Minimalist Queen Icons
Iām all here for supporting Queen artists and just artists in general, as I am one myself, but I have never shared my own art. I finally made some pieces I am proud enough to share, even though they are not complex, but that I had fun making.

Johnās solo projects
In Queen, we often see it as if everyone, but John has done solo projects on the side such as appearances in movies and such. Well surprisingly, John is no exception to that rule! Here is 2 of those:
1. For the movie Ā« Biggies Adventures in Time Ā» in 1986 John created a band called Ā« The Immortals Ā» which is ironic considering they only recorded one song before disbanding. The track was written and produced by John and is called Ā« No Turning Back Ā» . Enjoy listening to his creation!

2. Then in 1988, he appeared in a parody of the Beasties Boys called Ā« Stutter Rap Ā» by Morris Minor & Majors. Itās quite interesting as you see him wear a spiky blue wigā¦ Here is a link to it.
Blue wig, eyeliner, frosted eyeshadow are a good look on him
It seems like John had some fun in the 80ā²s, thatās for sure. You donāt have to underestimate him, he will always manage to surprise you in some kind of way.

Do you know whoĀ āLarry Lurexā is ?
Weāve all heard of Freddie Mercury, but few are those who know the nameĀ Ā« Larry Lurex Ā». Youād be surprised to know, that these are actually the same person. Let me explain.
In the summer of 1972, when Queen was producing their self-titled debut album, a sound engineer by the name of Robby Geoffrey Cable working for their record decided to let Freddie record some covers. Freddie decided then to bring in at the same time Brian and Roger for some guitar, percussion and backing vocals.
The first press had a typo with Ā«Ā HerĀ Ā» instead of Ā«Ā HearĀ Ā»
The two songs he made covers of are Ā«Ā I Can Hear MusicĀ Ā» andĀ Ā«Ā Goinā BackĀ Ā» but decided to publish them under a different name: Larry Lurex.
The name is a pun based on a rock starās stage name Ā«Ā Garry GlitterĀ Ā» but instead of glitter the materialĀ lurex was chosen. Then, a not so clever combination of the two created that name.
You can also hear at the end of Freddieās last recorded track Ā«Ā Mother loveĀ Ā» a bit of the recording of Ā«Ā Goinā BackĀ Ā». So technically, this is the first audio ever of Freddieās voice... and is also included in the last one we hear. How awesome is that?
I mean... itās pretty accurate if you ask me. I donāt see anything wrong with it.
