Idea 1 - this is a fruit bowl i made out of old wire from a lamp shade that i arranged into a design and than decorated with foil
My object is Jenga pieces put together. It could be made to be a lamp shade or light. You can colour the bricks in different styles of your choice . You would probably need more bricks as well. 😃
this would be a cool vase :)
Ohh yeah, didn’t think of that, good suggestion .
no problem ^_^

Taking a “lava gel crystal” air freshener, I attempted to shine a variety of lights through them (these included LED lighting and just a basic torch light). I believed that this product would be successful as lighting as the light refracts off of the “crystal” gel bubbles. Also, the gel is available in a variety of colours (above conveys blue and pink), therefore, if it was to be made into lighting, a broad range of colours would be available, and each of these would give a different effect. The shape of the containers is rather unique, and so I believed that this added an interesting dynamic to the product. Lastly, I tried to stack many of the containers on top of each other to create a taller light; although this was successful and I believed looked eye catching, I did not have a strong enough light to shine through each of the containers.
love this :3
FINISHED PRODUCT
here is what my final product will look like, a lovely ecological way to reuse eggshells. as well as to be able to grow something and contribute to the environment.
some plans for these:
if they were to be sold to consumers they could already be made up with compost and seeds so that all the consumer had to do is add water. and them sold in packs called garden eggs with a range of different plants so that they can then be used in some ones garden.
All first years are required to work independantly from home this wednesday morning. Your attendance is not required until 1pm on this day at college. Instead, you are asked to find an object(s) from home and make another product from this/these objects.

this is a product i found is really clever although it is based more towards form than function
Product Design:
Primary Research - Lakeside & Bluewater
For the primary research of our latest college brief ‘product design’ (in which we are to focus on products used around the house, more specifically, bathroom, kitchen and garden) a small group of us decided to go to Lakeside to gather some pictures and get a feel for what we would be focusing on for the next 7 weeks.
Personally, after this research, i am warming to garden products, as there i feel I could push myself to design/improve an innovative product.
