On a side note, this is just a fun composition and stylistic exercise. ♡ I'm having so much fun with the redraws lately. It's very interesting to play and realize how much you can twist or increase a certain vibe on an image just by playing with angles and little details, heh.

This one is inspired by the mv of Umbra, by Ghost - I love the passion, the yearning, the cat-and-mouse game that it represents, and I thought it fitted these two well.

the thing about erza is that so many people try to pull her to extremes. either she's extremely strong stoic and "manly", or she's ditzy cute girly with skirts and wedding dresses and kawaii strawberry cakes, or she's sexy catwoman armour-of-love wearing seductive siren with scarlet hair and a mysterious aura comparable to gods. like i love that she's not monochrome in this fandom, but sometimes the advocates for her feminine side needs to realise that every single part of her is feminine. knee-deep in blood and all. And on the other side of the field, the fairy-queen-preachers, slayed-100-monsters-in-one-go-truthers have to warm up to the side of her that goes weak in the knees at the implication of jellal yearning for her.

i'd bring this topic over to every girl portrayed in media bc it always applies, but it feels like a lot of people struggle with bridging over erza's different sides especially. they're all the same person, all of the time. don't be scared of making her multidimensional.
