Shower Thought

this is a poem i wrote after pondering in the shower

You stand there and let your hair soak up the water as it falls from the shower head. Thoughts also soak up, and they aren't just thoughts about what your gonna have for dinner or finishing that one chemistry assignment. You think to yourself, did I sound rude when i was saying hi back? Why didn't they like my story today? You think to yourself “everyone hates me”. “Everyone hates me and they are not oh wait actually- wrong to feel that way.” So you spend each day alone, all by yourself, all day. because you can't handle anymore people hating you right? You see your friend who you haven't talked to in a while because they did something that hurt you. Betrayed you. Instead of talking to them you would just avoid them entirely. I mean they betrayed you right? They must hate you. But today, today is different. You instead decide im gonna go talk to them because deep down you know you miss them. After talking to them you resolve the issues and everything is fine. But as you leave you still can't get that thought out of your mind “they hate me. They hate me” You go home, you take your shower and while you stand there and let your hair soak up the water as it falls from the shower head you think to yourself. “i hate me.” And you don't know what to do with that.
