I'm not sure how Lila will take the news." I say.
"Well, she was expecting it I'm sure but I don't really care about her relationships. You know, I have my own to worry about." He explains and holds up his and Megan's hands for me to see.
We continued chatting like that through the whole lunch and then I go back to the Russian Embassy with Alexei where we watch Hercules and Frozen, while cuddling and eating popcorn.
Later, I invite Alexei over for dinner and he agrees. After dinner, we say our goodbyes. He wishes me luck with school and I tell him not to miss me too much. He just laughs and kisses me one more time, making me feel more loved than ever.
