Do you remember when you were young and the night seemed full of shadowy things and mystery, of fear and magic, danger and promise. Witches rode across gold harvest moons, leaves danced on the wind and whispered of cool enticements, invisible eyes followed you wherever you went and yet there was a stillness to it all that felt like you were standing on the edge of a precipice. Any moment felt like it could be the one that would change everything, be the gentle push that would topple you over the edge. But that was alright, because at night it felt like you would fly.
Every light in a window was where your true love sat waiting to be discovered. Every darkened doorway had a secret key waiting to be unearthed. Every field or sidewalk or lamp lit street was a pathway to another realm. Worlds brimming with magic and excitement and destiny, all just out of reach in the shadows. You only had to know the trick and you could unlock all the enchantment promised by the glittering stars.
Anything was possible at night.
