It had been mere days since the Angel of Joy fell. And not just from Heaven. While she had thrived on the joy in Heaven, the misery she now knew of Hell caused her strength to wane day by day, until eventually, the star went out, and could rise no more.
Sera had spared no liberties, of course. Emily was given the finest funeral Heaven could offer, with several crying and toasting to her inherent goodness, to the belief she had always had that people could be better than their circumstances. But there was also... something she didn't mention.
She knew of an ancient burial ground, once cursed by the Root Of All Evil, herself. It would bring the dead back... but at a cost. And most often found the price too high to pay.
But Sera was desperate to have her little sister back. And so, when Emily reappeared in Heaven as though nothing had happened, you could tell that something was chillingly off about the resurrected Angel of Joy. Something sinister. Something that clearly didn't belong.
Though Sera went about with Emily at her side like nothing had happened, preaching to all of Heaven about this "miracle". But truthfully... Emily looked mentally distant. Drained, even. Like she wasn't even paying attention, although she kept that same sweet smile on her face. Something wasn't right...

As he went about his day, something felt wrong, eerie so... He couldn't quite put his finger on it as he stared up at the pentagram in the sky, almost like he could tell something was coming and it wasn't anything good.
It didn't take long for Emily to make her way to Hell, returning to the misery that had first cost her her life. And there's just something... off, about her. No life behind her smile. But unlike Alastor or Valentino, who earn fear with their brutish actions, Emily just seems... creepy. Even her gait is weird, as though her body is just being puppeteered by someone— or something— else. "Hiiii~. Husk, right? Hehe... Nice to meet you," she says. There's nothing outwardly wrong with her words or tone, but something here just isn't right.
Husk backed away slightly, as if put off by the strange eerie feeling she was giving off. "Yeah? That's me. Do i know you?" Right, he hasn't met Emily yet but she definitely knew him, he could gather that much. "Nice to meet you too."
She smiles, but with Husk's time spent with Alastor, he would likely notice how strained it truly appeared. "I'm Emily. Charlie's... friend?" She takes a step closer for each step Husk takes back, like a predator stalking its prey. Not only that, she's giving off... a really foul smell that Husk, again due to working with not just Alastor, but Niffty, might recognize as the scent of decomposition. Death. "Charlie's told me soooo much about you." Not only that, her voice is super... monotone. Not at all like the joyful angel Charlie knew.
He narrowed his eyes at her, catching the smell made him realize he might not be dealing with a living person any longer.
"Emily... She spoke about an angel friend before." There's no doubt Charlie would because Emily was the only one standing up beside her. "Oh has she now? Like what?" His guard still up, not taking his eyes off her even for a second.
Emily nodded. "Hehe, that's me~..." She thinks for a moment about what to say, since there's probably a decent deal. "Like... that you love to drink... that you hate people... and that you're trapped in a soul deal, but that your owner is 'chill', if a little spooky..." Ah, right. Charlie would have no reason to believe Alastor is cruel toward Husk, she wasn't around to see it. And "hate people" is likely a reference to Husk's usual gruffness, but even then, likely not Charlie's exact words.
"Well i wouldn't call it hate exactly but... Maybe grumpy?" At least he's self aware of his own gruff behaviour towards others. "Uuhh... Right, chill... Let's call it that. What are you doing down here exactly?" He's curious about what Emily could possibilly want down here. Especially if he's truly dealing with someone already dead.
"Isn't it the same?" Emily asks, her voice almost mockingly sweet. Then she lets out a dull giggle, a fly landing literally on the surface of her eye before she blinks it away, yet another sign of something... rotting. Flies are decomposers, after all. "I wanted to meet you all... After so long, we can be friends..." she insists, although instantly the idea of what it might mean to be her "friend" is a little alarming...
He's definitely starting to get really creeped out as the hair on his body started standing up when a cat puff themselves up. "Uh... That's nice." He was trying to keep himself calm for now. "What does being your friend come with?" He knows to ask of course.
Emily's smile widened, almost looking like Alastor's by this point. "Well... it means being with me, forever~ Hehee, friends should always be together, shouldn't they?" she coos. And yet, her voice almost sounds tired, completely belying her cheerful face. There's something just so uncanny about her, and she's almost acting the way some animals do when they go rabid...
