Vivid replays of the last time I faced that clearing. Chuchot was on the topmost step looking back at me, as she apprehensively walked on unfamiliar soil. Wondering where the cat was, or just wanting to be as far away from Bacon as possible. It's surreal to be back in the same scene without her. I was there at that very moment, but all I felt was absence.
