Peanut/Nut Assets
To make peanut shapes, I used my finger and the texture of my finger print. I then scanned the image and imported it into Adobe Illustrator, where I experimented with various tools to determine what produced the greatest effects.
I utilised Adobe Illustrator's image mask to move and change some of the shapes I thought looked best before forming them into a better shape of a peanut/nut for my campaign.

Reflection on Formative
NEW RESEARCH: More than Peanuts Social Media Campaign
Our “More than peanuts” campaign focuses on how being aware of the ingredients in food can help kids, parents, and the community prevent reactions.
Food Allergy Canada: Nonprofit organisation
We educate, support and advocate for the needs of people living with #foodallergy and the risk of anaphylaxis.
With their social media advertisements, they can raise awareness and spark a conversation. The majority of food-induced reactions in Canada are caused by the priority food allergens, of which peanut is just one. Be mindful of these allergies because they may be present in both foods you expect and foods you don't expect.

This awareness campaign has provided me ideas for possible presentation methods for my campaign. I might explore other social media formats to show my content since this platform is user-friendly for target audiences and easy to access. I like how, in contrast to most existing campaigns I've looked at, this campaign concentrates on various foods and the implications of coming into contact with them.
Why Zines Matter?
We must create a 'Printed Matter: 8 Fold A3 Poster Zine, Color Printed and Folded' for this Summative Assessment.
I've reached a stage in my design process where I'm overcomplicating my concepts and designs, and I've reached a point in my research where I'm wondering, Why Zines Matter? What is the point of all this research and design when you're laying up all this information?
“Culturally and historically, zines have served as a powerful outlet for content considered to be too niche, risqué, or outside of the mainstream, in terms of more traditional/commercial forms of publication. A zine can be produced with the simplest of tools, and easily distributed low-to-the ground, outside capitalistic or potentially oppressive systems: amongst friends; in local gathering places or homes; at fests designed to celebrate them!”

What I can draw from this is that zines are designed to provide a safe, expressive, and mash-up of creative self publication. Their modest, simple structure reveals their one-of-a-kind ability to speak creatively and loudly for even the most delicate voices.
Campaign Name
I'm having trouble deciding on a name for my Awareness Campaign. Going back to formative feedback, my 'working title' did not correspond to my topic. With now describing Food Allergies, primarily to nuts, and the effects of anaphylaxis, I have come up with:
DROP NUT
Something that catches the eye of my target audience as well as something straightforward that makes people think. This can be interpreted in both ways because this is slang for "someone who gets terrified and acts like a wuss or someone who drops something a person who chickens out of something and acts unmanly ie drops his nuts."
According to preliminary research, it could also refer to a scrotal hernia, tool equipment, or a crazy individual. All of these discoveries have some connection to the consequences of my issue in some way.
For example, if you consume it, you will experience a variety of symptoms, including anaphylactic shock, which leads to the 'eat the nut you drop' allusion. Food allergies, like mine, are a major issue that affects many aspects of life. Jokes are made, misunderstood, or taken lightly, and comments and questions are asked (Negative Impact) Assumptions "Weird, Different, Complicated "It's difficult to believe and also leads to Anxiety, Fear and Isolation.
Even though my final pick on my awareness campaign name can also convey many meanings, this is my one and fits in nicely with my topic and I'm very happy with it.
Color Palette Inspiration
I was inspired to highlight the EpiPen and the colours associated with the pen. I believe that this needs to be more seen and acknowledged, so I will incorporate the colours into my Awareness Campaign Assets. It's a matter of trial and error to figure out what works best, especially when printed.
