Three type of design
There are three type of design: no design, over design and misunderstanding of design
Nobody Cares About You Or Your Site.
For so long time I had been encountering a situation that clients was always asking to "can you change the 1px line to 80% transparent?", "can you move the two objects closer like 2 pixels?" etc many more tiny changes. I believe it were all personal preference, who could judge that 80% transparent line would determine your CTR.
The truth is:
Nobody Cares About You Or Your Site. Really. What visitors care about is solving their problems. Now. Most people visit a website to solve one or more of these four problems: 1. They want/need information 2. They want/need to make a purchase / donation. 3. They want/need to be entertained. 4. They want/need to be part of a community.
Making your site/UI more beautiful is helping to solve use's problem. yes correct, only when you have done the job beforehand well.( the strategy/scope/structure/skeleton)
popular=common=boring "As human beings, we all constantly seek emotional connections with others. We tend to remember things that triggered strong emotions with us. Logically, the next step for designer is to start considering designing for emotions" This is quite like movie design, as an audience which is easily bored and full of preconceived notions, it is the same challenge to produce a movies / design an app which gives user an unexpected feeling and in good way.
Chiese app/website rule 101: busy They believe: busy = value = a standard to measure success I’m gonna ask: since when got this principle? who are they? They are definitely not late 80s, 90s Why they still copy this wrong principle without question it.

Book ref: The element of user experience
It is the same as when u doing UI design. Rush to the visual design would only limit the possibility when if you ask ur designer to try this try that idea on visual polish design. It should have been done when on wireframe stage…
Data and user experience design (UX) go hand-in-hand, allowing you to know things you could never have known otherwise, and improve your products.
The linked article is absolutely amazing. Perhaps the finest piece of writing on the internet. When the aliens find our remains in a million years, this article will be one of the examples of human genius that they preserve.
I wrote it. Obviously. Maybe I am a little biased. Or a lot.
Anywho…
It discusses the idea that you cannot do great design by always trying to find data to support your existing beliefs.
You’ll be a better UX designer if you’re always trying to find data that disagrees with your beliefs and expectations.
