Graf clips pt. 6 from the new Teal Talk interview:)
(āDid getting to the 20-goal milestone, doesnāt that mean something for a guy like yourself?ā)
āYeah, it does. Itās, you know, I definitely had a lot of help along the way. I think that I might not have thought it was a big one, but I definitelyāa lot of people congratulated me and maybe sort of made me notice that it, you know, itās something that I should be proud of and that you never know whatās going to happen, but it was something I should be proud of. So I think it was cool.ā

(āDoes being undrafted, does that still light a fire for you? Or have you closed that chapter?ā)
āNo, it still lights a fire for me. Itās just a funny question, because my brother isāthey just released the Central Scouting, so heās out on it now. I donāt know if heās gonna get picked or not, but I wasnāt on that list, obviously. So, you know, I think that we were having fun looking at my draft year, and obviously thereās a lot of good players, but thereās a lot of players who never even played a professional game. So I think that, I always had confidence in myself as a player, and, you know, just try to put in as much work as I possibly can to get where I want to be. And Iām still gonna have that mentality of, āI want to get better, and I want to help the team more and help this team win,ā and just keep that going in the summer.ā

(āWhat has helped your age group mature maybe quicker than most, or as quickly as you needed to?ā)
āā¦I also think that, you know, the losing from last year⦠sucks. Like, that losingās the worst thingāitās the worst thing in the world. And, you know, that feeling that you have where you justāobviously, we lost a lot of games. And it sucks, and you donāt want that to happen again. I think that thatās sort of on everyone, just motivated them even more toāus as a team, to win more games.ā
Graf clips pt. 3 from the new Teal Talk interview:)
(āWhen you look at Macklin, is it more his athleticism? Or is there a lot going on upstairs? Is he more of a cerebral guy or more of an athletic guy to get the results he does?ā)
āPersonally, I think itās the brain. I think itās the way he thinks it. He just thinks itāobviously he plays really fast, but I think he plays really fast because he thinks it so fast. And you see what a lot of the, you know, the best players in the league do. Whether itās McDavid or itās Kucherov, everyone and Mack, they do it differently, right? They donāt play the same exact way, but I think the common theme is that they all think the game faster than everyone else and use their skills to their advantage and then basically just go out there and produce.ā
Graf clips pt. 2 from the new Teal Talk interview:)
(āAre you saying [fans showing up and bringing the energy] actually translates to the players? Like you can notice a different vibe or the ice might be tilted in a game where a situation is like that?ā)
āYeah, for sure. I think that, especially when the crowdās goingāwhether itās home or away, but especially at homeāyou get goosebumps at certain points in the game. That sort ofāyouāre like, āOh, you know, this is pretty cool.ā Like⦠I wanna do my best here to help the team, and also help all the people who came and supported us.ā
Graf clips pt. 1 from the new Teal Talk interview:)
(āDid you ever feel in a certain game, that because the crowd and energy was all of a sudden there, did a game ever change because of that?ā)
āFor sure. I thinkāI feel like the one game that I keep thinking of at home was that Montreal one. Just ācause, I mean there were a lot of goals scored, so it was a pretty entertaining game. I think that it was a little bit back and forth. We had runs, they had runs, and you know, that was justāI mean, looking back on the year, thatās definitely one of the most fun games. Especially at home. I think that the crowd definitely played a big part in us getting that win.ā
