It was a Saturday night and you were on the phone with your friend while making ramen for you and your best friend Hoseok, who would be coming over soon. As you waited for the water to boil, you started to complain to her about your feelings.

“I don’t know why I’ve even caught feelings for Hoseok, I just...I don’t know.”

“You’ve had feelings for him for months, why haven’t you said anything?” she questioned.

“You and I both know I can’t. Every time I’m around him my heart skips beats and I just want to show him how much I love him but he’s my best friend and I know he doesn’t feel the same way and…” you trailed off as you heard a cough behind you.

As soon as you heard it you whipped around, facing the doorway into your kitchen. In front of you was a sheepish and awkward looking Hoseok. You felt your heart drop, instantly anxious.

“Y/n? Yyyy/nnnnn,” your friend called over the phone, as you had almost completely forgot she was there.

“Uh-I have to go,” you quickly hung up and turned around to set your phone down on the counter.

Taking a deep breath, you braced yourself to look back at Hoseok, still silently standing there.

“H-How long have you been standing there?” you asked, but your voice was so quiet you didn’t know if he had heard you.

“Long enough. I heard everything I need to know.” You stared at him, too nervous to say anything. “Why didn’t you say anything before?”

“I was scared Hoseok, I know you don’t feel the same way and that’s okay..I just didn’t want to ruin our friendsh-”

“Y/n,” Hoseok interrupted, “I’ve always loved you. Always. I never thought you felt the same way. When I walked in, I heard you mention my name and I know I should’ve stopped you but I had to know how you felt about me.”

He moved towards you, and wrapped his arms around your waist. You buried your face into his chest, not wanting him to see you blushing. You felt a pair of lips kiss your forehead, and then spread into a smile against you.

‘Say you love me too,” Hoseok requested.

“Hoseok!!” You tried to bury your head farther into his chest, but he chuckled and pulled you back.

He looked down at you, a smile still spread across his face. “You’re adorable when you’re embarrassed.” He leaned down and softly kissed your nose.

“Please say you love me?” He asked, eyebrows raised.

“I love you, Hoseok,” you stated, hiding your face in his chest once more.

“And I love you , y/n.”
