This is actually a photograph. It is not a painting nor is it a photograph of a painting. At first glance of the scene, it looks like a hot mess: no real focal point, mottled colors, and petals strewn about floating on the water. I thought about focusing on the fish to make them tack sharp but with so much floating on top it was a difficult task and I didn’t have my polarizer. So I focused on the petals. A bit of artistic license here and there with some enhanced colors and voilà, you have a painterly, impressionistic, abstract photograph.
